The battery in the flip six is horrible just letting everybody know nobody’s gonna listen to it for 50%. They’re gonna listen to it louder than that and it dies fast.
I just got the charge 5.. the awkward size coming from my flip 5, makes me wanna return it, the portability of the flip series is crazy considering the sound quality it provides..
Update I bought it two days ago and it’s been great, I didn’t expect it to be as loud as it gets or sound as good. Great job JBL and great work GYMCADDY for making another great review

that's very weird, usually the flip series has extremely durable speakers which just don't blow ever, you must have gotten unlocky. you could ask them for a refund if you haven't already
What I don't like about it is that it sounds very sharp on higher volumes. If I sit a meter away from it my ears literally hurt. But everything else is good.
I love mine but I will say this. You better take a power supply with you if you're using your phone to make the sound. Because I noticed it sucks the battery like a vampire
Charge 5 does not last 20 hrs I work 10 hrs night shift and no dude I got to charge it twice during that time and I bought it 3 days ago from today I'm very disappointed ☹️ huge fan of jbl but now I'm in the market for something else that's better. Possible false advertisement case
The jbl flip 6 is uncomparable to sony xb100. Flip 6 lacks auto off when not used, less battery duration, low end is not max low to 20hz, and no AAC support for dolby sound. JBL is subpar battery. Not for long term
What are you smoking it has auto-off. The Sony XB100 cant even hope to touch the Flip 6 simply because of the size difference. No tweeter = terrible instrument separation.
The Flip 6 has no hook or loop. NOTHING! Stupidest design ever. You can't take it kayaking, jet skiing. Nothing!!! Dumbest design ever did I mention that. Won't ever be buying that one!

Both are great sound. 5% - 40% flip 6 sound is better whereas 45% - 100% charge 5 sound is better. I have tested both in personal.

Possible defective battery? It probably depends on the volume level for how long it will go. the lower the level the longer it lasts.
