we bullied james a lot for his mistakes, but when you think about it, no person would be sane in his mind after going what he had to go through, surrounded by adults trying to benefit from his popularity constantly while having barely any relationships with guys his age, and the ones he had were mixed with work, kinda mind-fucking, what he did was bad but like, it has some deep rooted trauma meaning

to dive into all of this this many years later is TOTALLY hindsight is 20/20! I just remember when Bye Sister cane out I was GAGGED that quiet lil ole Tati was making a video about someone so much younger and it was DRAMA! She was the multiple uploads a week quiet review girl and I was STUNNED!!!!!! To think she was grown and above drama in the community shocked me to my core when it was otherwise. Really opened my eyes and confirmed the darkness I was already seeing in the community when I was going live on Facebook 6-7 years ago and REALLY solidified that I didn’t want to be in the beauty community if there are so many people who are fake, drama or dark. I know a lot of my viewers were on that wavelength based on messages and comments left on my feed but to not be able to trust your fellow colleagues is SCARY!!! What a lonely suspicious climate to work in 😮
This whole series should be called “behind the scenes “ cuz they all use that phrase to as an alibi of credibility 😭

as someone who has trauma to the point of dissociating, i HATE when influencers use that "the old me" excuse. i do feel very disconnected from my younger self and it doesnt feel like me anymore but i dont use that to justify the toxic things i did. im glad im so disconnected cuz u know thats the point of a coping mechanism, to protect ur mental health but i still take accountability for the things i did. that WAS ME, thats not an excuse
