This was a great tutorial. Simple straightforward instructions. I love how you kept repeating the measurements. I made one for my sister while watching because you. She gave me a used serger for my birthday in January and I've barely looked at it. Today it's very hot outside so I watched you tube videos all day and was excited to see a video making a pillowcase! Great job.
There's actually an easier way to do this with less cutting. Cut the body on the fold 20 !/2" from fold toward selvedge and 27" long. Cut the cuff on the fold 20 1/2" from fold toward selvedge. Fold down one long edge of cuff 1/2" and press. Press cuff in half lengthwise, Serge the long raw edge of the cuff to one long raw edge of the body. The pressed edge of the cuff is laying away from the body of the pillowcase. Press after serving with the seam allowing going toward the cuff. After cuff is sewed to body, fold entire piece so the raw edges meet, right sides of fabric together. Serger across bottom and all along the long side of the case and cuff. Turn right side out. Fold the cuff inside the pillowcase with the 1/2" folded edge covering the serge seam allowance. Sew with sewing machine along this folded edge so the seam allowance is covered. Done! This method encloses all the serge edges near the opening and gives a very neat finish. All the exposed serged edges are inside the body. I don't pin either!

No nonsense, well explained, thanks!
Simple instructions and a great video. What are your settings on your Evolve . thank you.
I always use a large eyed needle and bury the ends of the serger threads. You can also use fray check.

Shouldn't the cuff piece be 10 1/2" so it folds down to 5" MrsMTMomma?
Do you have a video of this idea? Thanks!
Are you using a wide serge, narrow serge or double needle? Thanks
What machine are you using to quilt with?
