the nerf is in that when the kit was first announced, months ago, it read as though Sith Eternal would get to keep all those initial buffs (taunt ignore, auto debuff dispels, protection recovery, etc) after Bane dies. Content creators made videos touting what a wonderful thing it was and the community rejoiced aloud that SEE would still be protected should Bane fall in battle. It was one of the major selling points of Bane as a SEE lifter and Wat replacer. CG had over 4 months to set the record straight if indeed we had misread the kit, which they didn't do. The only conclusion to draw from that is that they initially intended to make those buffs persist after Bane's death but at some point decided against it and are now trying to weasel out of taking responsibility for the nerf.
Yeah and the thing is, the route they took makes bane almost worthless for SEE. You get only one sith ally that can die off versus wat + 3 sith to help SEE survive, and you get no lasting benefits. If bane dies in battle, it's over. SEE is going to die to just about anything
There is a section further up in the unique that says " when Bane or the other ally is defeated: the remaining ally gains 5% critical damage , offense, and potency plus additional 15% of these stats per relic level until the end of battle" . Everyone thought the persistent effect would apply this as well since it mentioned if Bane is defeated.
One point on the Biggs cron vs Leia is that Old Rex completely shuts it down. Also get ready to scream when you go against a leia with the protection up datacron. It is the most ridiculous battle ever where you will take almost 5 minutes just to kill leia
While I understand what you’re saying about how it’s more of a text change than an actual nerf, the fact that they put it in there shows they had intention of it meaning something. Uniques have always stopped working when the character is defeated, so there was no need to put it in there in the first place, other than to imply that the entire unique would persist. Especially considering that the omni only adds to Bane’s stats. Seems like intentional misleading on CG’s part. Also, with the malevolent whirlwind, there seems to be an error with the order of operations. Look at Sion’s AOE: it clearly says dispel first, then damage. And that will dispel foresight then deal the damage. So obviously they have errors they need to fix
The thing is, Bane is significantly less helpful to SEE without his unique persisting after he dies. The fact that it forces you to use only 2 characters and then doesn't keep you from getting healing immunity or giving you protection each turn is ridiculous Also i guarantee you the Bane DC is going to force you to use him with SEE in order for it to work 😂
This is some straight up BS on CGs part. Instead of admitting that the omicron was too powerful, they tried to gaslight their way into seeming like it wasnt supposed to apply to the first part of the unique. Anyone could tell it was NOT refering to the omicron specific part, since it just affects Bane. In doing so, they made sure that Bane doesnt get paired with SEE now, because its pointless if he cant do what wat did (ie effects persisting after death).
Part of me is happy I didn’t get bane right away. Next conquest I’ll unlock him, and if there is a nerf (hopefully there isn’t) I’d think it would be before then so I could consider bumping him to r9
“Ram and I looked into this:” does not inspire confidence. Sort of like the apes in the animated Tarzan movie, breaking the camp to create a cool percussion soli.

Interesting take.

Text about revive is there because Plagueis is incoming 😮

Most definitely.
I think they’ll just deactivate the omi if bane is the lead. That maintains the flexibility and would at least somewhat limit the nerf

That percussion soli was so ape-aling though!
@@ShawkaGaming dang it, that’s funnier than my original comment. Well done, jag.
