I wanted to paint something that won't require too much attention so I painted this one using only 2 main pastel colors and I'm very happy with how they turned out 🤗 It was such a calming process and I really enjoyed painting the backgrounds in cute pastel colors as well ~ hoping to do more easy and fast sketches + paintings 🌼

Looks like syballine meynets work. You’ve got really similar styles and I love your colour choices in this piece. Have you tried her syballine’s mossery art kit?
Yes, Sibylline Meynet has inspired me a lot. The way I paint is pretty much influenced by her work. I'd love to try her art kit, but I'm far away and can't buy it 🙁 Glad you enjoyed my painting 🥰❤️

Wonderful! What’s your water and paint proportion for the outline? :)
With the outline I usually mix more water, maybe around 50:50 😊

Where did you get the pastel colors? Did you buy them separately or did you get them in a set?

Meeco i have few doubts-
1)How much water do you add while mixing the paints??
2)Which paper must be used specifically for gouache? I tried using cold press watercolor paper and it was very bumpy and paint did not lay smoothly on it.
3) How to mix paints for shadows , apart from adding black? Is there any other way?
Hello, I am not Meeco but I would like to still help you answer your questions. I do have a little experience with gouache and have found that there isn’t much water necessary to get opaque coverage, it is something that you just need to practice and experiment to find what you prefer. And for paper, you can really use gouache on anything, especially acrylic gouache, but if you don’t like cold pressed paper, I recommend trying hot pressed paper, it’s a lot smoother and has less texture then cold pressed which allows you to get great detail. Also you don’t have to use black or mix black for shadows, any dark color will look great without desaturating the color like black does. Purple and Deep reds work great for skin tones, and dark blues also make great shadow tones. I hope this helps a bit!
