There’s a racing game on steam called Distance. The game has community maps and there’s playlist of accleracers maps even some from the card game and world race. It’s probably the closet thing we’ll have unless an officially licensed game is made
The purpose was the ultimate race. Kind of like getting small advantages at the end of a leg of a race. Like starting farther up at the starting line. I think that the accelerons were more impressed by the fact that someone used none of them and still managed to almost tie someone who was using all of them.
Not really, the Accelechargers are also provide aid even on Ultimate Race. On Water Realm, Gelorum are floating above the water surface. On Metro Realm, she rams other cars without losing speed. On Cliffside ream, she can pass any turn without drifting.
I think something needs to be said for the fact that Gelorum technically broke what I believe the Accelerons wanted the rules to be for the Ultimate Race. I think the Accelerons expected the Ultimate Race to be between two or more people, each with their own set of accelechargers. So, in the case of the final movie, Gelorum would have the ones the drones won, and Vert would have the ones Tezla and his team won. Maybe the Silencerz could have been a dark horse, wielding THEIR accelechargers. Then, it would be a game of who could use the accelechargers in creative ways outside and inside the realms they were originally intended for. Whoever had the most would have an advantage, having more options, but they had to win more races to earn that. Gelorum broke this (unwritten) set of potential rules when she stole all of the accelechargers, opening the Ultimate Race early and essentially giving her a free advantage on the realms she had accelechargers to beat. They also gave her an edge in realms not previously entered, as Vert says “I’ve been in some realms I haven’t even seen before!” (Though this could be that Vert missed some realms while he was doing his whole “clearing my head” thing, I don’t quite remember. Either way, it’s interesting.) Also, I don’t think the Accelerons counted on the teams that were created to enter the realms (Teku, Metal Maniacs, Silencerz, Drones). As racing is an individualistic sport (only one driver can achieve first place), it makes sense that only individuals could enter the Ultimate Race as participants, not whole teams. Sure, there might be people who support the drivers that enter, but multiple drivers on the same team? People using accelechargers they didn’t win themselves? Blasphemy! That’s why the Accelerons were so impressed by Vert. They expected him and Gelorum to have similar numbers of accelechargers, and assumed whoever used them better would be the winner. So when Gelorum rocked up and said “I got them all”, they looked to her and said “and pretty boy kept up with you? Damn, he must be a driving badass”. I don’t think you’re wrong about the paradoxical nature of the accelechargers. As Acceleron philosophy seemingly centers on circular reasoning (a fallacy, but one that makes sense for their culture to emphasize as a good thing), it could very well be that the accelechargers are a prize and a temptation, and that using them as a crutch hurts youe credibility as a racer. However, between how the Ultimate Race might have gone and how the realms got harder as the series went on (forcing drivers to use the accelechargers they had to GET more accelechargers), perhaps Gelorum is to blame for why the accelechargers are seen the way they are by the community, as a paradox. Oh and side note, the Swamp Realm accelecharger does have to do with navigation. I didn’t realize it until you said it, but it makes tracks easier to navigate by creating new paths that can connect pieces of track. Essentially, it’s a shortcut generator. While useful in other realms (it’s OP in some ways), it would help a lot in the swamp realm if you could just hop from track to track until you find the end to skirt hazards and dead ends.
And more than that, I could see the accelechargers still being useful on "earth prime" after being won, which may be why Tezla & Silencerz were after them
Imo, beside for testing willpower of winning, accelechargers existed only for a key to the acceleron world. Well, I know accelecharger can be used if you find unexpected struggle at the realms without decreasing your skill and willpower to win the realm. For example: Shirako on Water Realm, Nolo and Karma at Pipeline Realm, Vert at Junk Realm, etc. That's unexpected struggle and skills and the car isn't enough. For examle is Nolo and Karma at Pipeline Realm. Even they're skillful enough for that realm, how they can get to another side of the pipeline without using swamp accelecharger ? They will falling down. So yeah, using accelechargers at non-specific realm isn't really cheating at all. It depends on the situation. It can be cheating, or not. That just my opinion.
The think the Cliffside realm has the secondary skill of how much damage your car can take. Because you can shortcut so much of the track, but you risk damaging your car. I think the Ruins Realm is about pathfinding.
Or maybe the skill had nothing to do with drifting at all, and it was simply about acknowledging you never have to follow the track if you find a faster route. There's always been some great intentional track design used in the realms, which encourage and inhibit drivers from doing specific things. For the sake of the Cliffside realm: -Drivers start off with an immediate drop and a big loop, giving two chances to look directly down and gauge the whole track. -There's a repetitive number of hairpin loops and switchbacks, which help indicate a pattern and keep a slow pace you'd feel like skipping. -All the track is within a small area, in the horizontal sense. The tracks for realms are typically stretched out over a long distance and with considerable elevation changes. It's pretty safe to consider the skill being about making reasonable and calculated shortcuts
@@andrewreid6867 The AcceleChargers actually skip skills all together, Neon Pipeline was about downforce and with that you can cling to surfaces to an extent which its AcceleCharger provides grip no matter what, Swamp is about staying in the line with best grip and its AcceleCharger keeps you in the track which keeps you in the center regardless of what you do and Ruins is Defensive Driving which involves having an escape route and what not which its AcceleCharger let's you phase through walls and can just get to the escape route without effort so Cliffside is about Drifting specifically in hairpin turns and it's a driving skill you need because if you dont master this, you'll just lose control when drifting and shoot off the edge of cliffs but let's take another Realm that is like it which is Cybergrid, that Realm is about snapping in sharp turns without getting hit which what does its AcceleCharger do? Let's you do that skill without even trying and more instantaneous & can do all types of sharp turns.
@@artistanthony1007 Neon Pipeline was about drafting, a technique used to lower air resistance and increase speed, not downforce. Wall Crawl isn't reducing your resistance to the air or road. While the Swamp realm was about finding the line with the best grip, it's never been mentioned anywhere that the sprout roads were any better to drive on than the actual grooved track surface in the Swamp Realm. Theoretically, a path made out of plants wouldn't have similar or better traction. Even if it was to shortcut the final test of the Swamp realm, it wouldn't make a car fast enough to escape the vines. As for the Cliffside, Ruins and Cybergrid realms? Nobody ever said what the skills were. We're filling the gaps with what we have seen, read and heard. I agree that the Ruins realm is most likely clean driving, and it's Accelecharger can make use of itself very well there. But to say that the Cliffside realm is must be about hairpin drifting is a bit much. The opening design for the realm itself inspires all drivers to skip sections of the track, and in the debate of Grip vs Drift you can make an argument for a skill involving not wasting the rubber on your tyres by skidding. And yeah, while the Cybergrid realm mentions 90 degree turns, and the Accelecharger is supposed to snap them, the points above make it clear that Accelechargers don't match the skills of their realm. For all we know, 90 degree turns can simply be a trait of the track design while the real skill involved good gear changes or something acceleration-related.
Andrew Reid part of the Metro Realm is probably also calculating timing. Is it worth it to get off the freeway? Yes. Okay, but how far off the freeway? Additionally, I do think it is quote possible that the Ruins Realm features gravel pathways on the forest floor.
Just a little fun fact, in the Brazilian dub gelorun says to the acceleron " i completed the realms , now u have to take me with you " instead of "now you have to Race me"
The Accelechargers seem to be both a reward and a test. Nothing says you can't use the Accelecharges outside the Realms, the two teams practiced with them outside the realms. It does seem like they were meant to be a test of character. And the Ultimate Race was the final test on whether you would rely on them or the lessons you learnt to get them.

@@chinnymisc i think the Accelerons idea wasn´t the "no accelechargers race", instead they wanted a race between more racers than two, maybe with the accelechargers being a "you won in this place before, take this realm as a rest in the ultimate race" there was only one Wheel of power, so i think they expected maybe something like an organized race, maybe 8, 10, or more racers in all the realms, and in the ultimate race, in that hypotetic case everyone would be in an "even" field. Or maybe they saw that Vert was a better driver and sayd "yeh, you completed all the realms first, but he didn´t use the cheats, so he is better" Or maybe they knew how Gelorum was and they never wanted her in the first place.
The Wheel of Power can take you into any location remember? However because of the hologram not actually being the real thing, entering Realms when you please consume alot of electricity and only allows a limited number.
It's not the fact that they(vert) get turned into a Acceleron, they essentially become what's known as an "Acceleracer". Someone who has the right to race the Accelerons. As Gelorum puts it. (1/2)
What I think would’ve been a cool function is each accelcharger could reopen its respective realm. This is more of a fan idea but it would’ve been cool to see the charger put into a slot and the portal opens up the swap or cave realm so drivers could practice on the tracks without the realm danger like bats or swamp beast

It also says something about Vert’s skills as a driver that he managed to keep up right behind Gelorum throughout the entirety of the ultimate race Never once did he fall so far behind that it would have been impossible to catch up, despite her having ALL of the accelechargers he still managed to be right on her tail with his skills and his skills alone. It's more than just the Swamp Accelecharger that don't fully line up with the realm's intended skill or hazards. Cliffside - There's an argument to be made that the skill for this realm wasn't drifting, but instead taking calculated shortcuts with care. Not just because of Shirako's and Vert's attempts to cut the track, but the ingenious way the tracks have been designed to encourage/discourage drivers from doing certain things.. In this case, all drivers start the realm by getting two massive glances at the entire track before they even hit their first corner. Remember, nobody ever stated was the skill for this realm was. Same deal applies to the Ice and Ruins realms, so we've just been piecing together what we know from track design and actions with no confirmation. Pipeline - The Wall Crawl Accelecharger would be very useful if you needed the downforce to stick to a wall or ceiling, or climbing up a hill without gravity issues. If the skill for this realm was understanding a car's weight and momentum, or something about track camber, it would be useful here. But the skill is about drafting, apparently. Even looking back on the track design for the end of the Pipeline realm, there's no way for a car to (using the walls) carry the speed to power through those air ducts. Junk - The Frictionless Accelecharger is good for dropping wind and road resistance to zero, to ramp over obstacles and hover over anything that might break. That is in no way helpful in hitting apexes or evading wrecking balls, electromagnets or a giant mechanoid destroyer. Cosmic - The Light Speed Accelecharger is self-explanatory, but the skill was involving smooth actions in maintain traction while meteors gave you incentive to start dodging like crazy. Monument - the 2-D Accelecharger is just as explanatory, but from what we know about the realm through the card game, the skill was most likely following navigations and signals to avoid traps and hazards. It certainly wouldn't help with the shocking hazard we see right on the card. Maybe if there was closing walls like in a trash compactor it'd make sense? I doubt that. Just going off the card game some more, there's at least 2 more Accelechargers that don't match up because the possible skills are already met in other realms; The Sound Buffer Accelecharger from the Reactor realm negates all sound, which could only be useful if the skill involved distractions. But that's the Storm realm's gimmick. The Total Traction Accelecharger from the Blizzard realm seems like it does the same job as Slip Grip from the Ice realm, but both realms can't share the skill of driving in Slippery conditions. There's a possible mention for Anti Gravitation from the Solar realm as well, but there's nothing saying that the skill here wasn't gravity related (maybe this one was about camber, but I'm really leaning towards something about avoiding glare from incoming lights).
It is about drifting as no other Realm is about drifting, Vert just figured out how to take the fastest way down and skip because he had no other option, Gelorum was too far ahead. These Realms are named after racing environments, the Card Text officially states it's perfect for drivers who like Hairpin Turns.
Also I wrote down a list of skills and spent time understanding, I figured out Solar is keeping your entire vehicle in good condition as it's an environmental thing, Lava only does the Tires which the Solar AcceleCharger is literally skipping the hot Track and Flares, I mean its Card Text specifically states that you must smear on the SPF1M which means you're trying not to touch the 1M degree Track, that's the closest confirmation we're ever gonna get.

None of us actually know the skills of the realms not shown in the series, and the cards do not necessarily reflect the skills involved. As an exercise, try to imagine what the Metro realm's skill was supposed to be, by only considering the card and nothing else. Smooth braking and weight balance definitely isn't coming to mind. As for the card text, there's some distinguishing to be made between what's actually going on in the realm and what's filler text to "sell" you the idea of wanting to drive there. It is not a "must" to smear on sunscreen. The Swamp realm track may not actually be alive and growing. People who like hairpin turns will like the Cliffside realm, but might not actually prosper. And back to the Solar realm; Interesting theory, except that the "understanding how the track affects tyres" thing from the Lava realm shouldn't be amplified to the entire car and driver. It's more or less the same thing, just with more dire consequences. Asides from the various mod cards regarding this and the solar flare hazard card, I know that dealing with glare and blindness is a driving skill applied by everybody on the road. The trick is to look as far away from whatever's glaring while still focusing on the road. If there's one thing to believe about the card text, it's probably that there's no room to slow down, meaning you can't pull over and wait for the glares to die down (like drivers are expected to during sunrise/sunset). While it's not mentioned, perhaps an eclipse might also play a role in that realm as a blinding hazard. The most important thing to remember though, despite you claiming to have written down the skills for each realm.. We cannot look to the cards for guidance on what each realm might be about. It may be have some indicators as to what's on the track, but that's it.
actually i would say even more. All realms test at least 2 skills from the driver. - The Storm realm tests reflexes and attention - The Swamp realm tests road traction, but also decision making (Porkchop going closer to the swamp and further to the water, and benji's car being on the water indicating there could be something even scarier than the swamp beast) (Gig saying last time they led to nowhere) - The Water realm test hydroplaning, but it also tests your courage (with porkchop breaking and entering the water) (with Taro accelerating almost through the mouth of the big fish, but crossing safely) - The Metro realm tests soft breaking, localization, and speeding through traffic (with Kurt dealing with the trucks) - The Pipeline realm tests Drafting, but it also tests pathfinding and mantaining speed - The Junk realm tests cutting the apex, but it also tests driver's abilities to keep an eye in their surroundings (with Vert being caught by the magnet) (with Anthracite being knocked out by the junk monster after throwing the magnetic mines) - The Cosmic realm not only tests the driver's abilities at staying at high speed or low gravity, it also tests their capacity to react to changes in the road they're driving (with the meteors hitting the road and drones flying even if they weren't directly hit, or Porkchop flying after monkey distracted him)
Oh and you dont want to Hydroplane as that's what caused Vert to lose control and fail to win, the AcceleCharger just makes driving over water easier and able to drive on all types of liquid surfaces so with Hydro Glide, you can drive on the ocean.
From what I can work out It’s like the Accelerchagers are a key and cheat sheet to the accelerons home world and they want you to make their on your own power not theirs. If that makes sense to anyone.
but their have been times they are used in more emergency situations like when shirako was thrown off the track in the water realm and used the swamp accelecharger to save himself to get back on the track, or when karma used the cavern accelecharger to get the sweepers attention and lastly my favorite when nolo and karma are about to drive off a dead end in the pipeline realm they used it to get to the next pipeline to continue the race. they can be used in more handy ways in ways that aren't cheating. their like equipment used to help you out in a pinch. though some are more pointless then others sadly like the only useful accelechargers from what i can see for multi-usage are the cavern, swamp, metro, warp, junk, monument, cosmic and maybe cliffside. (i don't remember the card realms sadly) but basicly some are better then others as many of the other realm accelechargers are really only one trick ponies like what other realm would have you driving in lightning, or having to drive close to lava outside their respected realms?
@@chinnymisc i know that but other times they where used in situations where the skill of the realm was not needed like shirako was thrown of the map by the drone ramp launcher, or vert using the swarm charger in the junk realm to get back on the track as the skill for that realm was net even needed until later in the realm when they reached the wrecking balls. i under what you saying and fully agree with you but their are some times when the accelechargers where needed and didn't break the rules. just though you should take that in concideration

The purpose of the accelechargers are as a gift to further point out the skill you just learned. A reward always boosts learning, esp. when it's a cool power that shows what you learned. It also tests against the ultimate race: not using them and instead using your own skills, as you realize you don't need them. They are simply "gifts of cool power".
I think the purpose of the Accelechargers is two-fold. Both being pretty obvious to most: 1. They act as keys to unlock The Ultimate Race: The final exam of the Accelerons to prove that you can claim the title of Acceleracer. 2. They're a temptation, a proverbial carrot dangling over your head that goads you into using the Accelechargers to cheese your way through TUR.
For sure a plot hole, because if only one driver went through the realms while using the accelechargers and reached the sphere, how can we assume they wouldn’t become an acceleron. At the very least, the driver must have all the accelechargers to trigger the ultimate race, that seems like the real purpose of them.
2:36 when I was watching the ultimate race and the cliff side realm showed I said the driving skill for it was D R I F T I N G especially when your going for the apex even though in the junk realm the driving skill for that was hitting the apex in the corners
It's just drifting, the Realms are built for every Racing Skill, Drifting and Hitting the Apex are different things in racing. Edit:And Driving Skills, both are focused on in the Racing Realms.
Also you're gonna be shocked at this but I realized every Racing Realm are made in a specific order, the first Realm with a turning-based skill is Cliffside which requires you to be able to drift then Ice requires you to handle slippery roads then Neon Pipeline requiree that but able to stabilize yourself and have downforce and handle constant swerving by obstacles then Junk requires you to encounter more obstacles and hit the apex of the turn, knowing how to swerve at the right moment.
The Accelechargers are a trap. In other to win one, you must master the skill for that realm and win 1st place. It's essentially a gold medal proving you won. And it's ok to use them in other realms to help you win since something like the cavern Accelecharger wouldn't help you win the Metro Realm, etc. Ultimately you need all the Accelechargers (or at least enough) to unlock the Ultimate Race. I the UR comes with the caveat that if you have enough Accelechargers to open it, then you should have to skill to complete it since you won does Accelechargers. Although the Accelerons might not have account for multiple factions fighting over the Accelechargers and one of them (the drones in this case) stealing them all.
after re-watching this, it similar to the temptation of taking the fake wheel of power, which is in the middle of Highway 35 not the end, maybe that's why Kadeem became a drone, due to his temptation to win, getting the best of him since taking the fake one.
Yes. Accelechargers were just help the driver, not for taking shortcuts to used on its corresponding realms. Keep in mind that Overusing the accelechargers would also damage the cars as its energy put too much stress. This was shown where Nolo's High Voltage became stressed before falling. Thankfully, he and his accelechargers are survived. Outside its original usage for temporary aid, on Metro Realm, Karma uses Tork's Cavern Realm Accelechargers to trigger the drones for another accelechargers. In the end, we know that GIG (override Tezla's reprogramming) taking the Accelechargers, replace them with its fake, powerless copy. This was proved when Tork uses Swamp Accelechargers to save Porkchop, it doesn't work. It just shown electrical surge on Accelechargers compartement, still not damage the car. Pretty sure if Vert failed to follow Tezla's Instruction to stop Gelorum and accidentally let Gelorum enter the Sphere, Gelorum was still rejected by Acceleron, because she uses accelechargers on the whole ultimate race. The swamp realm accelecharger exists for plot development, if the accelecharger gave you full grip or monster repellent or the vine road with the monster repellent it would make more sense for its respective realm
Just checked the accelerators wiki the blizzard realm accelecharger gives full traction, so monster repellent would have been a more usable feature (especially if it was combined with the vine ) and it could have been written into the show this way
I think that it might have been that the Accelechargers were intentionally meant to be used as a way to complete the Ultimate race to reach the Accelerons but once one saw that you could do the Race without the Accelechargers he declared Vert the Winner because he understood what it meant to be a driver rather than relying on the power of the Accelechargers. Also it could be that Accelechargers were meant to be used by multiple people since the wheel of power is meant to test any race that uses it. So the Accelechargers might have been meant to be used by individual racers who could then make them their own and use them to race in the following realms and not the one they are won in. The Ultimate race was meant to find the ultimate Drivers which I think if every racer only ever had 1 or 2 they'd be accepted but not someone hoaring the Accelechargers like Gelorum did.
Mmmmm idk. RD-L1 was spamming 3 different AcceleChargers in the storm realm and he only won because of that. And we don’t know what a good majority of the realms look like so maybe they would have uses in those realms
I would like to argue with you. In the junk realm if you remember Vert was about to be crushed by the compactor. He uses the Swamp Accelacharger to escape. True he could have used the jump jets like in the Desert leg of the world race but would it have not cost him time instead of using the Accelacharger. Riddle me that
He did use the jump jets btw - Also o said "using the accelerchargers shows yoir lack of skill in that specific realms or other realms" very was probably lacking awareness as a skill or a other driving related skill to get away from the magnetic tgong
You can actually use them in the Realms and anywhere really, just not to win especially in the final test as the Accelerons let Vert take the Movie ones and the three Card Game ones and so dont mind if you use them outside of the test, just not during that test because it's to test your skills, see if you can really go without using any AcceleChargers.
One thing that i never saw anyone talk about was the ultimate race vert bost. I think on the Swamp realm vert SHOULD be without boost. The point is, i think the ultimate race resets the pilot boost, every realm it's a car reset. And this is why vert boosted twice in the cosmic realm. He knew that he would have boost to the circle realm at the end. to me, this is one of the possible explanations. The reason i think it's like this? if a pilot gets a car almost broken, he SHOULD be able to compete on the other realms. this is what i think about the vert boost. Since he entered the ultimate race with full boost, he had infinite boost through realms, but not on the same realm.
It took me a while, but i think i got the a more concrete answer of what are the accelechargers, they are proof medal that you have the skill to defeat that realm and that skill can be used to give you an advantage on future races. For example the cave and mist realm accelechargers are only good for clearing low visibility parts of the race which are few and far between but are very useful in many places of different realms.
accelechargers are good to give you momentum in the same realm or help you out on anothers.... BUT abusing the accelechargers with out showing skill is what dint allow gelorum to become and acceleron by instance cosmic realm is by far one of the most overpower accelechargers can help you in any realm since is practially a stronger nitrox, cliffside is alsone one of them since it allows your car to keep its velocity in turns plus giving you insane grip

There’s a racing game on steam called Distance. The game has community maps and there’s playlist of accleracers maps even some from the card game and world race. It’s probably the closet thing we’ll have unless an officially licensed game is made
The purpose was the ultimate race. Kind of like getting small advantages at the end of a leg of a race. Like starting farther up at the starting line. I think that the accelerons were more impressed by the fact that someone used none of them and still managed to almost tie someone who was using all of them.
and vert to motivated to chase her, to win instead, and even though he didn't win by default, his strive to win got him that far.
The AcceleChargers just provide aid in environments, you just can't use them the the Ultimate Race because it's like a tournament.

Not really, the Accelechargers are also provide aid even on Ultimate Race. On Water Realm, Gelorum are floating above the water surface. On Metro Realm, she rams other cars without losing speed. On Cliffside ream, she can pass any turn without drifting.
I think something needs to be said for the fact that Gelorum technically broke what I believe the Accelerons wanted the rules to be for the Ultimate Race.
I think the Accelerons expected the Ultimate Race to be between two or more people, each with their own set of accelechargers. So, in the case of the final movie, Gelorum would have the ones the drones won, and Vert would have the ones Tezla and his team won. Maybe the Silencerz could have been a dark horse, wielding THEIR accelechargers. Then, it would be a game of who could use the accelechargers in creative ways outside and inside the realms they were originally intended for. Whoever had the most would have an advantage, having more options, but they had to win more races to earn that.
Gelorum broke this (unwritten) set of potential rules when she stole all of the accelechargers, opening the Ultimate Race early and essentially giving her a free advantage on the realms she had accelechargers to beat. They also gave her an edge in realms not previously entered, as Vert says “I’ve been in some realms I haven’t even seen before!” (Though this could be that Vert missed some realms while he was doing his whole “clearing my head” thing, I don’t quite remember. Either way, it’s interesting.)
Also, I don’t think the Accelerons counted on the teams that were created to enter the realms (Teku, Metal Maniacs, Silencerz, Drones). As racing is an individualistic sport (only one driver can achieve first place), it makes sense that only individuals could enter the Ultimate Race as participants, not whole teams. Sure, there might be people who support the drivers that enter, but multiple drivers on the same team? People using accelechargers they didn’t win themselves? Blasphemy!
That’s why the Accelerons were so impressed by Vert. They expected him and Gelorum to have similar numbers of accelechargers, and assumed whoever used them better would be the winner. So when Gelorum rocked up and said “I got them all”, they looked to her and said “and pretty boy kept up with you? Damn, he must be a driving badass”.
I don’t think you’re wrong about the paradoxical nature of the accelechargers. As Acceleron philosophy seemingly centers on circular reasoning (a fallacy, but one that makes sense for their culture to emphasize as a good thing), it could very well be that the accelechargers are a prize and a temptation, and that using them as a crutch hurts youe credibility as a racer.
However, between how the Ultimate Race might have gone and how the realms got harder as the series went on (forcing drivers to use the accelechargers they had to GET more accelechargers), perhaps Gelorum is to blame for why the accelechargers are seen the way they are by the community, as a paradox.
Oh and side note, the Swamp Realm accelecharger does have to do with navigation. I didn’t realize it until you said it, but it makes tracks easier to navigate by creating new paths that can connect pieces of track. Essentially, it’s a shortcut generator. While useful in other realms (it’s OP in some ways), it would help a lot in the swamp realm if you could just hop from track to track until you find the end to skirt hazards and dead ends.
And more than that, I could see the accelechargers still being useful on "earth prime" after being won, which may be why Tezla & Silencerz were after them
Imo, beside for testing willpower of winning, accelechargers existed only for a key to the acceleron world.
Well, I know accelecharger can be used if you find unexpected struggle at the realms without decreasing your skill and willpower to win the realm. For example: Shirako on Water Realm, Nolo and Karma at Pipeline Realm, Vert at Junk Realm, etc.
That's unexpected struggle and skills and the car isn't enough. For examle is Nolo and Karma at Pipeline Realm. Even they're skillful enough for that realm, how they can get to another side of the pipeline without using swamp accelecharger ? They will falling down.
So yeah, using accelechargers at non-specific realm isn't really cheating at all. It depends on the situation. It can be cheating, or not. That just my opinion.
this is why accelerons watch the final race. they deduce what is cheating or not.
Gelorum lack of skills his also probably why she is not racing in the realms to help the drones win the accelecharger

The think the Cliffside realm has the secondary skill of how much damage your car can take. Because you can shortcut so much of the track, but you risk damaging your car. I think the Ruins Realm is about pathfinding.
There's many others though like Cybergrid and Desert, those are much more dangerous.
Or maybe the skill had nothing to do with drifting at all, and it was simply about acknowledging you never have to follow the track if you find a faster route.
There's always been some great intentional track design used in the realms, which encourage and inhibit drivers from doing specific things.
For the sake of the Cliffside realm:
-Drivers start off with an immediate drop and a big loop, giving two chances to look directly down and gauge the whole track.
-There's a repetitive number of hairpin loops and switchbacks, which help indicate a pattern and keep a slow pace you'd feel like skipping.
-All the track is within a small area, in the horizontal sense. The tracks for realms are typically stretched out over a long distance and with considerable elevation changes.
It's pretty safe to consider the skill being about making reasonable and calculated shortcuts
@@andrewreid6867 The AcceleChargers actually skip skills all together, Neon Pipeline was about downforce and with that you can cling to surfaces to an extent which its AcceleCharger provides grip no matter what, Swamp is about staying in the line with best grip and its AcceleCharger keeps you in the track which keeps you in the center regardless of what you do and Ruins is Defensive Driving which involves having an escape route and what not which its AcceleCharger let's you phase through walls and can just get to the escape route without effort so Cliffside is about Drifting specifically in hairpin turns and it's a driving skill you need because if you dont master this, you'll just lose control when drifting and shoot off the edge of cliffs but let's take another Realm that is like it which is Cybergrid, that Realm is about snapping in sharp turns without getting hit which what does its AcceleCharger do? Let's you do that skill without even trying and more instantaneous & can do all types of sharp turns.
@@artistanthony1007 Neon Pipeline was about drafting, a technique used to lower air resistance and increase speed, not downforce. Wall Crawl isn't reducing your resistance to the air or road.
While the Swamp realm was about finding the line with the best grip, it's never been mentioned anywhere that the sprout roads were any better to drive on than the actual grooved track surface in the Swamp Realm. Theoretically, a path made out of plants wouldn't have similar or better traction. Even if it was to shortcut the final test of the Swamp realm, it wouldn't make a car fast enough to escape the vines.
As for the Cliffside, Ruins and Cybergrid realms? Nobody ever said what the skills were. We're filling the gaps with what we have seen, read and heard. I agree that the Ruins realm is most likely clean driving, and it's Accelecharger can make use of itself very well there. But to say that the Cliffside realm is must be about hairpin drifting is a bit much. The opening design for the realm itself inspires all drivers to skip sections of the track, and in the debate of Grip vs Drift you can make an argument for a skill involving not wasting the rubber on your tyres by skidding.
And yeah, while the Cybergrid realm mentions 90 degree turns, and the Accelecharger is supposed to snap them, the points above make it clear that Accelechargers don't match the skills of their realm. For all we know, 90 degree turns can simply be a trait of the track design while the real skill involved good gear changes or something acceleration-related.
Andrew Reid part of the Metro Realm is probably also calculating timing. Is it worth it to get off the freeway? Yes. Okay, but how far off the freeway?
Additionally, I do think it is quote possible that the Ruins Realm features gravel pathways on the forest floor.
Just a little fun fact, in the Brazilian dub gelorun says to the acceleron " i completed the realms , now u have to take me with you " instead of "now you have to Race me"

The Accelechargers seem to be both a reward and a test. Nothing says you can't use the Accelecharges outside the Realms, the two teams practiced with them outside the realms. It does seem like they were meant to be a test of character. And the Ultimate Race was the final test on whether you would rely on them or the lessons you learnt to get them.

@@chinnymisc i think the Accelerons idea wasn´t the "no accelechargers race", instead they wanted a race between more racers than two, maybe with the accelechargers being a "you won in this place before, take this realm as a rest in the ultimate race" there was only one Wheel of power, so i think they expected maybe something like an organized race, maybe 8, 10, or more racers in all the realms, and in the ultimate race, in that hypotetic case everyone would be in an "even" field.
Or maybe they saw that Vert was a better driver and sayd "yeh, you completed all the realms first, but he didn´t use the cheats, so he is better"
Or maybe they knew how Gelorum was and they never wanted her in the first place.
The Wheel of Power can take you into any location remember? However because of the hologram not actually being the real thing, entering Realms when you please consume alot of electricity and only allows a limited number.

What I think would’ve been a cool function is each accelcharger could reopen its respective realm. This is more of a fan idea but it would’ve been cool to see the charger put into a slot and the portal opens up the swap or cave realm so drivers could practice on the tracks without the realm danger like bats or swamp beast

It also says something about Vert’s skills as a driver that he managed to keep up right behind Gelorum throughout the entirety of the ultimate race

It's more than just the Swamp Accelecharger that don't fully line up with the realm's intended skill or hazards.
Cliffside - There's an argument to be made that the skill for this realm wasn't drifting, but instead taking calculated shortcuts with care. Not just because of Shirako's and Vert's attempts to cut the track, but the ingenious way the tracks have been designed to encourage/discourage drivers from doing certain things.. In this case, all drivers start the realm by getting two massive glances at the entire track before they even hit their first corner. Remember, nobody ever stated was the skill for this realm was. Same deal applies to the Ice and Ruins realms, so we've just been piecing together what we know from track design and actions with no confirmation.
Pipeline - The Wall Crawl Accelecharger would be very useful if you needed the downforce to stick to a wall or ceiling, or climbing up a hill without gravity issues. If the skill for this realm was understanding a car's weight and momentum, or something about track camber, it would be useful here. But the skill is about drafting, apparently. Even looking back on the track design for the end of the Pipeline realm, there's no way for a car to (using the walls) carry the speed to power through those air ducts.
Junk - The Frictionless Accelecharger is good for dropping wind and road resistance to zero, to ramp over obstacles and hover over anything that might break. That is in no way helpful in hitting apexes or evading wrecking balls, electromagnets or a giant mechanoid destroyer.
Cosmic - The Light Speed Accelecharger is self-explanatory, but the skill was involving smooth actions in maintain traction while meteors gave you incentive to start dodging like crazy.
Monument - the 2-D Accelecharger is just as explanatory, but from what we know about the realm through the card game, the skill was most likely following navigations and signals to avoid traps and hazards. It certainly wouldn't help with the shocking hazard we see right on the card. Maybe if there was closing walls like in a trash compactor it'd make sense? I doubt that.
Just going off the card game some more, there's at least 2 more Accelechargers that don't match up because the possible skills are already met in other realms;
The Sound Buffer Accelecharger from the Reactor realm negates all sound, which could only be useful if the skill involved distractions. But that's the Storm realm's gimmick.
The Total Traction Accelecharger from the Blizzard realm seems like it does the same job as Slip Grip from the Ice realm, but both realms can't share the skill of driving in Slippery conditions.
There's a possible mention for Anti Gravitation from the Solar realm as well, but there's nothing saying that the skill here wasn't gravity related (maybe this one was about camber, but I'm really leaning towards something about avoiding glare from incoming lights).
It is about drifting as no other Realm is about drifting, Vert just figured out how to take the fastest way down and skip because he had no other option, Gelorum was too far ahead. These Realms are named after racing environments, the Card Text officially states it's perfect for drivers who like Hairpin Turns.
Also I wrote down a list of skills and spent time understanding, I figured out Solar is keeping your entire vehicle in good condition as it's an environmental thing, Lava only does the Tires which the Solar AcceleCharger is literally skipping the hot Track and Flares, I mean its Card Text specifically states that you must smear on the SPF1M which means you're trying not to touch the 1M degree Track, that's the closest confirmation we're ever gonna get.
@@artistanthony1007 "No other realm is about drifting", so far*. None of us actually know the skills of the realms not shown in the series, and the cards do not necessarily reflect the skills involved.
As an exercise, try to imagine what the Metro realm's skill was supposed to be, by only considering the card and nothing else. Smooth braking and weight balance definitely isn't coming to mind.
As for the card text, there's some distinguishing to be made between what's actually going on in the realm and what's filler text to "sell" you the idea of wanting to drive there. It is not a "must" to smear on sunscreen. The Swamp realm track may not actually be alive and growing. People who like hairpin turns will like the Cliffside realm, but might not actually prosper.
And back to the Solar realm; Interesting theory, except that the "understanding how the track affects tyres" thing from the Lava realm shouldn't be amplified to the entire car and driver. It's more or less the same thing, just with more dire consequences. Asides from the various mod cards regarding this and the solar flare hazard card, I know that dealing with glare and blindness is a driving skill applied by everybody on the road. The trick is to look as far away from whatever's glaring while still focusing on the road. If there's one thing to believe about the card text, it's probably that there's no room to slow down, meaning you can't pull over and wait for the glares to die down (like drivers are expected to during sunrise/sunset). While it's not mentioned, perhaps an eclipse might also play a role in that realm as a blinding hazard.
The most important thing to remember though, despite you claiming to have written down the skills for each realm.. We cannot look to the cards for guidance on what each realm might be about. It may be have some indicators as to what's on the track, but that's it.

All realms test at least 2 skills from the driver.
- The Storm realm tests reflexes and attention
- The Swamp realm tests road traction, but also decision making
(Porkchop going closer to the swamp and further to the water, and benji's car being on the water indicating there could be something even scarier than the swamp beast)
(Gig saying last time they led to nowhere)
- The Water realm test hydroplaning, but it also tests your courage
(with porkchop breaking and entering the water)
(with Taro accelerating almost through the mouth of the big fish, but crossing safely)
- The Metro realm tests soft breaking, localization, and speeding through traffic
(with Kurt dealing with the trucks)
- The Pipeline realm tests Drafting, but it also tests pathfinding and mantaining speed
- The Junk realm tests cutting the apex, but it also tests driver's abilities to keep an eye in their surroundings
(with Vert being caught by the magnet)
(with Anthracite being knocked out by the junk monster after throwing the magnetic mines)
- The Cosmic realm not only tests the driver's abilities at staying at high speed or low gravity, it also tests their capacity to react to changes in the road they're driving
(with the meteors hitting the road and drones flying even if they weren't directly hit, or Porkchop flying after monkey distracted him)

Oh and you dont want to Hydroplane as that's what caused Vert to lose control and fail to win, the AcceleCharger just makes driving over water easier and able to drive on all types of liquid surfaces so with Hydro Glide, you can drive on the ocean.

It’s like the Accelerchagers are a key and cheat sheet to the accelerons home world and they want you to make their on your own power not theirs. If that makes sense to anyone.
but their have been times they are used in more emergency situations like when shirako was thrown off the track in the water realm and used the swamp accelecharger to save himself to get back on the track, or when karma used the cavern accelecharger to get the sweepers attention and lastly my favorite when nolo and karma are about to drive off a dead end in the pipeline realm they used it to get to the next pipeline to continue the race. they can be used in more handy ways in ways that aren't cheating. their like equipment used to help you out in a pinch. though some are more pointless then others sadly like the only useful accelechargers from what i can see for multi-usage are the cavern, swamp, metro, warp, junk, monument, cosmic and maybe cliffside. (i don't remember the card realms sadly) but basicly some are better then others as many of the other realm accelechargers are really only one trick ponies like what other realm would have you driving in lightning, or having to drive close to lava outside their respected realms?
my point is that if you use accelechargers, it shows your lack of skill tbh (most of the time the drivers get a second chance by using them)
@@chinnymisc i know that but other times they where used in situations where the skill of the realm was not needed like shirako was thrown of the map by the drone ramp launcher, or vert using the swarm charger in the junk realm to get back on the track as the skill for that realm was net even needed until later in the realm when they reached the wrecking balls. i under what you saying and fully agree with you but their are some times when the accelechargers where needed and didn't break the rules. just though you should take that in concideration

The purpose of the accelechargers are as a gift to further point out the skill you just learned. A reward always boosts learning, esp. when it's a cool power that shows what you learned. It also tests against the ultimate race: not using them and instead using your own skills, as you realize you don't need them. They are simply "gifts of cool power".
What if they also helps to improve the Wheel of Power's algorithms? Optimizing for realm difficulty and the lack of driver's skill.
The Accelechargers are only their to help a driver if they think their in some kind trouble, not winning a race.
I think the purpose of the Accelechargers is two-fold. Both being pretty obvious to most:
1. They act as keys to unlock The Ultimate Race: The final exam of the Accelerons to prove that you can claim the title of Acceleracer.
2. They're a temptation, a proverbial carrot dangling over your head that goads you into using the Accelechargers to cheese your way through TUR.
We also know that the accelechargers can fry your car if you leave them in too long, so you can’t just spam them
well it's basically saying this: "it is better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it".
For sure a plot hole, because if only one driver went through the realms while using the accelechargers and reached the sphere, how can we assume they wouldn’t become an acceleron. At the very least, the driver must have all the accelechargers to trigger the ultimate race, that seems like the real purpose of them.
2:36 when I was watching the ultimate race and the cliff side realm showed I said the driving skill for it was D R I F T I N G especially when your going for the apex even though in the junk realm the driving skill for that was hitting the apex in the corners
It's just drifting, the Realms are built for every Racing Skill, Drifting and Hitting the Apex are different things in racing.
Edit:And Driving Skills, both are focused on in the Racing Realms.
Also you're gonna be shocked at this but I realized every Racing Realm are made in a specific order, the first Realm with a turning-based skill is Cliffside which requires you to be able to drift then Ice requires you to handle slippery roads then Neon Pipeline requiree that but able to stabilize yourself and have downforce and handle constant swerving by obstacles then Junk requires you to encounter more obstacles and hit the apex of the turn, knowing how to swerve at the right moment.
The Accelechargers are a trap. In other to win one, you must master the skill for that realm and win 1st place. It's essentially a gold medal proving you won. And it's ok to use them in other realms to help you win since something like the cavern Accelecharger wouldn't help you win the Metro Realm, etc. Ultimately you need all the Accelechargers (or at least enough) to unlock the Ultimate Race.
I the UR comes with the caveat that if you have enough Accelechargers to open it, then you should have to skill to complete it since you won does Accelechargers. Although the Accelerons might not have account for multiple factions fighting over the Accelechargers and one of them (the drones in this case) stealing them all.
That makes sense too
after re-watching this, it similar to the temptation of taking the fake wheel of power, which is in the middle of Highway 35 not the end, maybe that's why Kadeem became a drone, due to his temptation to win, getting the best of him since taking the fake one.
I'm glad Vert Wheeler redeemed himself for becoming an Acceleracer (Thanks to Karma and Lani).
Accelerons really just said lul skill issue to Gelorum
Yes. Accelechargers were just help the driver, not for taking shortcuts to used on its corresponding realms. Keep in mind that Overusing the accelechargers would also damage the cars as its energy put too much stress. This was shown where Nolo's High Voltage became stressed before falling. Thankfully, he and his accelechargers are survived. Outside its original usage for temporary aid, on Metro Realm, Karma uses Tork's Cavern Realm Accelechargers to trigger the drones for another accelechargers.
In the end, we know that GIG (override Tezla's reprogramming) taking the Accelechargers, replace them with its fake, powerless copy. This was proved when Tork uses Swamp Accelechargers to save Porkchop, it doesn't work. It just shown electrical surge on Accelechargers compartement, still not damage the car.
Pretty sure if Vert failed to follow Tezla's Instruction to stop Gelorum and accidentally let Gelorum enter the Sphere, Gelorum was still rejected by Acceleron, because she uses accelechargers on the whole ultimate race.

The swamp realm accelecharger exists for plot development, if the accelecharger gave you full grip or monster repellent or the vine road with the monster repellent it would make more sense for its respective realm
Just checked the accelerators wiki the blizzard realm accelecharger gives full traction, so monster repellent would have been a more usable feature (especially if it was combined with the vine ) and it could have been written into the show this way
I think that it might have been that the Accelechargers were intentionally meant to be used as a way to complete the Ultimate race to reach the Accelerons but once one saw that you could do the Race without the Accelechargers he declared Vert the Winner because he understood what it meant to be a driver rather than relying on the power of the Accelechargers.
Also it could be that Accelechargers were meant to be used by multiple people since the wheel of power is meant to test any race that uses it. So the Accelechargers might have been meant to be used by individual racers who could then make them their own and use them to race in the following realms and not the one they are won in. The Ultimate race was meant to find the ultimate Drivers which I think if every racer only ever had 1 or 2 they'd be accepted but not someone hoaring the Accelechargers like Gelorum did.

Mmmmm idk. RD-L1 was spamming 3 different AcceleChargers in the storm realm and he only won because of that. And we don’t know what a good majority of the realms look like so maybe they would have uses in those realms
I would like to argue with you. In the junk realm if you remember Vert was about to be crushed by the compactor. He uses the Swamp Accelacharger to escape. True he could have used the jump jets like in the Desert leg of the world race but would it have not cost him time instead of using the Accelacharger. Riddle me that
He did use the jump jets btw - Also o said "using the accelerchargers shows yoir lack of skill in that specific realms or other realms" very was probably lacking awareness as a skill or a other driving related skill to get away from the magnetic tgong
You can actually use them in the Realms and anywhere really, just not to win especially in the final test as the Accelerons let Vert take the Movie ones and the three Card Game ones and so dont mind if you use them outside of the test, just not during that test because it's to test your skills, see if you can really go without using any AcceleChargers.
One thing that i never saw anyone talk about was the ultimate race vert bost.
I think on the Swamp realm vert SHOULD be without boost. The point is, i think the ultimate race resets the pilot boost, every realm it's a car reset. And this is why vert boosted twice in the cosmic realm. He knew that he would have boost to the circle realm at the end.
to me, this is one of the possible explanations.
The reason i think it's like this? if a pilot gets a car almost broken, he SHOULD be able to compete on the other realms. this is what i think about the vert boost. Since he entered the ultimate race with full boost, he had infinite boost through realms, but not on the same realm.

It took me a while, but i think i got the a more concrete answer of what are the accelechargers, they are proof medal that you have the skill to defeat that realm and that skill can be used to give you an advantage on future races.
