Sean Payton is the issue. I said it last year the play calling the way he designed his offense is not tailored to the players that are on the team. I was disappointed when the Broncos decided to hire Sean Payton. I felt like we needed a young innovative, head coach instead of a old school Bill Belichick type of coaching style
@@blackthought7250 yep, the league has passed Payton by. Dude has not changed one thing in his scheme for 20 years. We are so cooked for Payton's tenure if he continues to be stubborn and not update his scheme
We have a very young team. And I still think Sean is the best coach we've had since Shanahan. The games have been close. We're really just a few more good drives away from winning. Take a deep breath, we'll get there

He knows his personnel and he's molding things into the best package he can. it's easy to 👉 the finger when things aren't looking good. Sorry for your loss Cody! Great video Sayre. My question is, why do we have an offensive coordinator when the head coach is calling the plays? I'd like to see Lombardi callling the plays. I also think we need to get Sutton and Mimms more involved. Dulcich had a couple crucial drops as well.
Sutton was targeted 12 times in week 1 and the efficiency was awful. I agree on the premise that Court needs to be a focus but the reality is he is not a true number 1 receiver.
Ehh, in week 1 most of the time when he was thrown at, bo missed pretty badly, or he just didn’t see Sutton wide open. Or he threw into triple coverage. His efficiency was on Bo
This was really well explained and analysed. Sayre took his very obvious frustration and dissected our many failings really well. To say that Payton has been even average so far this season would be wrong. He has made quite a few mistakes - let's hope he learns from them.
The idea that it takes too long to get in a play *because* it takes too long to say them is ridiculous. If you're going to have a whole playbook open, you need to use words to distinguish between the plays. Fewer words entails fewer options. Also, it takes only a few seconds to announce a playcall even with a lot of words. The issue is decision making not the length of play calls
The whole play calling situation is something we need to monitor. It's curious 🤔 that our offense looks much better in the hurry up. Bo is able to take a few seconds to scan the defense before taking the snap.
@JamesPalmer said that he talked to a few different Pittsburgh defensive players after the game and they all said that they believe Bo will be a good Quarterback in this league. Take it for what it's worth. I see LOADS of potential in this kid. Remember that last year C.J Stroud wasn't great in his 1st 2 starts but he took off in game 3 and beyond.
Denver should have a main personnel with the best players that plays most the game. This would provide much more time for bo to get the play in and get up to the line with more than 10 seconds on the play clock
I agree that player packages are a problem, I would play alot of different players in the base package. I don't think Sean will admit to being wrong and let someone else call plays, Penner will have to tell him to do it. Bo is playing as well as he can in a tough situation. We have to evaluate what he can accomplish with the situation he's in.
We have a good rookie qb I wanna build around this kid for the next 2 years and getting him some game changing weapons… he can win a SB he has every tool to do so. I believe in Bo and I want Denver to stay behind him.
In most cases we have seen teams that rotate quarterbacks and all it's done is make it difficult for both quarterbacks. This is the same issue when you're rotating players in the same positions who cannot get settled in
Two dropped passes by Dulcich, Bo over threw a wide-open Mims for a touchdown, Bo threw it to the other team in the end zone. I think it’s simply growing pains with a rookie quarterback. Payton is trying to keep it simple yet open it up every once in a while. Bo’s missing his opportunities I think it will get better soon.
This what we want you to understand yes we know about the plays but wha about the decisions making as a head coach why cut the best players from preseason just to sticc with his guys . It’s disrespectful to the fans man this is a game of smarts an decision making our head coach is old an stucc in his ways
You right with it all Sayre how do we have Talent like Courtland, Mims Troy Franklin and can’t get it going have something drawn up for Lil Humphrey who I’m grateful for as a fan but still we got the talent there just the scheme and all that ain’t there Mims is just collecting dust he’s a beast just flat out wrong on offense we gotta be better Go Broncos!
You can always tell when someone didn't play a sport at a high level when they're only capable of looking at something from one angle. Payton runs a complex offense with a lot of verbiage and moving parts. There's a good chance Humphries is more involved because he understands the play book better since he's been in the offense longer. The other receivers just need more time and you'll start to see more talented players shine as the season goes on.
As somebody who has played football at a high level and has coached at a high level, responses like this always make me laugh because you’re trying to minimize Sayre’s opinion and perspective, and a valid one at that.
I think the take on Sean Payton “favoring his guys” is a poor one. Javonte got the lions share of runs and averaged 1.5 yards per carry. I think our “supposed best playmakers” are severely underperforming. Seems like Payton is trying to mix up who is doing what so he can find the pieces that will work. With the huge dead cap hit because of GM overpaying Russell Wilson we are lacking on talented playmakers on offense. We had to let Jeudy go because of cap, and our best WR is slow and struggling to get separation. Granted Bo needs to hit him in stride better when he DOES get separation, but overall our offense is just lacking talents and it shows.
It's different for every rookie QB but at some point in their first year playing it should start to slow down. Hopefully we will begin to see this with Bo here in the near future. For C.J. Stroud he struggled his first 2 games but then took off in his 3rd start on. Bo is extremely smart so I am hopeful it will start to show soon.
TE Lucas Krull RB1 Audric Estime (when healed) RB2 Tyler Badie / Blake Watson 3rd down back Javonte Williams WR1 Marvin Mims WR2 Devon Vele WR3 Troy Franklin Convert Jeleel McLaughlin to a slot style Wes Welker / Tyreek Hill speed quick threat to help mims and Franklin stress the defense!
I believe the offense would be much better if Bo was under center more and they ran more outside zone runs I think it would open up more seams for the running backs and also set up Bo for play action passes. This mano on mano running plays just ain't working. Also let Joe call the plays.
I am certainly not worried about Bo. An entire locker room of NFL players voted a rookie QB to be their captain. They did not do so for no reason. SP needs to start with taking a good and hard look at himself in the mirror and realize that he needs to adapt to a modern game and so much more.
Nix is not y’all’s problem. The problem is, no number 1 WR, TE OR RB & the oline is trash. How do y’all expect a rookie QB to succeed with nothing around him.
Do you think Greg Penner asks SP about personnel? How about giving Badie a few carries after he goes 10+ yds on one carry. I hope Greg’s nickname isn’t “Pushover Penner”
Did you watch Court in the last game? He was slow, can see visually he's lost a step or two. Still great route runner, but he's kinda slow. But no run game no pass game, I'd study Shanahans offense if I were Sean. It's the only one having success in the league right now. But does require workhorse backs.
Why do we even have a Joe Lombardi if Sean Payton is just going to call all the offensive plays??? I really don't understand. Like why doesn't he let the coordinators do their jobs and he can do just head coach stuff. I feel like Sean's ego is hurting the team. I don't know the most about football so maybe this is a dumb question. Just sayin tho🤷
We have had enough losing seasons. It's time to start winning again! Sean Payton is trash as a head coach and you could see it in his last three years in New Orleans. He has traded away some of our best talent and if he keeps doing things his way, he's going to run the rest of our talent away. Courtland Sutton is one of the best receivers in the NFL and he should be getting thrown to more than anyone else on that team! Jaonte Williams should be the starting runningback as well. and in the hell did we not consider getting Gary Kubiak's son, Klint Kubiak, to be the offensive coorinator or even the head coach. It doesn't matter what coach calls the play ,if the players can't play. Get rid of Williams and Dul shits!!! Make an example out of them. We want Dawgs on our team!!!
We have to be watching a different game, and alot of yall shows taking what one person say and run with it. If Nix and Sutton not connecting and him and lil Jordan is, forget that feed him the ball. Vale was connecting feed him the ball, Reynolds connecting feed him the ball. That's BS, I'm tide of hearing about his guys because his guys not all play makers that's how I know alot of yall watching other shows and taking stuff and running with it so yall can have something to put out. How many times Sutton caught the ball are the ball got close to his hands. At the end of the day you want to win are lose. The biggest problem is the stuff Sean running is old and simple. The game changing and Sean need to catch up are the broncos need to fire him. This a dam good show I follow heavy but yall need to stick to what yall was doing at first to get yall followers don't take what another show say and run with it.
@LockedOnBroncos I'm at the game to my point was it's not just Sean players, it's not that one person..lol.. So if you there how many catches Sutton catching , we all seen lil Jordan that's one guy from the Saints the TE from there not even getting in greg in. How can yall say his player. Vale wasn't with the Saints. So what game you watching, Sean is calling wack ass plays, they on to that simple shit. First time the did a trick play steelers didn't know what the hell to do right or wrong.
It doesn't matter who is calling plays, we have no playmakers. The Russell Wilson saga hurt bad. It's going to take a couple years of top 10 picks to recover in my opinion.
Hire the only scumbag coach in the history of the League to be suspended for a year, who was too afraid to coach again without his HOF QB until a big bag of inexperienced ownership money was thrown his way annnnnnd here we are.
Look at the film. The play calls are horrible for the WRs and TEs they have. No one can create separate except Mims who doesn’t even play. The run game is atrocious. Bo can’t even go through his whole progression in time.
He doesn't have an NFL arm? This remark is just stupid. His arm strength isn't elite but it's plenty strong enough to make the necessary throws to be a quality starting QB in the NFL. Nix has a lot to clean up and get better at, which is always the case for rookie QB's, but his "arm" is not an issue. Examples, see... B. Purdy, D. Brees, J. Burrow, P. Rivers, etc. etc. etc...
Marvin Mims is just a guy. He's a marginal route runner who's basically a one trick pony. Dulcich is fragile and soft, so when he eschews his only positive quality--pass catching--he needs to go. 'Best players'? There are none. The cupboard is bare thanks to Paton's Russell Wilson fiasco.

IS Payton getting the most out of Nix, probably not, but put Nix on the 49ers and would he play as well as Purdy did in his rookie season ... no way.
Let Joe Lombardi call these next two games and go from there.
It’s been 2 games people. 🤦♂️
I'm tired about hearing about the Saints.
Lucas krull needs to be in there, javonte isn't doing anything either, sit him too, I'd rather see Tyler badie. Marvin Mims isn't good with Payton for some reason. Josh Reynolds courtland, Mims and krull should be out there EVERY PLAY.
Not Payton the issue😮 thought it was Russ😂😂😂 yep i know he's gone😂😂😂
How can Sean call a running play when the runners can't run? Or pass to a tight end that can't catch get rid of the players who can't play. It doesn't matter what coach calls the play ,if the players can't play. Get rid of Williams and Dul shits!!! Make an example out of them. We want Dawgs on our team!!!
@@marklawrence2311 the runners didn’t just lose the ability to run
I’m at practice every day - I take what I hear and see.
@LockedOnBroncos that's practice, we talking about the game
@@djcapo6969 I’m at every game too lol I go into the locker room after games
@LockedOnBroncos I'm at the game to my point was it's not just Sean players, it's not that one person..lol.. So if you there how many catches Sutton catching , we all seen lil Jordan that's one guy from the Saints the TE from there not even getting in greg in. How can yall say his player. Vale wasn't with the Saints. So what game you watching, Sean is calling wack ass plays, they on to that simple shit. First time the did a trick play steelers didn't know what the hell to do right or wrong.
@@djcapo6969 Sayre said that Sean has his guys that he tends to favor. No reason Sutton or Mims have less targets than LJH
We’ve become the Denver AINTS 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
The problem is Russell Wilson...lol 😆
It doesn't matter who is calling plays, we have no playmakers. The Russell Wilson saga hurt bad. It's going to take a couple years of top 10 picks to recover in my opinion.
So funny how a losing team keeps blaming one man for all their woes. SMH.
@@tdor9963 right and they still suck with the same head coach…
Hire the only scumbag coach in the history of the League to be suspended for a year, who was too afraid to coach again without his HOF QB until a big bag of inexperienced ownership money was thrown his way annnnnnd here we are.
Simplify the offense!
we suck!! bad coaching and lack of talent on offense
He being Lil Jordan.. gonna dunk on your ass
Yes Sean Payton is the problem. He cant admit when he makes a mistake. Bo isn't ready to start and NEVER was. He doesn't have a NFL arm.
B. Purdy, D. Brees, J. Burrow, P. Rivers, etc. etc. etc...
Still falls back to the system
I was counting down the clock from home! SURPRISED the fans at the game didn't do the same? Hackett/Wilson
Time for the offensive coordinator to start calling the plays.
It's a rebuild. DUH.
Bo Nix should not be starting!!!!
@@jencloward2036 yes he should.
Bo is not the issue. Sean is washed
Geroge patton is horrible
Cut both the Payton’s hiring from within an turn this thing around
