      ​@@theslappablejerkand that Lego was from a box that clearly said 6+ so he is AT LEAST as capable as a 6 year old. Plus I saw my nephew who is 12 assemble a set that said 8+ so the Lego estimation is at least 4 years behind, so Jake is actually as capable as a 10 year old, and that's only 8 years away from being an adult so the wife is clearly just being overprotective here.

      I grew up in dangerous neighborhoods, so when the husband said "God you're so overprotective," I just assumed the wife wanted to keep her child safe in her neighborhood. At that point, even 13 is too young to be traversing alone imo.

      I was thinking that a person can't possibly learn how to skateboard in a day. If it was a bike, maybe, but definitely not a skateboard. Also, it's not like it would ship by the next morning anyway. Amazon isn't that fast

    I got a skateboard once when I was too little. I rode it on my knees, skinned my knee, ran home crying and left the skateboard up the block, where it disappeared by the time we came back for it.
