One of my mom's friends told me how when she and her husband were newlyweds back in the 70s they had their first apartment. Well one day her husband came home from work and the landlord was in their apparent snooping around. He literally told her husband that b/c he owned the building he had the right to come in whenever he wanted. They moved out of there like a week later.

I feel bad for the grumpy old guy in the last story. To be fair, he gave her a good reason to think that he was guilty because of how upset he was about having to share. And her things being gone through and him wearing a similar scarf made him look guilty. Her lesson was to not judge a book by its cover but I would add to not to give anyone a reason to think that you would be capable of and most likely be guilty of such things as stealing and pilfering through other's belongings. Try to be kind and considerate to others, even if you don't necessarily feel like it. Thank you Let's Read! 💯🙏

Story 3 stuck with me. Not going to lie when you hear cute woman stalker stories sometimes I wish that were me, but it's clear that she had actual bad intentions. Probably wanted to Rob him or even worse.
I wouldve been terrified irl but the image of him rocking back and forth in a dim, dusty and concrete floored storage room, wearing the scarf and then hearing "this is my scarf little lady" in Joel's gravely old man voice cracked me up so hard.
Had my front door kicked in by a drunken man looking for his girlfriend at my previous rental. We had been there just one month and our daughter was only 3 months old. I’ll never forget her crying while I was on the phone with 911 as this man pounded on our door thinking that was it and hiding her in our closet. Pretty traumatic, we broke the lease and moved out at the end of that month because it just didn’t feel like a “home” anymore.
I need closure on story 3! 😆 What was she doing and why!? What did she want? Why didn't she ever respond again? How did you never run into her again? Go over to her door right now and ask all these questions! I NEED to know lmao 🤣
I know like what was her plan? You can’t really rob someone when you live in the same building unless she was planning to kill him too? Like what was in her back pocket? Taser? Knife? Adult toy?
My worst story is, I moved into a pretty nice apartment in a good area, next door is a family, the woman is a complete psycho and starts fights almost daily, she throws stuff at the wall, yells at her little children for nothing, like when they don't get dressed fast enough, absolutely awful person. As long as her boyfriend is there it's not bad enough to move out but pretty soon he's had enough and leaves. She has a friend move in to pay the rent and they escalate into alcoholism, chain smoking in the hallways, raucous fights during the weekend, I complain and tell the friend that it's not allowed to smoke in the hallway, she loses it and chases me two flights of stairs, I write a letter to the landlord, they let me out of my lease early.

She would have these weird stories playing, with a sound track of creaking floors and squeaking doors. Basically scary stories. I wished I could hear them again as an adult right? But I just didn’t think that was ever going to happen. Lol Then my daughter asked me if I ever heard of mrballen. After that you could say my wish was granted. I never knew that RUclips had anything else other than music. Boy am l slow! Ever since I have been here listening in my bedroom to every thing I can get my hands on. So I was around 51 when I found out that I had been missing out on so many wonderful things RUclips has to offer. I didn’t even know what a podcast was. Story 3... I was just curious if that lady had an issue with sleepwalking? People can look really possessed and do all sorts of things, including making calls, driving, etc. I would be so embarrassed if I had been sleepwalking and done something like that. It's better to be safe than sorry, though.

I'll tell u as someone who's grown up in VT before the wave of city ppl came in from the pandemic- there's a reason neighbors will bring over brownies and introduce themselves, it's to get a peek into your place and see if you're a dang weirdo! Being afraid like they've made us only makes monsters out of everyone; get to know the ppl around you so you can find out the ppl you actually have to avoid!
Don't know if youll ever see this but to the person who had the post with Stars for eyes note left on their table. "Starstruck" thats what they represent. That person prob thinks your famous or is stating they are enamored with you .
Did I miss something in story 5? 2 kids break into hoarder guy's apartment, the guy hears them so says things like 'i know you're there' etc, which I presume was to scare the intruders away. After hiding from the homeowner for a bit, the older of the 2 kids jumps out and _attacks the homeowner_ before running away. 🙄🤔
Story 4 - all I could think about was Joey yelling, “Hot Girl!” in frustration and deciding to scale the balconies to finally connect to the right one. 🙈😝

I can relate to the stories, I would check with the landlord and asked him or her about their security situation at the apartment complex. If you can't get any answers to your questions, then don't rent that apartment at all 😮.

Kinda funny how that one story about the creepy woman from that apartment was met with jokes and humor, but if it was the other way around, I can almost 100% bet it wouldn’t be the same story. Idk, sometimes can’t help but notice double standards. Anyways, great video!

I can relate to the stories, I would check with the landlord and asked him or her about their security situation at the apartment complex. If you can't get any answers to your questions, then don't rent that apartment at all 😮.

I live in a huge apartment complex. And I have my fair share of stories. But I'm still waiting to encounter the ghost of Elvis who used to live in my building So, I find apartment themed stories fascinating. 😊
