That intro made me have Vietnam style flash backs to the "Days of our lifes" TV series.

I was going to with the RPMs and then decided to step up (down?) to the RD65 component set by Recoil. The sound is incredible. The tweeters are made of gold and the mids pound. I’m not sure how the RD65s compete vs the RPM265s. It was Robot’s video on the RD65s that won me over but damn, it looks like the RPMs are incredible too.

It's all about the application, the "top of the line" isn't always the beat fit for an install. Thats a trap people. get caught in a lot. That's why I'm trying to educate on how to choose. Teaching about specs, and reasons for choices.

The rose gold set by recoil is 119.99....but if your going spend that on the recoil.....the top of the line recoil the gold set 139.99 and as you have said they are beautiful...I bought a set the other day for my s10 build but ended up they are going in my daily driver to replace factory doors and piller tweeter .....and ordered a set of Arnold's by def bonce .....because I wanted a little more bass out put ......hope you are feeling well. ...

@@CarAudioEnthusiastsyeah me too ....really wanted go with there subs but don't offer much in a dual 4 ....and I have a jp23v1.5 mono amp I currently run at 1 ohm with a single 12in dual 2 ....but don't really want go down to 0.5 ohm load why I an looking to buy 2 12in dual 4 ...with at least 1000 rms ....

@@donaldwilcoxjr.5212 start with the vehicle, then the box that gives the right airspace for the drivers, then give the drivers the right power. the box matching the subs, is the main thing. if you get that right you can make a TON of bass on very little power. 1000w on the right setup will deliver a LOT of sound pressure.

@@CarAudioEnthusiastsI have a pretty good knowledge of this subject ...my current set up is a single dual 2 xr 12 ....in a 2 cubic foot slot port ....which is exactly what the sub manufacturer calls for ....I work maintenance on a college campus ....and have been doing finish carpentry work for over 20 years ....I built a dual 2 12in sub enclosure...slot ported ...from a set of enclosure plans for 4.5 cubic ft. Of air space ....my current set up not to brag but is pretty loud ....but as I have stated it's my project truck so before anything went in the cab I removed all the interior with the exception of the dash ....wire wheeled the floor pans to remove some surface rust ....primed it all ...then put 1 layer of heat and sound mat ....then added an additional later of sound mat ....floors roof back walls doors and took the speaker grills outta dash and done 2 layers of sound mat as far as I could reach in the speaker location in dash....made custom acrylic plates to change the size of dash speakers to a 3.5 in and same in back factory corners of the extended cab .....so that being said I have no rattles and the sound reproduction is very good because of this .....My theory on wanted 2 dual 4 ohm is to wire them to a 1 ohm load ....and to use to subs that are at least 1000 rms 2000 peak ....so that I know I never will be over powering them with the jp23v1.5....I have upgraded electrical ...big 3 ....racing alt. And really good frame grounds ....which is very important.....in making good power ....I have made 3000 watts according to meter ....I want to go to 2 12s because the box I made fills the ext.cab ....thing single 12 looks alright centered in extra cab ....sub pointed up towards the roof ....seems make the best sound I have found in an extended cab s10 ...port pointed forward ....this is the 2nd extended cab I have owned ....with upgraded car audio ....never intended to sell the 1st one I built but someone had to have it and at the time I had 2 young sons and with young children one can always use the money .....so now that they are 17 and 21 .....and knowing more than I did about car audio ....I am trying to build my dream truck ....as I can afford it that is ...

I just cant see these recoil audio being of any quality at all at the price of all there equipment. I watched lots of that underground dudes videos and I just get a bad gut feeling about the recoil stuff. This is just my feelings not any fact. IDK Im scared. Think Im about to drop 400 on some Morels. The crossovers sure look high quality though.

havent heard them in person, but a couple of friends have, they say good things, warm full, well mixed all around. But like focal, I think they are a bit over priced.
