- Five people, including a seven-year-old girl, died while trying to cross the English Channel in the early hours of Tuesday, French officials have said.
Authorities said the victims were trying to get to the UK on an overloaded boat carrying 112 migrants.
Several search-and-rescue operations are under way to find survivors.

China makes them and the smugglers provide them, it's criminals that get them a seat on the boat after they pay thousands, thousands earned through criminal activity in the EU. The real question should be why have we never heard about any investigation into the people smuggling these people, it's the same with Chinese on the US/Mexico boarder, it's not normal for Chinese people to make it to south america and then illegally cross into the US. The authorities are either not doing anything or are seemingly totally incompetent in finding these smugglers.
