Nice insights. I used the bollinger bands together with the stochastic to better place quick trades. I do 1 min expiry. And its good. Bollinger bands avoids me doing mistakes on just riding along any overbought and oversold signals
About the two lines on stochastic, it make sense u drop the other line since it looks like u do long trades, the other line is important for me to know where the two will intersect to do a reverse trend since i do quick trades.

Nice breakdown. Stochastic is like an attempt to catch the tiny market cycles.
I use on chart Stochastic instead of using Stochastic in a separate window. I use four level lines on the chart, which are 95, 80, 20 and 5. I also use a currency strength arrow which will ask you to trade in the direction of the arrow within the overbought and oversold areas. You take the trade without any stop loss. The trade will always move into profit from one day to 3 weeks of taking the trade from the currency strength arrow. It is a 100% win rate. I might make my own RUclips video to explain it. The problem with people making RUclips videos is that they expect to make immediate profits using their strategy on the same day. They don't realise that the failed trade will become a big profit 5 days later. I use currency strength arrows for confirmation.

Hey @Alex Mathew pretty well. Still testing them everyday. I decided to combine the RSI, MACD with support and resistance levels and also trendlines on the charts and the actual RSI. Planning on going live soon.

Think about this: people have gone to jail for stealing trading strategy/systems from trading companies (hedge funds)
Why would a company so fiercely guard a model? Answer: if many people are using it, or systems similar to it, then the model "expires" and does not work anymore. If everyone is doing the same thing, there is a dance, not a competition, and most of the trades out there are being done by algorithms, not people, so you're not competing against a kid in a college dorm - youre competing against highly advanced systems designed and built by PhD's

Removing the other line from stoch it looks exactly like rsi. But using the 20/80on stoch and the 30/70 on rsi and back test it makes more sense as entry exit, makes sense Thank you.

Brilliant. I just put the 200ma & stochastics on my chart and it really does work! Amazing!
It's just %Range with a slowing %K. The way he has it set up with a 1%K and a 1%D is identical to Williams %R indicator.
It's simply plots position in a preset price range.
It's a great reversal indicator that can help detect and confirm new emerging trends, and strong overbought or oversold trends that can be traded within on a shorter time frame.

Hey hey! What's up my friend! I watch your vids regularly to understand the ways to trade. Here you mentioned about lower and higher time frames. Most indicators like Stochastic show different trends when changing into different time frames. So how to interpret them and which one to consider for taking decision to trade. Even 200 EMA could show the price up and below it in higher and lower time frames. Then how to know the exact trend and trade accordingly while using 200 EMA and Stochastic.
I generally look to do Intra Day trades for which I use 15 minute candles. But when I check different time frame candle chart like 1 hour or 4 hours or Daily, it shows different signals in Candles and applied indicators, which is confusing.
Hi Rayner, what if the 200 EMA shows a clear uptrend on the Daily chart, but has price action below it on the 4-hourly? Please refer to the GBP/NOK chart.

What platform do you use for charting?
Stochastic is just a range indicator, exactly the same as %R. All it does is plot where you are in a designated range. When it's oversold or overbought this just means that there's a strong trend and it's a pretty good time to be trading within this trend on a smaller time frame. It's also very good for confirmation of a new trend, say price crosses through a short term (10 period) moving average with a strong bullish or bearish candle and stochastics is also moving in that direction.
So is there really an oversold and overbought condition in a underlying, or is it a probability or mental thing?
