To be honest I’ve never liked the running gag of ash forgetting typings, buts it’s a lot more excusable here since he was able to use Gible’s moves in an awesome and clever way to come out on top.
I love how the teams so far are consisting of 2 old pokemon and 1 galar pokemon for Ash to gigantamax. Gives shine to both worlds and let's us see him use more Gigantamax pokemon.

It's just that Journeys has become one of the most controversial series in the pokemon franchise, even more than black and white and sun and moon. This series feels like a more natural progression of ash with less controversies. It's not perfect, but I've definitely felt more hype for this series than I ever did for Journeys.

Binged every episode of your SWSH Anime before this one again over the weekend to refresh myself, and I got to say this series is a rare instance a fan makes something just as great as the source material. You should feel proud of how many people enjoy this series. This is a great series I'm sad to see almost be over because while it’s not perfect, it’s very high quality & has a lot of care put into it.
Doing cameos like this is just perfection (okay, the option for his friends and rivals to directly experiencing the battles is still there. But nevertheless you've done a great job at placing them ^^)
I feel like that one will the finals of the galar league and then whoever wins battles Leon. I'm just hoping Zac has ash battle marnie and hop battles in the semi-finals so that both of them can have a full battle against their main rivals.

Once again, I am not a shipper but you cannot unsee the blushing at 7:55 (Gloria for Hop) and 12:31 (Marnie for Ash). Great plot, great battles, accurate character presentation, accurate past references, and return of Ash's infernape with its signature dig attacks and Super Saiyan Blaze ability, what else do you want? This anime will be more canon for me then the Journeys, no hate for it though.
Not gonna lie, the PokeJob intermission had me going "YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE! IT WAS SAID THAY YOU WOULD DESTROY THE MID-LEAGUE FILLER, NOT JOIN IT!" at first And then Zac wrote around it to tie into the league and even made it so that it never interrupts anything. Take that, Lost at the League!
Damn..this is sooo gooodd...Once again Zac proves why he is the man...doing what the Pokemon company couldn't and thats giving fans what they want..truly love this story and the structure of these episodes.. I wish every one of Ash's pokemon return here...in some way if possible..
It was pretty good league introduction. And all 3 major battles were solid. For example, Melony's battle was good at taking her ace - Lapras so early, and making Eiscue and Darmanitan more dangerous. Klara's was definitely a highlight so far. Also it was nice to see flashbacks from previous series here. And combination of old and current teams. But without the episode, where Eevee gets lost, this league will never be perfect.
We don’t need another getting lost at the league episode people. Although I wouldn’t mind like a breather where ash and Marnie a heart to heart talk before their battle and team yell tries to make ash miss it like in Journeys.

Not a bad start to the Galar League and it's awesome seeing Ash's previous Pokémon again. I especially like the eye-catchers that were used for your announcement for the Scarlet and Violet news like most big events like this do. It's also cool seeing May, Serena and Paul watching Ash from their respective locations as they remember all the times he's managed to surprise them with his out of the box thinking. And I like the jab Avery did with Gloria by calling Hop her boyfriend, much to her chagrin only to get clapped in the end. And let's not forget the brothers trying to disprove Sonia and Gloria's efforts on the legend of the Sword and Shield heroes. Looking forward to seeing more battles in the Galar League and Rose's plans for Ash.
I laughed during the Avery part. Zac did a "Alain vs Leon" moment done right where we see a character we WANT to lose get crushed by Hop. It was awesome.
My man Zac is doing what Journeys couldn't and I love it. Also I think it's awesome that he's having ash not only battle melony since he didn't get to her in the Griflet tournament, but also we get to see Hop battle Bea for real this time. Not mention the small cameos of people mentioned or returned in ash's battles as well as ash only dynamaxing his galar team since they're more used to it than his older pokemon. I'm just hoping that ash battles Marnie and hop battles bede in the semi-finals that way they can both have full battle against their main rivals. I've always considered Marnie to be ash's main rival while Bede is hop's.
If Zac does do that, I feel like he'll give Marnie and Bede the teams he gave them for his new teams for galar trainers video. Marnie would have Morpeko, Liepard, Toxicroak, Gothitelle, Toxtricity, and Gmax Grimmsnarl. While Bede would have Galarian Rapidash, Reuniclus, Mr. Rime, Gardevoir, Granbull, and Gmax Hatterene. Personally, I'd replace Granbull with someone else. Maybe Mawile, Florges, Orbeetle, Medicham, or Meowstic. I don't know; I just don't think Granbull really fits Bede even if he is supposed to be Opal's replacement.
Here for the premiere... and man what an experience it was. The Reserves are so great to see, everything I wanted and some... Can't wait for the next part!

I liked the fact that Hop is using his other Pokémon in addition to the main team so they aren't just forgotten. Trevanant doing so much work against Avery was nice. I also enjoyed Ash battling Melony here. That's one of the big things I hoped would happen since she's the only gym leader Ash didn't have an official battle against, and I loved that Centicorch was the one who got Ash that win. Finally I like how even though Gloria isn't competing in the league, you kept her relevant by giving her a Pokejob to do.
The battle quality and writing is somehow better than 90% of pok3emkn journeys. This feels official also. Great writing and I love how dynamic the battles are despite not actually being animated. A lot of hard work and love was put into this.
I love the Battle Frontier/Johto League vibes where Ash blends his new Pokemon with his older ones to make for great lineups in these battles! Shoot that Infernape return had me hyped up!!!! GREAT JOB!

Also the fact that Ash was using many of his old Pokemon in the battles, something he should have done in Journeys (not counting the episodes in Aim To Be A Pokemon Master). Great work on this.
What a riveting and excited start! Seeing Hawlucha and the Sinnoh bois returning was great, with all of them having excellent showings. Gloria being an upstanding citizen is always great, and I love the Scottish anger her character occasionally exudes. Also Avery got absolutely clapped after that taunt, Hop is great! And I like to see that perhaps that jest was more than that for Gloria, she likes Hop (and Marnie seems to like Ash). Overall a fantastic beginning!
Zac, outstanding work as always. You should feel really proud about this series. You are doing a much better job than what Journeys gave us. A good start to the league. Cannot wait for more episodes.

Infernape's blaze overpowers Dynamax, Rain, and type-disadvantage. Honestly, probably only Infernape could have done something like that while making it believable.

I'm always so happy with what you do with the dynamax battles - the only good ones we got in the anime were with gmax gengar, gmax charizard vs pikachu, and rillaboom
This was PERFECTION! Once again, doing what journeys could not. Ash vs melony was amazing, hop vs Avery was cool too, but ash vs klara was beyond legend! Infernape coming back got me hype and it’s blaze ability still amazes me! Also, ash using his old Pokémon for this was a excellent choice! Journeys should’ve done this during the masters 8! As for chairman rose, the darkest day is soon approaching. I look forward to seeing more ash used his ultimate team from your final ultimate team video. Solid props to you dude.

I loved how even though 2 of ashes pokemon were at a disadvantage to klara’s weezing ash still weld his ground and took it out with fairy’s biggest advantage a dragon type there was pretty much nothing disappointing in this episode so I can’t wait for the other episodes. This was a good part one of the Galar League the Preliminary round being Dynamax battles were good with Ash Hop, Marnie Bede Klara swordward and Shieldbert and the majority of the gym leaders making it to the second round I like that Ash was motivated by Hop to use his other Pokemon and that ash is using a mix of his Old and New Pokemon like Ash beating Melony with Buizel, Centiscorch and Hawlucha also the return of Ice Aquajet was nice now Ash has beat all the Galar gym leaders Hop beats Avery and then the third Round Ash vs Klara who is now playing fair and he uses Infernape, Gible and Dreadnaw I hoped you would’ve had Ash use Melmetel as it would do well against Posion types it was funny if Ash for a moment forget Dragon type moves aren’t effective against Fairy types but he still wins with Gible beating Galarian Weezing haveing Gible use Dracometeor on the ground to perpell it into the air and winning with Earth power Dreadnaw beating Skullipede with its GMax form before beat defeat by Galarian Slowbro also I liked how Ash reuse Infernape using Flarebliz undeground to destroy the Toxic spikes was good and using Power up punch while Klara seamed to be winning when Dynamax Slowbro but Infernape activate Blaze to boost it fire type attacks and eventually wins Ash the match with Klara excepting Defeat and now respect ash was good nice for having Gible and Infernape learn new moves and the Cameos of Dawn, Serena Paul and Reggie watching the league live was cool as-well way better than the Masters 8 so far.

I'm glad to see returning pokemon for the tournament, even if they're all BDSP/ Sinnoh pokemon so far, and showcasinging his past strategies. (ice aqua jet, flare blitz underground, and aiming a move at the ground or wall instead of the opponent to dodge, using Gible's favorite move) I'm hoping for pokemon from other regions to appear, too. I would have liked seeing May with Dawn and Serena, though. Why not have all of the coordinators together?

Gloria being an upstanding citizen is always great, and I love the Scottish anger her character occasionally exudes. Also Avery got absolutely clapped after that taunt, Hop is great! And I like to see that perhaps that jest was more than that for Gloria, she likes Hop (and Marnie seems to like Ash). Overall a fantastic beginning!

This was PERFECTION! Once again, doing what journeys could not. Ash vs melony was amazing, hop vs Avery was cool too, but ash vs klara was beyond legend! Infernape coming back got me hype and it’s blaze ability still amazes me! Also, ash using his old Pokémon for this was a excellent choice! Journeys should’ve done this during the masters 8! As for chairman rose, the darkest day is soon approaching. I look forward to seeing more ash used his ultimate team from your final ultimate team video. Solid props to you dude.

I loved how even though 2 of ashes pokemon were at a disadvantage to klara’s weezing ash still weld his ground and took it out with fairy’s biggest advantage a dragon type there was pretty much nothing disappointing in this episode so I can’t wait for the other episodes. This episodes rating is a 9/10

This was a good part one of the Galar League the Preliminary round being Dynamax battles were good with Ash Hop, Marnie Bede Klara swordward and Shieldbert and the majority of the gym leaders making it to the second round I like that Ash was motivated by Hop to use his other Pokemon and that ash is using a mix of his Old and New Pokemon like Ash beating Melony with Buizel, Centiscorch and Hawlucha also the return of Ice Aquajet was nice now Ash has beat all the Galar gym leaders Hop beats Avery and then the third Round Ash vs Klara who is now playing fair and he uses Infernape, Gible and Dreadnaw I hoped you would’ve had Ash use Melmetel as it would do well against Posion types it was funny if Ash for a moment forget Dragon type moves aren’t effective against Fairy types but he still wins with Gible beating Galarian Weezing haveing Gible use Dracometeor on the ground to perpell it into the air and winning with Earth power Dreadnaw beating Skullipede with its GMax form before beat defeat by Galarian Slowbro also I liked how Ash reuse Infernape using Flarebliz undeground to destroy the Toxic spikes was good and using Power up punch while Klara seamed to be winning when Dynamax Slowbro but Infernape activate Blaze to boost it fire type attacks and eventually wins Ash the match with Klara excepting Defeat and now respect ash was good nice for having Gible and Infernape learn new moves and the Cameos of Dawn, Serena Paul and Reggie watching the league live was cool as-well way better than the Masters 8 so far.

I'm glad to see returning pokemon for the tournament, even if they're all BDSP/ Sinnoh pokemon so far, and showcasinging his past strategies. (ice aqua jet, flare blitz underground, and aiming a move at the ground or wall instead of the opponent to dodge, using Gible's favorite move) I'm hoping for pokemon from other regions to appear, too.
I would have liked seeing May with Dawn and Serena, though. Why not have all of the coordinators together?
