Interesting to see you have the DeepMind too. How similar are the raw sounds between them (with no effects?). I have a DeepMind 12 and I’m wondering if if I really need the Pro 800.
Reminded me of some songs - I'll be, good. Jump. Stand back. Some groups- Chvrches, Tool, Anamotion, Human League, Is Thomas Dolby, Jimmy Jam/Terry Lewis, The Time, Duran Duran, Gary Newman, D-Train, Berlin, Missing Persons...(If you know, you know!)😂
It's more raw and fat and straight forward tweaking. The filter and envs are just right. The Rev-2 is much more tame, but the best sequential when it comes to sound design.
Try unplugging every usb cable until you found the one that generates the hiss 😁 it’s always better to use din midi than usb midi as they’re optocoupled
Line2USB is in fact just a cable with an integrated A/D converter with USB output, so i can't change something about that. Maybe i can try a usb extension cable in between or an unpowered usb hub.
Please could I ask you a very mundane question about the pro 800? I have one on order from Thomann in Germany but keep receiving contradictory answers from them about what sort of power supply it comes with. Please may I ask on your pro 800 is the power supply built into the plug (wall wart), and if so can the power supply prongs be slid out and replaced for different countries? Or, alternatively, is the power supply similar to the ones that comes with laptop computers where there are two cables emanating from it, one that goes to the wall and one that goes into the back of the private hundred. Any information, this would be very much appreciated as I can’t find it anywhere at the moment. Many thanks in advance
@@umusic6 wow, thank you so much for the rapid reply. I’m not sure I understood completely, do you mean it’s a rectangular cox shaped power supply with a fixed cable going from the PSU to the pro 800, and a second removable mains lead going from the psu to the wall socket? If so is it a standard figure 8 connector that connects the mains power lead to the psu box? If so, would I be right in thinking that I could simply replace the power lead (mains plug at one end and figure 8 at the other) to match my county’s plug requirement? Finally, if you don’t mind, please could I ask which country you’re in please. Will be following your channel now. Many. Many thanks
Fantastic, so I don’t need to worry if I want to, I can replace the mains lead from wall to psu with one with my choice of mains plug. Amazingly good news, many thanks again.
Honestly, all the Behringer synths sound pretty much the same to me. I've watched the videos on the UB-Xa and initially wanted one until I heard it. The Oberheims have a creamy low end that is lost on the Behringer clone.
The ones i have/had are sounding really different. Model D, CAT, Wasp, Pro One, Pro 800, Neutron. Their MonoPoly sounded too generic for me, not even close to the Original. Can't speak for the UB-Xa, but that one will be a hard challenge to replicate the magic of the original. Even Oberheim itself was not quite capable with the OBX8 from my point of view.
@@umusic6 SPOT ON! I am on my second real MonoPoly and from what I've seen online the Behringer one does NOT sound like the real one at all ! The Pro-1 and 800 I have sound great though. I like the Pro-1 better than the Real one in fact. The Pro-800 sounds great, like they cleaned up the P-600, which I also have. Keeping all of them as long as I can afford to. One day I'll set up the 600 with the 800 and layer them..

omg the first video ! thank you mister.
by the way it sounds so massive... raw and organic.
Sounds great, nice to hear raw instead of a massive effect chain with a over dramatic reverb at the end!
Thank you! I only learned that these were delivered a few minutes ago and found this shortly after :)
For the price... this is a steal!
Sounds almost as good as Diva and Omnisphere!
Honest and authentic - well done! 👍
Having a P5, P6, Rev2 I don‘t think I need the Pro-800. But yes, it does have that Prophet sound!
Sound reminds me very much of my Rev2.
It does kinda remind me of the rev 2. It is quite a bit less sterile though.
Wow, this synth has so much character, and at 400 USD I'm sold. Great demo!
Bro ❤Amazing sounds 👍🏽🎹🔥😍
Sounds great. Punchy
Holy shit, that bass at 3:18 is AMAZING
god I can't wait till my pre order arrives ready to go to outer space with all my bluegrass folk style
Beautiful
Very nice sounds. It sounds fat and rich even without effects.
My unit will arrive in 2 days! Can't wait!😊
where from?
Hello! Thanks for the demo! Please, compare Pro-800 to DM-12. Make some similar presets. It will be very interesting!
that sound at 8:37 😱 wow, i love it, sounds amazing 👋🎵👍
My man, you're the real MVP 👍

Sounds really nice

It makes sense. Berlin used intensively the Prophet-5 (that shares a lot with this Pro-800, same oscillators, same filters and same architecture).
Excellent video, thanks
Sounds great
How do I setup my Deepmind-12 to control preset switching like you do?
It's in the global menu under midi settings: prog-change. Set to rx-tx.
I am not sure if you have to enable on pro 800 also explicitly
Lovely. How does it compare to your Prophet ?
It's more raw and fat and straight forward tweaking. The filter and envs are just right. The Rev-2 is much more tame, but the best sequential when it comes to sound design.
@@umusic6 : Great. The simplicity was what attracted me to it.
Are you using ANY effects at all here ?
No. Dry from the mono out.
@@umusic6well not tame if you use the gathed sequencer for oscillator offsets
@@TheTerracide I also use an Alternate Tuning which slightly detunes the voices from perfect
Great. 🎉 i love this sounds.
Sound pretty cool, but the release doesn’t sound like i expected an analog synth to sound like
nice very nice..I think I will buy one as soon as they are available in Australia.
How do you browse the preset sounds ? I can't find the way to..
I am using the Deepmind 12 to advance the presets on the Pro-800. It sends Midi Program Change, which the Pro-800 has implemented.
Sounds phat! I can’t get a clear answer anywhere. Does the pro 800 have presets?
Yes, lots. And all parameters are Midi controllable
@@umusic6 Thanks!
Also has that fizzling sound like my Prophet Rev2, which I don't really like either. So it seems to be a legit prophet ;) .
I LOVE the fizzing sound !
how does it compare to the DEEPMIND? Does it sound much fuller?
Great video, thx!
How's the tuning? As in, have you noticed it drifting and such!?
Punchy and spanking. It has a very firm tone.
Will this be a series?
👍I LOVE ! 💙⚪❤
oooohhh those pads
Nice video, amazing sounds! Sounds like you have a bit of USB ground loop noise though...
Ahh, ok, was wondering how to get rid of that. Any tip ?

Only usb involved is my Behringer Line2USB ... maybe it doesn't play well with my iPhone 11. I will try with my Zoom H2N
Could try a different cable as well

how it compares with the Rev 2 sonicwise?
😍

Yep, the psu is right as you described.
It is 100-240V 59/60Hz m. I'm in Germany.

Btw, cable is much longer than usual, which comes in really handy.

That LFO is unusable. They have replicated the same problem introduced by Gligli in the Prophet-600 firmware. Definitely I'll pass on this.
