I you have an extensive retro game collection, you might have a backup extra console. I also have extra controllers and their cables. At some point it will be hard to pickup this stuff, specially in good condition...
Best deal I ever had was at a fleamarket a vendor with misc electronic and wires. Was looking for an hdmi and noticed the Playstation logo on some AV cables. I asked and dude wanted a dollar. Kept digging into the pile of wires and found the actual PS1. I asked how much for the PS1? Dude wanted 2 dollars. I paid 5 and said keep the change. This was about 7 yrs ago b4 everyone became a video game expert/reseller
These consoles have ODE and softmods available, so people are after these to mod them and have access to many games. All of my retro consoles that I own I have modded and most are really easy now to install.
Can imagine sellers are catching on to all the modern AAA garbage that people are getting tired of and buying the OG consoles instead. I for sure recommend the OG Xbox with Insignia installed for online play.
I have 4 ps1s, 3 ps2s (1 brand new), 6 ps3's my friends just gave me theres, 1 ps4, 1 xbox OG, 1 xbox 360, 1 saturn, 2 dreamcasts, and 6 N64s, I need to get another saturn, that's the one that worries me not working in the future
Man you gotta mod that ps3 or wii, backup your collection it makes it so you dont have to pull discs out and keep messing with the center ring eject on cases.
I bought a ps3 super slim and ps2 last month and just picked up an OG Xbox 2 days ago. I paid around £40 for each of them. I had a store voucher that knocked down the price of my ps3 super slim and I had another store voucher that knocked down the price for my OG Xbox.
I've never seen a PAL PlayStation that is "Video CD compatible." I'm assuming it has been modified rather than an extremely rare PS1 console? Just noticed the sticker underneath your ps1
I mod all mine you should. I rip my games onto hard drives. It keeps you from killing the laser on disk drive and they load faster off hard drive than they do disk
I keep 2 of every console i like. Just in case one of them breaks ill still have a way to use the discs. Plus i got almost every second console for free, bought a lot, sold the games kept console made profit and free console🤷🏽♂️

@@Southized I treat them like new same with the back side of the CDs but it’s like Internal failures. Thermal pastes going bad or disc drives acting up. I can’t stand people touching my games
@@black2785i just must be lucky i guess. I hear online people buy original xbox and they are always broken, which is crazy to me because i have bought 10+ original xboxs over the years and havent seen one broken. Not even a bad drive.
Their not retro if they can’t play the games correctly as the arcade like your PS1 who can’t run Pac-Man a simple game marvel Vs capcom that’s why I went and bought the arcade machines if it wasn’t for Sega there wouldn’t of of a perfect marvel Vs capcom or marvel Vs capcom 2 the original Xbox is the true retro console
