I built this and at first it is trash but then I improved it and it works perfectly fine! Thanks man for the tutorial. I don't have enough pieces but I use other similar ones to make it cool. I also added some attachments too. Thanks for your tutorial once again.
Works very flawlessly i didnt have some pieces and since i have 3 years of playing with legos i was able to make my own mods to it so i could have it work for my size, note if you dont have the top piece the small thing just use the bigger version of that because thats what i did. it is a little big then but still better than nothing. Very good tho.
Very cool.. I will advise that rubber band selection is vital to the accurate function of this item.. My bands were a bit too big, so I had to get creative in how I attached them.. I replaced the front ball-pins with standard grey pins, routed the bands around these and hooked them over a single ball-pin on the underside just forward of the trigger guard (in the grey T-shaped piece to the right-hand side). I also found that by twisting the bands a few times they stay together, and this reduces the chance of them flexing into the barrel and obstructing the projectile.. I moved the hook point for the slide return rubber (first band installed in the video), to the outside of the slide, I put a tan 3/4 pin in the hole in the slide plate directly above the forward trigger cog, this gets the band out of the way (off the yellow half bush) of the action of the firing pin. I also (after breaking the double looped bands of the firing pin) reduced the firing pin to one band, looping it around a single stud tube piece - replaced from the grey bush in the video.. The single band gives better barrel exit speed, and it actually hurts to shoot one's hand in front of the barrel.. it also travels a good 30 feet! This thing could take out an eye now..!
Hi, really like the design of your gun, the trigger mechanism is very good. Unfortunately I had some trouble with making the gun shoot. I did everything the instruction said and the gun jammed. Turned out that I had put the firing bands in the wrong position. I really like the mag release though sometimes the mag just pops out when loaded. Speaking of the magazine, I like the way that you load the it because you don’t have to push Down the bullets, you can just drop them in. I also had to replace the shooter piece with a 1x1 technic beam because the 1x1 axel piece got stuck on the bullet. I love the way the tutorial is set out, it seems really clear on where to put the pieces. I found it slightly harder to fit the rubber bands as is do not have a small stick.
Just a helpful reminder: 1. When the rubber bands are added knowing their size is very confusing and can lead to problems. 2. I noticed the slide seemed to curve up when rubber bands are added, to fix i just used a 4L Axel with stopper at end and put the through the center of the modified 1x3 beam then added a 2L bean with one hole being an axel and other being a circle for pin. Then that put a restraint on the slide to keep it from bulging. 3. I would keep in mind that it seemed very fast paced in the video when showing the parts needed for a step, I get the video shouldn’t be long but at least give us time to pause the video and find the pieces that we need. On a good note this video uses fairly common pieces except for maybe the panels. P.s. Most pieces and sub assemvelies can be made using other pieces with the same amount or better strength. Just remember this is your gun use your imagination with what parts you have! 👋👋😊
