The 1950's house, painted green. The paint has to be flat on flat paint. I think they painted over the dark green, which could be an oil base paint. They have done away with oil based. Hope this helps. I'm a grandma. Love watching you.
Thank you Ethan for revisiting these two homes. I remembered somethings but really missed a lot. I am always impressed how you show each home and how respectful you are. You are very good at what you do. 😍
I remember this firsts house, the kitchen!! It’s amazing how quickly it’s deteriorating- incredible once the heat and air are turned off. Love both of these. The second house is wonderful. The mid century - gotta ❤it.
Shame they have to tear these down but they are in rough shape. I enjoy revisits because it shows how quickly abandoned houses decay so thanks for sharing
Good to see u Ethan, haven't seen u in awhile. Don't feel bad 4 taking personal time. Me time is important. It's a reset a restart. Taking time to breath. My grandson just started his channel & I cautioned him about about being in overdrive for success. Take time to breath, evaluate, rest. Burn out is a terrible thing to endure. Love the redo on this house. The kitchen was awesome red sink & all. Much luv Carry on.
Nice to see you back Ethan...missed you ....remember these houses ,nice to revisit them ,lots of good features ...its OK to take time off ,hope you got it all sorted ....looking forward to warmer weather ..England's cold but no snow yet ,unlike yours🥶 ..stay safe well warm and happy 🤗😘🤞
Love the revisit. Remember, both of those homes. You can tell time is getting to them. Thank you Ethan. You always give us the best you can. Can't wait to see the new stuff!! 😊
Someone destroyed all the good parts of this house. SHAME ! HEART BREAKING! Your probably right about the paint come back with a light . We want to see so much more
I love revisits and if you do it, will love the befores and afters too! You're doing awesome! Thank you! It's changed so much. I'm surprised the lights haven't been smashed.
I remember this house! The kitchen is unique. Pops out with the red sink and black and white floor. That curved bench is perfect for morning coffee A great revisit❤ Can you do a link for our first Visit?
Revisited streams are just as good as regular abandoned places.. I don't know what it takes to making a video but it would be amazing if you did a side by side of the revisited place's youve been to.....Regardless no matter what place you show we will still watch your videos💜💚💜💚
Those cabinets in the 2nd house I’d love to have those in my kitchen!! Hopefully they are salvaged. I can’t stand when the “idiots” destroy things what do the get out of it. The paint peel is because it was damp or prepped wrong
The first home I loved the kitchen, the den, and the vanity in the bedroom. The second home I loved everything. Excellent video and thanks for sharing.
I remember those two cool houses. I love the retro bathroom in the first with the green fixtures and the still shiny tile and that wooden door with etching in the glass. One doesn’t find those neat little things anymore. The red kitchen sink seems like a 50’s thing
First house I wonder if there was a leak over the Green paint peeling room. It did seem the sun porch was a later addon. The places where both roofs meet could have leaked. Thanks for the revisit. Stay safe Ethan. Many blessings to you. 🙂
Sorry my comment added itself before I was done. Love the layout of this house. Garage attic tres creepy. Remember the sunroom with the jacuzzi in the second house and the stone on the inside and outside and fireplace. Love all those vintage light fixtures. So many today are too flashy. They just don’t make anything like they did in the past. It’s neat to watch revisits and notice things one didn’t notice the first time around. And YES I would enjoy seeing some of the properties after demolition and to view the monstrosities newly built. Thanks Ethan for another fun tour. Take care and keep safe.
I don't mind some revisits, they're fun to see again. Also sometimes sad, when you see a house get trashed. But I still enjoy the content. How are things going with the house you purchased?
Glorious black, mint & pink bathroom in 1st house, love it. The 2nd house with it split level flooring and interior brick walls are everything! MCM houses should be treasured 😢
On your revisits, will you please put a link to your original video in the description? I really like to watch both to see how the house has changed from the first visit to the revisit. 🙏
The first house is one of my favorite houses you've ever explored...It breaks my heart to see it in that condition. The second home still looks so good 🥺
My childhood home (built in 1950) had a ceiling light like the one in the paneled room. You could actually pull it down or push it up to adjust the amount of light. It was so cool, until my non mid century loving sister took it down and trashed it!
WOW THE 1951 MID CENTURY HOME WAS STILL INTACT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS VANDALIZED. TOO BAD BOTH HOMES FLOODED. THE 1960'S SPLIT LEVEL HOME WAS PRETTY NICE! LOVE THE BRICK PLUS THE COVERED SUNROOM EDITION WITH HOTTUB. IT WAS QUITE BIG. GLAD YOU WERE ABLE TO GET THROUGH THE GARAGE.
OMG! This was the house with the cool Mid-Century Modern clock in the basement! Man! I wish it wasn’t flooded. I would have loved to know if the clock was still there. Not that you could do anything about it though. My mom collects old MCM clocks & I showed her the original video from 5 months ago…she wanted it so bad! 🤪 I hope it was saved. 🤞🏼🙏🏼🥰
That tile might not have been asbestos. I lived in a house in Connecticut that had (still does) nearly identical tile in the foyer. It tested negative for asbestos. For reference, the house in CT was built in 1952.
That kitchen is so 1984... with the checkered tile and the red sink. There might be another layer of paint behind the green that is behind the peeling paint.
That was a 65 years old Hardhat. Should have kept it. Would have been the original owner used it. It and everything you showed us will land in a big bin for the dump. I watched a 100 years old place near me went through same situation and I was buddies with the renter. He left most of his furniture and fridge stove etc etc etc The developer ONLY saved his 70" tv. The rest was crunched up by the claw thing, INCLUDING the 100 years old claw foot iron bathtub that had no scratches. The paint you asked about; The latex chit flies off the wall as soon as the furnace stops running and moisture level goes up. The green underneath will be Oil based and sticks like glue despite being rained on inside the house.
🙌 Another killer Upload 🙌 Nothing But The Best CONTENT 💯 When Ethan is On RUclips 🤗 much love & blessings from San Antonio Texas 😇 You should look into HUNTED Abandoned Mansion 😁
The paint is peeling because the old paint is oil based and the new paint is latex based. I think you’re supposed to use a special primer base before you put latex over oil base or it’ll peel off in sheets like that.
You have my hoodie I like on again :-) Florida color.....u always bring us great videos!!! Love ya dude. Alot of snow. Lots of terrazzo here in FL back then. Yes, u right about paint, green original,
Ethan, so the original owners character you?! How amazing is that, to know your videos are reaching out a good distance, cool (my opinion) I'm a summer baby too lol but I was born and raised down here in Florida 😂 any degrees lower then 70 is freezing 🥶 to me 😅 I need to apologize to you for a comment I left on a different "revisit" vandalized house (3 mansions in a culdesac) I was upset, but had NO reason to take that out on you. I love your revisits, I love "following" your explorer tours, and I'm truly sorry for being a brat. Thank you Ethan for your revisit.
I think that light green was either cheap paint, or somehow incompatible with the dark green under it. I doubt the dark green was original. The light green would probably still be fine if it hadn't been allowed to get really cold. The cold makes paint peel. Another thing which makes paint peel is humidity, which there is surely a lot of in those houses, with those flooded basements with a foot of water in them. That's why you keep the electric on, so the heat and the sump pump will run.
Once the power goes off it will go quick with out climate control. Or windows being broken, doors being open. Anything like that will speed up the process of decay way faster.
I’ve had paint peel right away. Not from weather. My guess is the wall might not have been prepped well or maybe there were smokers and the walls were damp. The later happened to me. My dads a smoker, I didn’t prep the walls so the paint peeled. If you didn’t touch it it was fine but as soon as you did…peel. Could also be different types of paint. My brother is a painter. He’s told me that you have to use the same type of paint. The green was original probably
U really must have an assortment of hooded sweatshirts. It was nice to see those 2 homes. The first home showed a lot of wear. The green paint under the white was probably the original, but definitely a better quality of paint than the white. That could be the reason the white paint was peeling so badly. I poorer quality of paint. Good quick job. At least no spider webs. Lol 😂
Yo Minnie✌ less re-visits please, Also i love when you rattle on (talk talk about anything especially the weather) Also how's your house coming along??
I love that kitchen and the laundry tube I would love to sit there and Peele that paint off the wall would be really satisfying for some stupid reason but yes that would be the original green 🍏
First house is nice. Second is kinda creepy. Heard that bang, weird. Stupid vandals, they are such assholes, no respect. Looking forward to your new videos Ethan.

This is a beautiful home the layout and all even from that time period 💪🏾
Thank you again 😊 ....that second house was freaking me out a bit .take care everyone 😁
They must have been great houses in their day. Love the glass door knobs in the first house.
Revisits are always great ☺️👍
Some of the light fixtures in these homes are to die for.
I like it when you revisit them in ty first house love the retro kitchen and the last house I just love it all.
I love whatever you visit or revisit as you always do such quality explorations.
Great to hear new places will be explored soon!
I like the second house its more open with lots of light wood features. I love those grey stone wall, lovely split level Thanks Ethan
Love your videos, you have found some cool houses and shared this with us. Thank you.
Reality liked both houses sun rooms!! Second house was cooler!! Thanks for sharing!! 💖💖💖💖💖

Yo E definitely a good revisit totally awesome location sending love from central Florida
Interesting, would be nice to deep clean.a little maintenance details. renovation. 😔
Glorious black, mint & pink bathroom in 1st house, love it. The 2nd house with it split level flooring and interior brick walls are everything! MCM houses should be treasured 😢
Construction guys wear those hats. I love the way they redid the kitchen; it looks like the inside of a Johnny Rocket diner.
On your revisits, will you please put a link to your original video in the description? I really like to watch both to see how the house has changed from the first visit to the revisit. 🙏
Ethan; that second place gave me the creeps bad.
Agreed. Gave me the creeps too. Hear that loud bang?
AWESOME!!! I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
The first house is one of my favorite houses you've ever explored...It breaks my heart to see it in that condition. The second home still looks so good 🥺
One of the things I really appreciate about Europe is that there, old is valued and kept alive.
That hot tub sort of spoils that sun room in the 2nd house. Great video, Ethan. Thanks.
Love the kitchen !! Thankyou for shutting the doors lol ocd too! Thankyou for another great explore x
I like your pink hoody! I like the revisits. Always see something I missed the time before
Hey Ethan, I like your hoodie
Me too.
My childhood home (built in 1950) had a ceiling light like the one in the paneled room. You could actually pull it down or push it up to adjust the amount of light. It was so cool, until my non mid century loving sister took it down and trashed it!
I enjoyed the video very much .👍❤️🇺🇸
Those light fixtures! Wow!
THANKS!🌻😊
Great video again , thanks Ethan x
I never saw this house so thank you for revisiting this house
Nice revisit! When I started watching you, you had less than 10k subs. Congrats on nearing 100k!
Thanks for the tour. I don't believe I've seen these before.

Looking forward to seeing your new videos Ethan

omgoodness *contacted 😂 not character
Some one needs to Fix the roof and water proof and save it.
UGH !!! An indoor pool ! Yuck....
Loved this house both times
I like revisit when you were first there that's when my dad passed away so I remember this one x

I kinda remember the first house. Does the basement have funky colors and designs on the wall? I do remember the 2nd one.
Hi Ethan, the mansion designed by architect Jack Winston has been demolished??? xD I really like that mansion, it's my favorite on your channel. ^^
it’s being renovated.
No cheese! Loved it!!

with the basement flooded the moisten is causing the paint pill.

I'm so glad that bathroom is not being ruined I love that bathroom
Yes green was first
The kitchen seems 80s to me. The house seemed more 70s than 50s to me. Like the Brady Bunch house.
Can you not contact the proptry owner and ask about buying some things from this house...
Sure would be nice to have this place in Memphis Tn
Thank you for letting us know
Holy Cow look at the water i the basement, what a shame
Yup I remember this house and the second one
On the paint
Cant wait for what's coming...
First house is nice. Second is kinda creepy. Heard that bang, weird. Stupid vandals, they are such assholes, no respect. Looking forward to your new videos Ethan.
Have you ever gone into an abandoned home and found somebody sleeping in it?
yes
