Not only do your meals look to be delicious, but quite nutritious as well. It makes sense that the best way to shop frugally is to find the most nutrition for your money, and the happy result is that you'll eat very healthily, just like you and Mike. A win, win!
Thanks for watching
All these dishes look very delicious. I have been admiring your small toaster oven for a while now and have almost saved up enough money to purchase one, I think. I can hardly wait to try your crustless quiche in my new oven. Like another commenter, I love the quality of Mike's photos. Diane in NC
Thanks so much
That looks delicious food. Was up since 4 this morning as we had 90 mph winds and it took down my shed and smashed it to pieces. Took ridge tiles and slates off my roof. Not really eaten today so looking at your lovely creations has made me hungry. Love your foodie videos.
Sorry to hear that
Those dishes looked so delicious! I'm going to definitely try the potato, onion and sausage casserole!
Thank you
I recently (2weeks ago) had a Hiatal Hernia surgery and I’m still on a liquid diet. You made me hungry with all that delicious looking food. Good job with it all. ❤

I like your twists on some of your standard recipes, especially the vegetarian pasties.
Thank you so much 😊
Everything looks delicious! I'm hungry now. Thank you for taking your time and sharing with us. 🇺🇸
Our pleasure!
That all looked delicious, lots of ideas to try, many thanks.
I had to make myself an omelette for lunch after watching this video. Great meals Jane and Mike
Sounds great!
The Tic Tok pasta looks so tasty! When we lived in England, we used to eat HobNobs and drink tea every afternoon. Thanks for the recipe. Now I can make them from scratch.
You can’t beat a nice cup of tea and a biscuit
I particularly like the tomato cheese pasta recipe simple and frugal
Me too!
I love your protein to veggie ratios. I always have more veggies on my plate also. Thanks so much.
Thanks for watching.
Delish! Those pasties looked amazing! I love a crust less quiche, I use cottage cheese in mine, it’s lovely. If you fancy a change you can make up cous cous, mix in an egg, then bake that before you put the quiche mix on top. Very filling but not pastry! I need to try the Tik tok pasta, is it Greek feta ? Just up my street lol. Love anything Greek lol. Thanks for the ideas. X
Can’t eat cous cous - wheat
@@FrugalQueeninFrance oh heck, didn’t think of that. Sorry. 😢
I LOVE this cous cous idea - brilliant! How do you know when to add the quiche mix on top please? Do you just wait until it gets solid enough to stay separate from the rest of the toppings? Also, how thick a layer - or does it not really matter? What a great way to add a bit of carb without all the faffing around with pastry!
@@andersonomo597 hi, you can make the cous cous base as thin or thick as you like and yes, I cook mine until it’s firm enough that the quiche mixture sits on top of it and not seep into it. Cooking times will vary depending on how thick you make the base.
Everything looked delicious! I’ve never had a pastie before, but I think I’m a fan 😋! Thank you for some ideas.
You are so welcome!
I'm in awe of how awesome your dishes came out and the filming really help showed that. Great job guys!!!
Thanks so much! 😊
Oh, I think I'll make a tartiflette tonight, Good alternative to the quiche I'm making for the others.
I have potatos wine lardons onions, fake cream and fake cheese...I'll give it a try.
I tried the ticktock pasta also (before going dairy/gluten free) and really liked it!
Thanks for sharing
Thank you. For the recipes jane,I liked the look of the crustless quiche and pastties going to give them a try
Thank you
Some lovely ideas Jane! We used to love Tartiflette when on holidays so will definitely be trying your budget version! Thank you!

Delicious
After watching your program today, I got real hungry. But now I have a lot of good ideas on what to cook . Thanks for sharing!

Loved the crustless quiche, I do something very similar in a pan on the hob, which is more like a frittata, had never thought of doing it in the oven instead, great idea.
Looks great Jane.
It was!

Could you show us how to put together the dough for pasties and pies? I grew up on store bought and have never made it please. You make everything look (and I m sure taste) delicious!!
In the RUclips search bar type frugal Queen in France Cornish pasties and you can watch an entire tutorial
Hi Jane the crustless quiche looks fantastic. Would I use six to eight beaten eggs
If you want, I just use four, it makes four portions for us.
I love anything with cheese
Delicious 👍🏻🙂
Thank you 😋
Loved the meal suggestions.. thankyou .
So glad!
Lovely cooking ❤
Thank you so much
Oooh I am definitely going to be making “ Tik Tok “ pasta . Great one for days when my energy levels are at their lowest and I bet it tastes amazing !
It’s lovely
Did you make the hobnobs with chocolate? I will bake them tonight I think... 😊
The cookies are a bit simular to anzac cookies I think, but there are coconut flakes in them besides oats. I got the recepy from a friend
No chocolate, thanks for watching
@@FrugalQueeninFrance allright thank you!

All look delicious!

Great meals & inspiration 🌷
Thanks so much! 😊
👍👍👍
Dearest Jane & Mike, Thank you, this will be my menu for next week! So looking forward to trying everything. Jane, what type of Greek cheese did you use in the Tik Tok Pasta? Sending love across the miles...❤️
Your food always looks so tasty:)
Thank you 😋
Goodness me, you can tell you’re a Cornish Maid, would you just look at the professionalism of that crimp on the pasties! I know these pasties were a bit of a ‘trial’ chuck it in and see recipe, but would you mind sharing how to make veggie pasties? My husband loves them, but each time I try they just don’t seem to work. Thank you for sharing your kitchen with us
In the future, I might
Jane - studies have shown that financial problems lead to stress which leads to inflammation which leads to health problems. Stress is “directly linked” to the six biggest killers -cancer, heart disease, liver disease, lung disease, accidents and suicide. For me this is a bit of a "Well, DUH" revelation - but it also shows how important it is to keep control as much as any of us can! Thank-you for your work, your videos are helping me, and no doubt many others.
Thanks for watching
The cookies look great. Did you dip yours in chocolate? Can you provide measurements for USA?
No I did not, they’ve got sugar in them. In Google, search grams to cups conversion.
Thank you for sharing your week's meals, great inspiration there. Maybe I've missed this in a previous video but do you wash your grease proof paper to reuse? I do and it works fine a time or two and saves having to buy that so often.
No I don’t. Food hygiene is more important that penny pinching.
I’ve tried cooking lentils and adding them to our meals but I’m having a hard time with the texture
I've had a few attempts at cooking dried lentils/beans/pulses but no matter how I try, they are always hard
So now I don't bother, I just buy canned - shop around on supermarket shelves, Asian shops and similar, there are various kinds - chick peas, green lentils, kidney beans, butter beans, cannelini beans, borlotti beans; and baked beans are just haricot beans in tomato sauce, put them in a stew and the sauce blends in
Yes, canned are more expensive than dried, but still cheap, and you don't have to cook them
I like chick pea salad
Also look for beans & lentils in plastic pouches, but they are slightly more expensive than canned
I make a crust less quiche with flour which almost makes a crust. I’ll try your version next time. The pasta with tomatoes and cream cheese also looks delicious, another one to try!
Here in the U.P. pasties are a big deal. They’re sold on every corner. You make them look easy. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching
What is golden Syrup?
In the USA and have never heard of it. Thank you.
I went to Google to see what Americans call this: light molasses.
Delicious meals. What type of gluten free pasta do you use?
Lidl’s
Thanks
Welcome
When you make your coleslaw do you use natural yoghurt? Should I put mustard or something in too?
Nope, just French mayonnaise
I *LOVE* coleslaw but hate the mess when I shred everything so I shred enough for several serves and just dress what's to be eaten right away. The prepared cabbage/carrots stay nice and crisp for several days - freshly dressed coleslaw beats coleslaw that been sitting for a while!
Yummy dears
Thank you so much
Ziet er lekker uit ❤
All nice recipes . My favourite are the Tictoc and crustless quiche . Looks very easy and fast to make . Still don't have an oven but will keep it mind.
Thanks for watching
Do you have a microwave oven? When my oven broke , I used my microwave to cook some things eg quiche. It’s a different sort of cooking but it can work surprising well. Good luck if you try it. Best wishes from Australia
@@janhaenell6311 No not at the moment cause I'm renovating my house while living in it so I live an extreem moderate lifestyle ( probably untill the end of this year if everything goes according to planning) , but thanks for the tip
Is the French Beer Gluten-free?
No but cooking it seems to be ok for me
@@FrugalQueeninFrance Interesting. That doesn't work for my husband. Thanks!
@@PenniestoDollars of course, it doesn’t work for everyone. My intolerance is wheat not barley.
Delish...
I am struggling to find the recipes , plz help thanks
What is the Greek cheese? Feta?
No, that’s a specific Greek cheese. It’s a generic Greek style.
