Lyrics:
Dear one, the world is waiting for the sunrise
Every rose is covered with dew
And while the world is waiting for the sunrise
And my heart is calling you
Dear one, the world is waiting for the sunrise
Every little rose bud is covered with dew
And my heart is calling for you
The thrush on high, his sleepy mate is calling
And my heart is calling you Видеоклипы
rest in peace Jeff i always enjoy this song
👏👏
Happy and great!
Great upload ! I enjoy it so much .
Have a nice weekend !
The original Les Paul recording was done on the key of C and they they speed up the tape so you listen it as #C ; this is a lot easier to play in C like Les Paul did as you use lot's of open strings - Jeff Beck here is playing it in #C which is much harder and doesn't misses one single note, amazing!
That's because Jeff IS amazing.
A new day is happiness ,joy and love for us

great work! it's not so stunning as the original but it has balls on its own - more modern and more music club like - with the nostalgic sound you managed to get out of your performance I say it is a 99,9% success

I love Imelda May but where are the backup singers singing harmony? 😉
MUSIC. Capitol M-U-S-I-C!
This sounds awesome, Jeff Beck is bad ass, my only qualm is that they should of got 2 back up singers to sing with Imelda back ups on stage right rather than her singing along to herself, for having to sing to a track versus just live takes that live edge off, in my humble opinion
I think you are missing the point. Imelda does it exactly the way Mary Ford did because this was a Les Paul tribute show. Watch the video of the whole show and you will see her explain at the start that she pre-recorded her own backing vocals the way Mary Ford used to. Les Paul pioneered overdubbing and multi-track recording so it was essential to the performance for authenticity.
Thank you for the explanation. I was also wondering if there was a back up vocalist or not. Didn't realize that it was a tribute to Les Paul and Mary Ford. I have listened to the original so many times😊Always so fresh and pleasing each time!
And ask a dumb question where is the female vocals coming from
Imelda May had said right before her performance that she had prerecorded her extra vocals , similar to what Les and Mary did all those years ago, to add authenticity
wait, who's that guy with sleeves on the Les Paul?
Jeff Beck was a brilliant guitarist, but he kind of struggles doing this. Shows how good Les was, I guess.
VERY GOOD BUT, *LES PAUL AND MARY FORD*
STILL THE BEST..
original is much better. jeff beck plays to silent and without energy and too much simplicised. same thing for the singer. no power at all.
Mr. Know it all has spoken!
