If you must buy feather or down filled products please check the company are RDS certified. The conditions and treatment of birds/animals in many places is appalling.
Hi Josie, I strongly suggest you water the grass in the evening or early morning when the sun is not above your head, so that water doesn't just evaporate and actually seeps to grass roots. Just a suggestion (at 11:37 minutes in this video).
I wish you did an empty house tour of this house, maybe you thought it was too chaotic but personally I didn't really enjoy room reveals because it just doesn't give any idea of the layout of the house. I wish you did like a walk through. I think you could still do that in the staircase area and tell us what room is where probably starting from the kitchen.

If you can sew in a zipper, doing pillow covers is quite easy and a fun way to change the look of a room with beautiful fabric and nice savings from having them sewn for you. For same reason no longer buy feather filled cushions. The best contribution anyone can make to ending animal cruelty and also towards sustainability is by following a vegan lifestyle. Second to that is limiting air travel and car usage.

We have a summer duvet which is light weight, then an autumn/spring one. Then our winter one is the two duvets together!! It's game changing!! We went for British wool instead though!!

Simply wonderful, country life as I know it here in NZ, not that much different to what it's like for you. We raise beef cattle, we have two little dogs that we adore and wonderful neighbours and friends doing much the same as us. I love your enthusiasm, well done on the little pool for the dogs, so essential in the heat. Ours love it when we turn on the sprinklers lol too. They're bailing haylage. It's a wrapped version of hay. It doesn't need turning after cutting and once baled can be stored outside. Mainly for horses as cattle eat silage. So if you have a thriving equestrian community you can sound knowledgeable. 🐎🦄

Yes I have a 4.5 for summer and a 10 tog for Winter. But having a latex memory foam mattress you will be slightly warmer as you don’t have as much pressure points on mattress as you sink into it. Bear that in mind if your getting a memory foam or latex, you will be slightly warmer than a standard pocket sprung. Sorry boring comment

I did enjoy the vlog. I am also curious to watch Charlie's vlog. He does have one, right? I would love to follow some of his cooking and gardening techniques. Can you post his channel for us? Also, I was reminded about the plantings you got to place around the pond. What did you finally settle on? I have some very nice miniature Japanese maple bushes, that look so lovely and do not need watering, that could give that area some color all season. I have a red one and a light green one and the leaves are so sift and feathery looking, I think they would make a great addition to the pond area, if you like red. They do not grow into the Japanese maple tree, I also have one of those. The two low maple buses I have are underneath my picture window in the front of the house and I have had them for over 10 years and they have not needed to be trimmed down yet. Happy gardening.
I don’t blame you for wanting to chill, not just because you’ve not stopped since you moved in, but also because it’s so difficult to do hard work when it is so hot. I’ve been staying indoors during the hottest part of the day, and doing garden bits in the cool of the evening. Being Scottish I am not used to it being this hot! 🥵 but the sunshine is lovely and raises the spirits of everyone xxx
jaconnair different climates exist. Also it was 21 and ‘not that hot yet’. It was going to be 25. 25 in sea climate feels a looot different. We have the same climate and when it gets 30 degrees you get a horrible headache and the air feels so heavy. When it’s 30 in France or Greece i have no issues.

A lot of people have two different duvets a winter one and a summer one , just be careful if you have any asthma/ breathing problems as any feathers in duvets and pillows are a definate no no, my mother in law as just been diagnosed with what’s called a bird fanciers lung which can be caused by the feathers, I have thrown all mine away as I have asthma, just a little note to make you aware without scaring you .....great race night idea

I actually laugh out loud with Dexie and Dickie. They are so adorable! My son runs over to me when he sees me laughing because he likes your doggies too 😍 Dexie dries himself very properly after the bath, rolling in the towel as he should, while Dickie rolls in the grass collecting all manner of debris 🤣 Precious!

Simply wonderful, country life as I know it here in NZ, not that much different to what it's like for you. We raise beef cattle, we have two little dogs that we adore and wonderful neighbours and friends doing much the same as us. I love your enthusiasm, well done on the little pool for the dogs, so essential in the heat. Ours love it when we turn on the sprinklers lol too. Your content is amazing or as Charlie would say "epic" xxx

They're bailing haylage. It's a wrapped version of hay. It doesn't need turning after cutting and once baled can be stored outside. Mainly for horses as cattle eat silage. So if you have a thriving equestrian community you can sound knowledgeable. 🐎🦄

Yes I have a 4.5 for summer and a 10 tog for
Winter. But having a latex memory foam mattress you will be slightly warmer as you don’t have as much pressure points on mattress as you sink into it. Bear that in mind if your getting a memory foam or latex, you will be slightly warmer than a standard pocket sprung. Sorry boring comment

I did enjoy the vlog. I am also curious to watch Charlie's vlog. He does have one, right? I would love to follow some of his cooking and gardening techniques. Can you post his channel for us? Also, I was reminded about the plantings you got to place around the pond. What did you finally settle on? I have some very nice miniature Japanese maple bushes, that look so lovely and do not need watering, that could give that area some color all season. I have a red one and a light green one and the leaves are so sift and feathery looking, I think they would make a great addition to the pond area, if you like red. They do not grow into the Japanese maple tree, I also have one of those. The two low maple buses I have are underneath my picture window in the front of the house and I have had them for over 10 years and they have not needed to be trimmed down yet. Happy gardening.
I don’t blame you for wanting to chill, not just because you’ve not stopped since you moved in, but also because it’s so difficult to do hard work when it is so hot. I’ve been staying indoors during the hottest part of the day, and doing garden bits in the cool of the evening. Being Scottish I am not used to it being this hot! 🥵 but the sunshine is lovely and raises the spirits of everyone xxx

jaconnair different climates exist. Also it was 21 and ‘not that hot yet’. It was going to be 25. 25 in sea climate feels a looot different. We have the same climate and when it gets 30 degrees you get a horrible headache and the air feels so heavy. When it’s 30 in France or Greece i have no issues.
@@silverhairedqueen When I lived in the UK (Greater London) I was constantly cold. I always shook my head at my colleagues who acted as if they were boiling or almost expecting a heat stroke when it was...like... 24°C / 75°F in summer. No offense =D
A lot of people have two different duvets a winter one and a summer one , just be careful if you have any asthma/ breathing problems as any feathers in duvets and pillows are a definate no no, my mother in law as just been diagnosed with what’s called a bird fanciers lung which can be caused by the feathers, I have thrown all mine away as I have asthma, just a little note to make you aware without scaring you .....great race night idea
