    I don't know much about these breaks they surf other than they're rock slab bottoms. But if they're easily broken like this, why aren't there more backs broken at Teahupoo? That's a scary, gnarly looking shallow reef bottom. I have to think they get slammed when they wipe out surfing Teahupoo im much the same way. Anyone know?

      there are a lot of broken backs plus lacerations at Teahupoo. Many vests and suits have back support built in.
