Sam, I can’t believe that his tank has developed that quickly in a short period of time. You’re right about the potential of his system at the 6mo & one year mark. Such a nice system. Thanks for the tour.
I have had multiple fowlr tanks since I was a kid and I am now just starting to get into the reefing aspect of saltwater tanks. Love the videos Sam! Have been learning a lot!
Really loved this video, great guy, great reef and I love the scape, fantastic also great light frame, what a great idea, a lot of greats in my comment but that’s just what came out so I won’t change a thing, see you next time, you do a great thing for reefers, keep it up 😀, Colin🏴
Sam- Great video. I’ve noticed a number of Aussie reefers keep Stripeys. Are they effective for Aptasia control? Are they reef safe with corals? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one here in the States.
How would you accommodate a kalkstirrer in this set up unless it is placed in water in the sump? Is there a gap in the dividing wall between the two sides under the tank? Thanks
many folk I know with these compartmentalised sumps wish it was an open sump eventually.. i almost went that way til realised the impracticality wehn it comes to change.
Love this channel… I just subbed!! CAN some pros in here please help me 🙏. I have a 38 gallon bow with 2 clown fish and 34lbs of cycled Marco rock (Fowlr Tank). And today I purchased a yellow watchman goby that’s small and captive bread and 10 more pounds of Marco dry rock. I purchased it because next week I am setting up a 75 gallon tank (Fowlr) and will be transferring my 2 clowns and watchman goby, rocks and sand into new tank. Can I add this Marco dry rock into my current tank right away, or should I not add it to my 75 gallon one I’m upgrading to next week??? I will also be using my water from my 38 gallon to put in new tank with new mixed added water. And I don’t use a sump, nore will I on new tank. THANK you so much for any help. Stay safe and saying hello from Toronto
@@ParkersReef thanks a ton!! And sorry for asking as I’ve heard just recently that I should maybe wash/rinse my 2.5 month old Caribsea live sand before adding it to new tank. I thought maybe just transfer it because of the beneficial bacteria in it for the new tank. May I ask what you suggest? I really thank you for the quick response.
Nice video Sam. Nice to see a slightly smaller tank running well. Quick question, was Jason using the word detrimental wrong, I thought I heard him saying it when he was describing things that had helped. I may be wrong and you crazy guys down under might have your own word ;-) . Once again, great vid , keep em coming. I also wondered, on your setup had you considered plumbing your case frag system into the dream reef, you’d cut down on the amount of equipment?
hehehe yeah I think he may have. The camera does make folk a bit more nervous than usual :P My frag tank is in another room of the house which makes it tough, but I have plumbed the auto water change together so that it gets water from the main tank (basically to keep nutrients up)
Great setup! Just wondering if Jason is keen on moving his lone male Banggai? I have a female and have been looking for a mature male for her for a while now.
I think he did say it was a basic eBay light, but that was all I got. You know what cheap stuff off eBay is like though, you can get two completely different products even when ordering from the same link 😅
This system is cracking for being so new CADE make such great systems - people say they are expensive but when you add up everything you get - the ATO - the power panel - the media sections I think its probably the best value for money out there. Like the 1200 is $500more than the equiv RSR and all those extra features I think are definitely worth it before you think of the difference in quality especially the stand - Just don't like the black ;)

Glad you have found them useful Patrick, thanks for watching!
fowlr is still reefing kinda
9 months of planning in the 9 week old tank....stellar start on the upgrade 👌
Very true, take your time and get it right first time!
Captured the tank well Sam. Awesome tank Jason 👍
Thanks so much Emily!
Looks a real beauty !! Well done all round !!
Thanks!
Love how he has his set up nice and clean and beautiful scape, keeping it simple
It’s a lovely setup!
9 weeks wow! Good set up, can't wait to see it in a few months to see how much it grows, great job! Thanks for the video Sam!
Thanks Antonio!
Wow blast from the past. Used to know Jason very well. Great guy and a great reef also.
He’s a top bloke! Thanks for watching :)
can't wait to see this grow out love cade tank

Beautiful tank.
Agreed!
“Ref You Geum” 😂 never heard it that way before hahah
welcome to australia :P
Well that's fantastic to know that you can fit a roller in the back, wonder if you can fit one in a CADE 900
Check the sump measurements on the Cade page 👍🏻
Sam- Great video. I’ve noticed a number of Aussie reefers keep Stripeys. Are they effective for Aptasia control? Are they reef safe with corals? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one here in the States.
Great with aptasia, pretty bad with coral….
So that's the ClariSea Gen3 SK-3000 that fits in the filter sock area so nicely?
Sure is
Hello does the 3000 just go into one of the filter sock holes?
Actually I see it doesn’t go all the way into hole but how did you reverse the plumbing?
How would you accommodate a kalkstirrer in this set up unless it is placed in water in the sump? Is there a gap in the dividing wall between the two sides under the tank? Thanks
yeah you could sit it in the right hand side electrical cabinet that is designed for a chiller. Or you could sit it in the sump :)

You can add it to your current tank, that will help establish it before you transfer to the new system 👍🏻

@@Scott-cy6zv yeah I wouldn’t wash it, not like the system it is coming out of is 5 years old or anything…
Did you hear him stutter when the stripey took a swipe at his coral 🤣
Hahaha good old stripey 😅

Lol yes I did , my partner picked me up on that 😂. Don’t know why thought it meant something else , whoops 😅
Lovely tank! Thanks for sharing it. Hopefully my comments weren’t detrimental 😉
Great setup! Just wondering if Jason is keen on moving his lone male Banggai? I have a female and have been looking for a mature male for her for a while now.
Hopefully Jason sees the comment, I'll give him a little nudge ;)
For sure mate , contact me on face book and maybe we can work something out.
Does anyone know what light he’s using to grow chaeto in his sump? He mentioned a $15 light off eBay, but I can’t find anything..
I'll find out for you. From memory it was just a warm white floodlight though?
@@ParkersReef hmm not sure, maybe ask him. I couldn't find anything similar on eBay...
@@ParkersReef I'm using a Bunnings PAR38 LED but I don't think it's working very well.

as do I! :P
@@ParkersReef u a good boy SamSam! 🥰 thanks for u videos 🐶
only looks bout 500 litres, why is called 1200?nice to see some fish variety, everyone's tanks are looking the same nowadays :)
Not everything is in the USA.
It’s 1200mm long not 1200 litres or 1200 gallons.
Yeah it’s 1200mm long that’s how Cade name their systems :)
@@ParkersReef ahh ok,now makes sense.thanks
@@skelly101010 Im not in the states personally, a bit of a state quite often.. ;) but yeah cool ;) thnx
Can I get a cade tank in Europe too ?
I believe they are in the UK now?
yes I believe there is a distributor in the UK?
seems like everyone has black Cade stand , is it something i don't know?
Black was the only colour available for quite a long time
black stand actually looks good@@ParkersReef
