I forgot who said it but I think it was lee know or Changbin. In the MV there’s constantly a bird chirping and flying around then when they do the cute lil magic finger part there’s a bird sound. Apparently that part represents when you get knocked out and you see stars or birds then the head spin. It’s almost like you’re being knocked out then turning into a maniac in your head 😭 I love that part so much.

They all work great as a group to create a story with this song. I agree that they convey the "Maniac" concept through their creative dance moves and their looks, especially Hyunjin and Changbin and Han.
My favorite dancer in Stray Kids is Lee Know. He was a dancer for BTS for a long time until he got into Stray Kids. He was also eliminated before the group was finalized and I can't imagine Stray Kids without their dance leader Lee Know

I was so worried and sad for him, especially seeing how much he wants to be dancing with them and how serious I’ve heard his injury can be, but of course Stray Kids just ran with it and made him the main character! 🤣💙
I second that. Most reactions I have seen didn't know why he kept walking off. Others may have known and wrote it off. I'm glad to see this appreciation of this challenge. I heard that they were supposed to take it "easy" with him for a period of time, and its amazing they allowed him to do what he did do, considering how hard that hit. He probably paid for it some but glad to do something. Killed him to not be able to do more, and it is fortunate that they didn't make him sit out altogether. And it is clear from newer stuff that he is doing much better. Happy to have Felix back.

I've seen this video several times and I understood what the song was about but I never caught on to certain moves, like Felix being Dr. Frankenstein an the of members holding Lee Know up being the Tesla components, etc. The typing on their legs as if creating a new prototype, etc. Again, absolutely amazing analysis. New sub. I look forward to hearing your pov on some of their other music.

I'd say other choreos don't relate to the lyrics simply because the lyrics SAY NOT MUCH. Stray Kids write their own with deep meaning so here we have Maniac as an example

I suppose the term Frankenstein was first introduced in relation to skz when TIME released a list of top ten best songs of 2020 and back door was one of them, the writer had named their musical style as an “artful Frankenstein”. I’m not sure if they’ve taken that to another level in a literal sense or it was a coincidence haha
