I relate to Bawa on so many levels!! A curly haired self deprecating guy with plethora of trivial details which he is proud of but nobody cares about. The one who is constantly overexplaining, underselling himself and has no ability to take compliments.
I follow Rahul on linkedin and whenever I am at work i randomly go on Linkedin between all the office drama for work or whatever and then just one post of 1 -2 linners of Rahul are hilarious and puts me in great mood
I am starting my first job tomorrow and here is a podcast perfectly suiting the occasion (just as it has always synced with my life) Thankyouu TISS 💟💟💟
So the thing about corporate jargon is, no matter how much you hate it, you use it because you know others will understand it. There are people who truly don't understand things without the jargon.
Love you all ❤ it's been 3 years since I stumbled upon TISS, now it is as if I am a part of your lives and discussions. Thank you for a friend's group I can always rely on! ❤
What a pleasant surprise!!! Apart from you four, Kenny, Rahul, Sumukhi and Upamanyu are my fav. Very happy to watch Kenny and Rahul back to back. Also, missed Neville in the Kenny episode. Thank you guys... TISS FOREVER 😍 Aadar, get well soon.
Every time they said, "Maybe now it's changing, maybe now things are getting better" I was like nope, it's really not. Maybe there is some effort but largely it's the same, at least in my experience so far. Random requests at 9pm, working 11-12 hours a day, peanuts for appraisal, it's the same overworking, underpaying culture for agencies and MNCs.
Bhaari relatable one, guys! Calling Rahul for a corporate related topic was a great idea. Would have loved it more if Bawa had shared some crazy fun weird absurd insights.
The jargon I despise is- “Let me give you a dump of so and so” 😂 which means let me give you a background of a project/topic A manager I worked with once said, “we’re giving you the full monty” for we’re giving you more information than you needed lol
I agree with Bawa. I would like the day off instead because the off site. It's probably just my company or project which makes sure its inconvenient for you.
Rahul is one of the funniest comics out there and I am saying this not because of his comedy but coz of his Instagram stories and spontaneous reacts vids
Bhai log US main abhi bhi life is like in Mumbai. Travel time in to work for people who don't live near the office is around an hour either by car or public transportation. Day starts at 7am and usually never ends. The grind continues.
As a corporate employee, I can see that bawa is multitasking. Like he received escalation email and he is completely disconnected from ongoing conf call, reading email and typing response 😂59:08
It is probably a co incidence, i heard double clicking, boiling the water, bio break today only while hearing this podcast along with my corporate calls. I am fed up of these acronyms and jargons.
Complete sympathy with Aadar! I also scratched my cornea the day before my 12th standard physics exam and missed the exam. Fyi it hurts like the abolute worst
So I am UX UI designer and just before the launch of a product, my team lead told me to have dogfooding sessions of the product. I had heard a few jargons till that time but this was the most bizzare one 😂 I had to first google what it means and I realised she was just asking me to test it and give my feedback to the team!
Every activity has its own jargons, cycling, running, photography similarly corporate also has jargons but because almost everyone is part of corporate work culture it's made fun of more.
Dude, how do you remember all these references. We remember it as well, but your brain have like stored all these references and bring it so quickly as well. Hats off man.
I find it funny that Random Chikibum used to do a Zoom show for corporate jargons. It was like a scripted show with gags related to corporates. And TISS unke saamne ye jargons sub kar rahe hain
Not to boil the ocean or anything, and dont want to throw any curveballs or quick flags, but the episode was to quote Marisa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny "dead on balls accurate" and showed real synergy among the team. Kudos on a job well done, gentle reminder to kindly revert and circle back by eod. Ok typed to much - time for a bio break !
I tried looking for the post of 2017 but I went down a rabbit hole of reading Subu activities and made it only too June 2023. Damn he comments a lot on LinkedIn.
Bhai outside India the work pressure is tremendous, salary jis currency mein aati hain, karcha bhi ussi currency mein hota hain, maar ke rakh ye hain yaha bhi...

I hope this isn't for Varun Grover shows 😛
Arey. This is the first time I'm seeing Varun actually putting links down like he always "says" he will. Or maybe it's not even him 😶
LinkedIn sponsored episode

I am so amazed to see how Varun’s plant leaf has aligned with Neville like it’s a continuation 😻
Yes I came to the comment section just for this 😂😂😂
How zoned out were you to observe this?
13:51 the plants are perfectly aligned.
Was about to comment the same. Looks like bawa and varun are sitting beside each other

I love him
Nobody cares because he speaks in a very condescending manner. He seems like a know-it-all.

Listening to this over dinner after a hard day's work. I'm in tears.

All the best! 🎉

58:55 kya bromance moment ❤
Varun's analogy of Bawa's Mooth k aata hu Corporate lingo was hilarious 😂
Love the way the plants are placed, intentional or not 🙃
Yes first thing I noticed. 😮
Let's manifest the next guest
...I vote for Sumukhi! (a ghost stories episode maybe?!)
Or go fully filmy with obscure bollywood references and music. Love when Sumukhi and Varun combine for that :)
When you watch old episodes and realise how much Kautuk has grown up
I like this new format of permutations and combinations. It’s great fun ad there has to be a customary joke on the absent one(s).
10:57 Bawa calling him Subu 😊😊
wow guest are back....
good good old days......

Wowww excited for this new format… n Rahul is like a cherry on top..

Rahul's train story 💜

guys yeh new format ke old format mei bohot maza aa raha hai😌
Kautuks background getting better every episode!
Kautuk is day by day transforming into a young Kamra
Every time they said, "Maybe now it's changing, maybe now things are getting better" I was like nope, it's really not. Maybe there is some effort but largely it's the same, at least in my experience so far. Random requests at 9pm, working 11-12 hours a day, peanuts for appraisal, it's the same overworking, underpaying culture for agencies and MNCs.
Exactly my office still says if you pack at 7pm is it half day so crazy only
Thank you TISS! These episodes always manage to cheer me up! I learn, I laugh, I relate. And it gives me hope and ideas! 😊
Bhaari relatable one, guys! Calling Rahul for a corporate related topic was a great idea. Would have loved it more if Bawa had shared some crazy fun weird absurd insights.
Our OG Kautuk ❤
Watched this with my mom and we couldn't stop laughing. Thank you guys
The jargon I despise is- “Let me give you a dump of so and so” 😂 which means let me give you a background of a project/topic
A manager I worked with once said, “we’re giving you the full monty” for we’re giving you more information than you needed lol
Ken , Rahul do crowdwork very tastefully.
An apt topic for our guest today. Varun has pulled off another grand Seguéjit Ray 😂
I agree with Bawa. I would like the day off instead because the off site. It's probably just my company or project which makes sure its inconvenient for you.
I am in academia and we often use those corporate terms on a daily basis- circle back, blank slate, etc.
This was an amazing show!! Jargons and quotes just fabulous!
Waiting for “TOH batao guys, Bachpan mein tumhare favourite corporates kaun hain and why is it not Madhur Bhandarkar’s movie?”
Subbu is one the best, cutest and witty comedian..love watching him always ❤😊
Rahul is one of the funniest comics out there and I am saying this not because of his comedy but coz of his Instagram stories and spontaneous reacts vids
Varun is going to be absolutely insufferable with the business speak and I’m here for it 😂
You need to add 'Burning the Midnight Oil'. It is by far the most loosely used insensitive phrase ever!
why did the conversation get all crazy as soon as bawa left , felt like when the parenta leave and cousins go all crazy type feels
Guest pe guest- naya format ❤
No. It is guest pe guest, parag guest.
Synonyms:
EoD - CoB (Close of Business)
Goal - CoT (Critical Operating Target)
Let's touch base on this - Let's circle back on this

Loving the consistency ❤ nazar naa lage 🧿
What company was rahul talking about in the beginning?
You guys are lucky to do what you love rather than being stuck in a rut. TISS being consistent ❤❤❤❤
As a corporate employee, I can see that bawa is multitasking. Like he received escalation email and he is completely disconnected from ongoing conf call, reading email and typing response 😂59:08
Sorry to hear about Aadar’s condition. Hope he gets better soon.
Watching full ads for varun ❤
TLA are used more in emails. Not in verbal communication.
e.g, PFA, PFB, EOD
Have you noticed? Varun’s plant is literally coming out from Bawa’s wall 😂🤯
1:10:16 Agreed........Monday is the worst day........so many times you feel "Aaj leave lelu kya"
So I am UX UI designer and just before the launch of a product, my team lead told me to have dogfooding sessions of the product. Listening to the podcast while at my corporate job complaining about the work culture 😂😂

Rahul has the same bottle as me and I'm just so happy about this random thing😭😭😭
Obviously Neville was happy because there are only 4 people in frame 😆😆
Oh man I can’t keep up with this consistency!!! ❤
I heard the bio break one for the first time today itself. Someone from the clients' end just blurted it out on the zoom call 😂
Omg i heard it today for the first time too. Did it get released today😂
Yayy!!! The GOAT is back, #bawacutie❤
