The GTS is far more money for about the same performance. I'd take a base, clean, pretty, Z06 anyway over em all anyway

Bruh when comparing a Chevy to a porsche u can't just act like performance is the only determination of price. Porsche is a premium luxury brand with a far better fit and finish. Plus porsche 911s hold value like no other. The zo6 to the untrained eye just looks like any other c8 on the road. Porsche doesn't come with the bagging of being known as an old man in long white socks sports car . 😂
@@G82Watts It's a bit ironic to bring up the Z06 looking just like any other C8 to the untrained eye while defending Porsche. The untrained eye won't be able to tell the difference between a Carrera, a GTS, a turbo s, a GT3 touring, an S/T, or even a 991 from a 992.
The new 992 GTS is still slower on the Nurburgring and cost more than a Camaro ZL11LE? Porsche does great things with cars AT A PRICE. 992 vs GT2RS is almost here, and i would have to give the nod to GM at this point.
Nobody buys a sports car because it's faster around a track.

The Carreras don’t have much downforce. They’re not track cars by any means. The GT3 has a far faster time than the Camaro, and it not only has less power than the Camaro, but also the Carrera GTS. To suggest that these new cars aren’t that good just because of the nurburgring is silly. The 911 is clearly a great car, they just meed to be optimized for the track like every other car.

If they come out with a RWD Turbo with a manual they would have my vote. At first I was cool with the C8 not having a manual but damn now it really needs one.
I disagree with your approach concerning the GT3 and GT3 RS. The whole reason for these models is keeping alive the fabulous NA 4.0 flat-6, with no turbo(s) or other adjunction. What you say is fine for the GTS and forthcoming Turbos and GT2 RS. But not the GT3 😎
That Porsche, engine and power unit will be more closer to the 2026 new generation F1 engines Porsche, was planning on being in F1 but the deal with Red Bull fell through and they had already started working on the technology

sorry, as much as i do have respect for the 911, its getting old in the sense that , two changes and here ya go. It looks the same over and over unless its a GT3 on up and even then its subtle. THen the price they want "starting" at msrp of 114k the base line 911 with some options and out the door costing maybe 130-140k ? Nah.. What the porsche tech you are talking about basically already has and how it comes out of the corners. Let porsche be porsche. Even though the z06 is solid out of the corners and low Rpm ( not quite like the eray) imagine just putting the electric setup on the z06? What about the zr1 with its twin turbos and then maybe special edition with 120hp electrics?
To complicated and to much to break. Those who have never owned these cars don't realize how much it costs to maintain. Plus, it's still slow compared to state-of-the-art drivetrains found in Tesla, Lucid and Hyundai cars. Either ICE or EV. Don't mix the two.
