This song and its lyrics are inspirational to live by. Everyone in life faces problems - sometimes those problems makes us feel hopeless - like no matter how hard you try in life things never go right. You start to doubt whether you or your efforts matter anymore but then the reality is - there are so many things in our life that are out of control. There is only so much you can do, you just have to accept reality for what it is and go with the flow with life and 'Don't Be So Hard On Yourself'. Thank you Jess Glynn for this song, it has helped me get through life and it's a song I'll never forget.

5 years ago, I struggled with major anxiety & depression. That was the time I quit my toxic job, finished a toxic relationship - and I blamed myself for all this mess. One day I switched the channel to MTV & saw this music video from Jess. I cried a bucket full of tears because she was like speaking to me through this song. The song's message helped me learn to forgive and let go. Now back to the present: I am up on my feet! Though things may still be difficult, I believe in myself & I take things one at a time.
I hope more songs like this will be written!!! Jess is such an awesome artist! 💚💚💚

This song has such an important message about self-compassion and self-forgiveness that I really need at the moment, and I'm sure so many others need too. I'm someone who's extremely hard on myself to the point of OCD, so this song really speaks to my struggles. Love you Jess!

This song has a powerful message, I am trying each day to not be so hard on me, as everyone makes mistake. I work hard to leave it behind me and to forgive those who betrayed me. They did me a favour, forced me to move onto better things, sometimes things happen for a reason. But this process cannot be rushed and I have to be patient, when all I wanna do is be over it.

Honestly, I've juust listened to this song on loop for like an hour. I suffere from really REALLY bad/crippling anxiety and this song is a reminder that we all have struggles, and we shouldn't hate ourselves or get down on ourselves when things dont go our way. There will always be struggles in our lives that make us feel like rubbish, but there is ALWAYS someone you can talk to. Your not on your own, you are worth good things in life and you will always be loved by someone. Remember that people. Its not always easy to get yourself out of a dark place, but its never too late and its NEVER impossible. Love this song!!!! 🎉

I realized my like for this song disappeared .....HOW?! This song healed me.... i had a very difficult time in my early years of university. Sister had cancer...i got sick..and a lot of other stuff..... i played this on repeat ...along with seeing a therapist for my pain. I just want to say thank you to this girl. I don't understand why Jess Glynne is taking so long to take flight. She's got a meagre 278K subscribers and I know, I know, she is damn successful, but when I compare her to some of today's artists she totally blasts them away, and still is not as popular, it just doesn't make sense to me. This song is so catchy! My best online friend is suffering from depression and 3 different types of anxiety, and I have anxiety myself. So this is a great "pick-me-up" and I think the lyrics describe depression very accurately, especially certain versus. Found this song on RUclips Music and now I can't stop listening to this! I really like this song! I love the fact that it's got a very uplifting beat. Makes me want to dance!
