  • Changed the hydraulic oil in my mini excavator. I was surprised to find that the machine has two filters, an oil return filter and an oil out filter. I think they can be cleaned and reused many times.

I would have added a FUMOTO drain valve, then hookup a hose when draining.
    Thanks for the video.

My return filter looks the same as yours. Did you have any luck finding a part number? I have not been able to find one short enough to fit, but mine has 1in NPT threads on the bottom. The strainer screen can be cleaned will probably last forever but the filter will need to be replaced eventually as it filters to the micron level . I may have to remove the original and add an external one if I can't find anything.

I didn't see a part number on it. It looks like filter #91275-13300 however since my filter is in use, I do not know if it has the same dimensions or thread. I will have to put forth a better search for the filter, like you if I can't find a replacement I will do an external filter mod too, which for my machine will be expensive. Do you have a Landhero too?

Happen to have a part # for those filters? I have the same machine.

Never did find out a part number, there were no markings on them that I could see. I found where to buy the filter on the bottom of the tank, would have to email Julie Yang (sales083@sinogoldmachine.com) with a picture of the filter so she can confirm it's the right one. I never did find where to get the filter that is on the oil inlet. But these type of filters can be cleaned and reused many times which is why I didn't try harder to find a source for the inlet side filter.

The layout of the service points for these Chinese diggers is unbelievably bad. Just in completely inaccessible areas. The guys I have my Infront machine from have said to access the hydraulic fluid drain you have to remove the tank. What the hell.....

You're not kidding. I was looking at the bottom of my CiMiEx for the hydraulic oil drain and was like Where is it! Some of them do have the drain on the bottom. I much rather pump the oil out than remove the tank.
And the oil drain for the motor oil on my machine doesn't line up with the hole in the floor, not even close. I had oil going all over the place. I'm hesitant to get a drain extension because looking at the pictures it looks like the inside diameter is on the narrow side, I like the oil to gush out at full force to flush any metal out of the motor. I'll probably get one after a number of oil changes.

I was lucky with the oil drain on the machine I have from Infront machines, the plug sits just above a removeable plate so it came straight out. Filling up again was another pain in the arse, but thats just life I think with these machines.

@@PropaPalkoThat's a nice set up on yours. For filling I got a long funnel and I go through the trouble of removing the back cover and I have good access with it off. Yup that's what we get with these machines :-)

Those filters can come unscrewed due to pressure pulsing. Another mini-ex owner here on YT has shown his filters loose laying on the bottom of the tank and some heavy wear inside the pump after just 10 hours operation. Did you get an oil test?

@@johnrussell6620 I saw that, was The Garage Connection. His mini only had the screen, not the oil return filter. They are good enough for me.
