You and Charlie aren't just "cooks," you're chefs! Today's roast and the description of how it was done was exciting to watch! And that's not to mention all the other wonderful parts of this video. You're so young to have perfected so much. It's inspiring! Every detail of what you're doing with the house and garden are in superb good taste and with the lockdown we also get to see so much more of Charlie's involvement. I've rarely seen two people so perfect together and it must be very uplifting for everyone who watches.
Wow, is there nothing that you two don’t do superbly well??? You are such a perfectly matched couple and give so much pleasure to all of us who get to vicariously enjoy your life together🥰
i love hearing the birds in the background when you and Charlie were talking roasts. It was so calming and whimsical like. Really reminds me of Pride and Prejudice vibe with a hint of modern, so beautiful!
Wow, Josie you are so blessed to have an awesome partner and Chef Charlie is lucky to have an amazing partner, too. Teamwork really makes a dream work. I really enjoy watching your new home vlogs. :)
Keep the Workmans bench and use it as a potting table. Get a silver bin that’s fairly shallow, like the kind they use in restaurants or buffets to serve food. Cut out a slot for it on the top of the bench and this is where you pot plants. Pour the overspill from the dirt back into a bucket where you keep your dirt. Use a bucket with a lid to keep out creepy Crawley’s underneath the table.
Kia Ora from NZ Josie. Your comments were so sweet today and we feel so proud to have achieved some normality. That said as of today we have two new cases and this is because we let travellers from overseas leave quarantine early for compassionate reasons (they had a parent pass). Unfortunately they had COVID! So we are learning that there can be no exceptions. We have to have faith that we will get this this. In the meantime, enjoy those goose fat potatoes and your beautiful parasol. This too will pass x
DARLING JOSIE AND CHARLIE , ARE YOU SERIOUSLY THINKING OF USING THAT OUTHOUSE BATHROOM ? IF NOT , MAYBE YOU COULD COVER THAT ENTIRE OUTHOUSE TOILET WITH A CEMENT AND BUILD A " SAUNA HOUSE , " INSTEAD . YOU COULD ALSO HAVE AN " ETERNITY SWIMMING POOL NEARBY . " LOOK FOR POSSIBLE " BUSINESS SPONSORS " TO ADVERTISE THEIR BUSINESS IN THE MAKING OF YOUR SWIMMING POOL , FOR FREE ! CAN YOU IMAGINE HAVING THEM IN YOUR BACKYARD . ALSO HAVING A " LANDSCAPING BUSINESSES " SPONSOR YOU AND ADVERTISE THEIR BUSINESS IN YOUR BACKYARD OR FRONT , FOR FREE . AND CHARLIE WOULD LOOK " HOT " AS THE YEAR 2021 AS THE MEN'S PERFUME MODEL , AND MEN'S CASUAL , SPORTS AND DRESS TO KILL APPARELS .
Charlie, I have a tip for your roast beef and it is to put smoked oysters (you can buy small tins of them from the supermarket) into the beef in the same way you'd put garlic in lamb by making a slit with a knife and pushing the smoked oyster in - it is a marriage made in heaven. Also I add red wine to my gravy made from meat juices, sherry for roast chicken. I put spoonfuls of the fat from the roast meat in the bottom of the yorkshire pudding tins so you get extra flavour from the fat. Your roast was amazing and it really is a wonderful tradition and well worth being on washing up duty for!
Tip: when using the plastic paint roller trays, add a layer of tin foil or cling film before adding the paint! Makes for a much quicker clean up ❤️ Really loving your home vlogs, Josie 😍
Omg! What a delicious meal.... incredible recipe Charlie. Josie is the anything you can’t do. I really admire your determination and ability. My favorite couple... I mean it.
I love how you're incorporating different shades of green in your house and surrounding area! Those gold-accented chairs arw amazing, they're gorgeous! And the little pond house, the sage green colour really looks natural!
It‘s the weekend, I‘m going to paint my duck house and chairs. Me: puts on my 2001 corp team building grotty grey t-shirt and old jean shorts with holes. Takes off all jewelry. Gets paint everywhere, has to throw away clothes and bathe in turpentine. Josie: puts on dupe Zimmerman white shorts and silky pastel pink scalloped camisole. Cute pearly earrings and bracelet and white sneakers. Not a drop of paint on outfit! What voodoo magic do you do not to get paint on you? xo
Charley is a very great cook 👨🍳 he seems to really enjoy 😉 being in the kitchen You both seem at Home at you Beautiful House 🏠 I enjoy 😉 watching you both ! May you both stay as happy 😃 and joyful as you are right now !!!!!!!!!!
We’re very lucky here in Guernsey in the Channel Islands too, no new cases for over 40 days and we’re out of lockdown. So nice to be getting back to ‘normal’ x 🌈
It's fun and surprising the amount of earthy green you are inclining towards these days, ever since you've moved in, from the duck house to the living room, to the bedroom furniture to the green lamps in the wood panelled room to the snug room walls .. your favourite colour Pink must sometimes feel jealous !! ☺️
I love how dedicated you and Charlie are to looking after your lovely new (old) home with that lovely eclectic mix of DIY and professional care. Rescuing what you can, where you can and mixing the old with the new to bring out the best of your home and it’s contents. It is looking amazing 🥰 Have you ever done that with your fashion blogs? I would love to see what you would do with a charity shop find. Xx
Josie you leave me in awe of your ability to paint in white shorts, I had to smile if that was me I would have had more streaks on my clothes than paint on the duck house. Everything is looking lovely. Xx
3 observations : #1 The chairs are looking stunning. #2 Josie you are so lucky Charlie likes and knows how to cook. Its every girl's wish. #3 Everytime you guys are out doors I keep thinking how spacious your outdoor area really is. It's like you can literally go for a run outside.
I just love the cooking lessons in this vlog! That roast dinner was certainly epic!! I would love more cooking lessons/recipes in future vlogs please Josie 🙏🏻🍽
Another lovely vlog full of variety! From umbrellas, a painted duck house to an old outhouse, transforming chairs to baking banana bread and cooking an amazing roast dinner, precious puppy dogs and sweethearts making sweet hearts in your coffee, not to mention beautiful scenery everywhere you look! So much to enjoy! I think those gold and green occasional chairs can go just bout anywhere. On either side of your chest/sideboard you’re planning for the entry. Up in your attic room by a little table. In your pink room - one by the door next to a little chest/table and one between the window and wardrobe by a small chest of drawers or between the fireplace and bathroom or in the corner by the window depending on the nightstand situation. In your dining room on either side of the fireplace or buffet/sideboard for extra seating or at the head and foot of the table, depending on the style of dining room chairs you choose. They don’t have to stay together, perhaps one tucked in the little “library” mail sorting space and one in the area with your supply closet. Perhaps in your dressing room and/or Charlie’s dressing room. In Charlie’s office in front of his desk for visitor seating. An occasional chair is perfect tucked into a corner, flanking a sideboard/console, next to a fireplace, by a little side table or chest... so many possibilities! You’ll find so many places for your revamped chairs to shine!
Another nice video! You are both such an awesome couple! Thank you Charlie for sharing how you prepare that amazing roast. And Josie please give us the recipe for the banana bread.
Josie, thank you for all the wonderful content you bring, a ray of sunshine! Love it all! Charlie, the do it all man! You two are very busy bees! xx 🥰💖💕
For years I watched RUclips on the TV and didn’t know how to like or comment. My 10 year old has recently shown me how to like when watching on the TV 🤣. Now I make sure I always pop on my phone to leave a comment where I can as being a fellow RUclipsr, I know how much of a difference the support really does make. ❤️ I’m excited for your next play button Josie 😁.
When I first saw you near duck house I thought you had started to clean the pond, waiting for the day when your pond's water will looks blue, I always love watching you doing all your house work by yourself, and it's little bit sad that there is no video for tomorrow but I feel you also need some rest and your personal me day.
I just love the new “old house”/ decorating/ kitchenware/ gardening/ walks in the countryside/ sausage dog content! And the cooking bits just make it even better! I’ve always enjoyed your fashion/beauty content, but I finally subscribed once you moved to your new home and added content I enjoy so much! I really have to adore content before I’ll subscribe. I am now subscribed to a grand total of 3 channels. One of my favorite things to hear now is, “Good morning my darlings!”. Your vlog always brings a smile to my face and such positivity and restful energy into my day. Thank you for all your hard work and for sharing part of your life journey with us:) *I love it when you and Charlie appreciate each other’s hard work and compliment each other! It’s so beautiful to see a lovely couple building their relationship in such a positive way!
In the early spring ponds tend to be with more algae naturally. When you have a part of it with plants they will be able ro clear it up in time for summer naturally 😊
Well I do hope that you and Charlie consider having a cookbook at some point whenever things slowdown for you both in your epic historical home. xx Again, can’t thank you enough for letting us into your world of England. We’re from New England. You are both very welcoming with your presence.
Josie you are a lucky lady to have a husband like Charlie who cooks such delicious meals and the gold metallic paint on the chairs is absolutely gorgeous!
As a Kiwi living in London - I understand what you mean by getting slightly emotional. :) Many thanks to you and Charlie for showing these snippets into your daily life, such a treat.
I don't mind coming to eat Sunday roast in the Coach House Restaurant cooked by the famous Chef Charlie. You both are amazing. Thanks for sharing your home with us, Josie 💜💜
Hi Josie, What a clever idea to mix the colours...as I am an artist, this is just what to do... its fabulous!. Your Roast dinner looked superb...it made me hungry... your house has lots of secrets to share...what fun for you and Charlie
I really like Charlie, I didn’t like him that much at first back in 204 when I started watching your RUclips channel but I can see now that he is very hard working and polite and very very sweet.
Catching up on vlogs due to a busy spell. Loved seeing the garden updates😊 The duck house 🦆🏠 looks the perfect shade now you’ve made it a little darker. An epic roast! Cheers for all the tips 😁
Passive income idea.... PDF printable version of Josie and Charlie recipes. 99p x 484000 potential customers =.......! And that is just 1 recipe. Love the brolly with the table, very 1920's vibe and loved how Dexter followed you all over the place while you were sanding and painting the second chair. You guys are joy to watch. Tell Charlie he is a certified Roast Master and thanks for the tips. My gran taught me to fluff the potatoes with a fork. Am definitely trying the colander tip next time. Life's too short to fluff a potato with a fork!
Again "smiling the entire time video". Josie thank you so much for the refreshing and keeping it real video. I stopped watching and unsubscribed to a couple of YT'ers that totally lost touch with their audience about two years ago. People want to relate and feel a part of the content. Where you live is a totally different vibe than where I live, however the daily tasks, unboxings, garden and cooking tips and working together in relationships we can relate with. Keep it simple and loving as you do and your audience will build. I feel like family (LOL).
Best 39:17 of the day! Thank you for taking us on this adventure with you and Charlie! 😍 I absolutely love the content. Can't wait to see how everything looks in a year or so! Stay happy and healthy. Much love from Germany🥰
Wow! The pink garden parasol is wonderful, so dreamy with the gold hearts and tassels moving in the breeze, a great find! Chairs look great.. almost as good as Charlie's roast dinner! I have used duck fat for the potatoes and it does make the best baked spuds...have never made Yorkshire pudding but I think I will be now.. Yum 😋 thanks for the tip!
Hi Josie & Charlie I'm really enjoying watching the vlogs of you both in your fabulous new home. You deserve all the good luck that comes your way as you both work very hard at updating and putting your own individual stamp on your 'Forever home'. Love it ! Best of luck on reaching the 500k .
Hi guys, what a brilliant video. My tummy is rumbling now for a roast. Charlie’s roast looks spectacular. Really enjoyed watching both of you in the garden as well. Your home is so beautiful. I know this is a older video but can’t stop watching them. You are a lovely couple. Take care. Yes I am glad we are able to get about again after the lockdown. Xx
As an amateur foodie, I thoroughly enjoyed Charlie's cooking segment, both of you are such gifted cooks! Josie your scalloped camisole is the cutest thing! I wonder if the gold-accented chairs should go into the second house, you know what's best, they really came out lovely
Tip for most lush carrots: boil them with sugared water til the water is nearly gone then add the butter. It basically caramilses them, delish!! Thr roast made me soo hungry 😍
I have a large pond on my property and we messed up the first 2 years here. Let me share what I have learned the hard way! There are chemicals that are not harmful to the animals...you have to use them as the algae and lily pads will take over and can harm the fish, frogs, turtles, etc. they will not be able to breathe! The tablets didn’t work for us and neither did anything natural. Invest in an aerator as it will move the water reducing bad bacteria and decrease plant and algae growth. You can add a fountain (with a light!) which is nice. adds sound, water movement reducing plant growth and attracts birds and some animals. The egrets, herons, and ducks love when the fountain is on not sure why. You’ll need a rake and pool scooper thingy to pull out the plants that start taking over. If the sun hits your pond a lot of the day, that will increase the lily pad and algae growth and the crazy stuff at the bottom! Don’t get me started...but enjoy it! 😀
Hi Josie, just picking up upon what you said about New Zealand. We too in Guernsey Channel Islands are the only place in UK now to be Covid free for over 40 days. We echo New Zealand in terms of our island getting back to normal. All pubs and back to normal as of Saturday coming. It was quite interesting as our Deputy of Guernsey Health Services did say that we adopted many decisions and movements from New Zealand, and we are the first to now have no cases. Travel is happening however there is now 2 week self isolation needed once landed...so all good:) you and Charlie will have to pop over one day, I'm sure you both will love it! Sadly our sister island Jersey ( as in Jersey Royals) sadly has not been as effective upon there strategy as us...but fingers crossed for everyone Xxxx take care ❤❤
You have a great guy in Charlie and he has a wonderful girl in you. I had a french marble table like yours but a workman pulled the top without realising the top wasnt attached! I no longer have the remains. Best wishes. John
So lovely! May I suggest when retailers are open again that you both sign up to an Aga cooking workshop\ demonstration most Aga dealers will offer them - that way you will learn so much about the versatility of an Aga ! Absolutely nothing you cannot cook in them, just need to learn how to control the temperature by putting metal shelves into oven to lower temp. I was brought up with an Aga and had one in our own farmhouse , nothing makes a home like an Aga! I can see Charlie already knows the benefits in cooking roasts ! I’m loving watching you both set up home in your rural retreat , 👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@nehajaiswal2413Agree with you. It was literally only 2 minutes after she uploaded the video and I saw dislikes already and the video is 39 min long! Insane how anyone can dislike so fast...only signal negative energy from doing so.
@@Katrine_Green I agree. Some people are a little too green...I absolutely adore Josie's channel. They are so well done and aesthetically pleasing. Plus, they are just the sweetest couple!
Oh it’s the people who have deemed themselves anti. Sort of wish they would leave her be and focus on themselves and why they feel the need to try to ruin her - in my humble opinion, it’s basic common hating. Not a good look but they are free to click dislike just as I am free to click like.
Epic roast and Yorkshires, making me feel homesick. I am from Yorkshire but now live in the South of France. Great to see you working together so harmoniously.
How sweet of you to get emotional about us here in New Zealand , we are so proud of ourselves to be truthful. To at last have our Rugby back live, hubby and I opened a lovely NZ wine and binged watched both Saturday and Sundays games. Wonderful video as usual, loved the cooking segment!!! Yum yum yum xxxxx
Love The Vlog Josie!! The Duck House Looks Amazing!! The Oriental Umbrella is Just Stunning!! You Look Gorgeous as Always!! Thank You For a Fabulous Video!! Sending Much Love!!
I understand that in UK it will be difficult to be in a positive mood all the time due to the weather. But here, in Ecuador, southamerica, the Middle of the World, we usted to have beautiful sunny days. But from october to may que also have rainy days, althoug de mornings the sun shines. I remember when I was in London, in december 2000, it became dark at 16:00. Warm hugs from Quito, me and my son love your handsome dogs. Blessings.
That Roast looked amazing.... Great job Charlie!! And can I just say again how magical your house is.. nice job on the duck house too... just loving these vlogs Josie xo
If you’re ever in South cotswolds defo go to Wotton under edge! Its a super cute town, I think you would love it! Plus my Mum has a homeware and gift shop there xx
Love your vlogs. I usually start my mornings watching it and having my morning coffee. I see you work so hard with cleaning the pond. All you need is a grass eating fish - it will do the job perfectly.
Wonderful video love the duck house 💖🌸 and Thankyou Charlie for wonderful roast tips ! 🥘 🥘 i love watching good cooking videos as there are always more wonderful ideas and tips to learn ! wishing you both fun Love Aleia 🌸💖
Enjoyed your vlog sooo much. Charlie has a great bod! The duck house, chairs and cement planters turned out perfect, so pretty. Charlie's meal looks scrumptious! Take care 💕

Xx
Thanks for sharing y'alls days with us. You're addicting to watch.
Oh my word Josie your house and garden just fills me with joy!! I can only imagine how you must feel living there 🥰🙏
Charlie's roast dinner looks amazing and those Yorkshire puds are epic 😮
As an amateur foodie, I thoroughly enjoyed Charlie's cooking segment, both of you are such gifted cooks!
Josie your scalloped camisole is the cutest thing! I wonder if the gold-accented chairs should go into the second house, you know what's best, they really came out lovely
Tip for most lush carrots: boil them with sugared water til the water is nearly gone then add the butter. It basically caramilses them, delish!! Thr roast made me soo hungry 😍
Charlie is amazing, a chef and gardener. What’s not to love.😀
DARLING , YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN TO SAY ONE THING ABOUT CHARLIE . HE IS " HOT ! " WHAT A VERY FORTUNATE YOUNG LADY JOSIE IS .
Yes indeed - an aerator and cleaning tools will be essential for a healthy and happy pond! After adding that - you could add fish too!
Agree. You defo need something that aerates. A fountain pump (from any nursery) will be perfect.
I would have had that green paint all over my shorts! x 😊
Loving the home vlogs Josie - your garden and home is beautiful 🥰
I love your videos Josie!!! They give me so much positivity and reminds me that I ought to do more with my time 😭
Also I am dying for that parasol!!! Loooveeeeee 💕💕💕
Yayyy! Finally, details from Charlie about his cooking! Thank you, Josie 🤗😍 Thank you, Chef Charlie😋🤗
How can people give dislike just few minutes in the video? Will never understand
Offcourse I never find anything about disliking in her videos.
It has to be just exteme jealousy. I've never seen one video that i didn't love!!!
Oh it’s the people who have deemed themselves anti. Sort of wish they would leave her be and focus on themselves and why they feel the need to try to ruin her - in my humble opinion, it’s basic common hating. Not a good look but they are free to click dislike just as I am free to click like.
Need Charlie cooking for All of Us more....a delight watching your "Forever Home" come to Life... Thanks🦆🦢
Epic roast and Yorkshires, making me feel homesick. I am from Yorkshire but now live in the South of France. Great to see you working together so harmoniously.
The food in the South of France probably isn't so bad either? 😄 But yeah, nothing like the food from home!
Love the color you created for the duck house! 🦆
Been loving watching these everyday! It's so lovely to watch the house transformation bit by bit 💖 xx

Blessings.

WOW! Charlie needs a cooking channel!😁💞
Love your vlogs. I usually start my mornings watching it and having my morning coffee. I see you work so hard with cleaning the pond. All you need is a grass eating fish - it will do the job perfectly.

Butter stops Olive Oil from from burning and adds a fabulous flavour to the roast potatoes
Enjoyed your vlog sooo much. Charlie has a great bod! The duck house, chairs and cement planters turned out perfect, so pretty. Charlie's meal looks scrumptious! Take care 💕
