@@Weekendwarriorsmoto Our ride got buggered today(luckily I slipped a quick one in yesterday...) But it gave me the chance to prep my bike for next weekend. All that's left to do is watch the clock tick, load up and get there...
I've been riding for about 4.5 years now. And I have absolutely battled with clutch levers and hand/wrist pain (resulting in loss of control of the bike which is TERRIBLE as we all know). I've been through the rigamarole with clutch levers, including the Midwest. Due to me having smaller hands, it actually was worse than stock. I then moved to the AltRider MAC and holy smokes, it was absolutely LIFE changing. It double my ride time, and I even gained more control of the bike. It skyrocketed my confidence. I went from honestly not being overly enthused about riding to can't wait on getting out! These days I ride a lot, average 300-400 hours a year bike time, and being on a two stroke, honestly the clutch is probably one of the most important pieces of the machine you need to get right!
Great feedback! With only one ride so far on the Mac lever, I really like it. Looking forward to trying it on my 350 xc-f because I think it’ll be a big improvement. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
@@TwoWheeledAddict Whether you own Altrider or not, great write up…!! lol….I’m sold and am ordering one. Clutch is everything and one of the doors I’ve unlocked with the new Beta is dropping to 1 finger in the technical stuff. Having that middle left finger wrapped around the bar is a game changer for control and to be honest, this old man is blippin over rocks and logs like I never dreamed I would. Lookin forward to healin up and doin some product testing of my own. Thanks again.
@@rayvee482heck yes! The AltRider IMHO is the best choice for clutch at a reasonable price..unless you go with the RNDURO unit. Unfortunately it's just too pricey for me. 100%, for any kind of single track riding, one finger clutching is KING. You can't hold onto the bike at all with two finger clutching or braking once it gets rough. Heal up and get back out there! The other feedback regarding the AltRider I have, is it does somewhat "widen" the engagement area vs stock. It's not a bad thing by any means, and actually works even better for me personally. I am just not coordinated enough to stay in that 1mm ish engagement range for really precise clutching with my left hand. Especially as the ride goes on and ya get more tired!
I need to get one. My stock lever broke off at the indent so I’ve been riding with a shorty sanded smooth on the end. Haha. I need new hand guards too. The stock guards are next to useless. 🍻
Have you tried setting the clutch plates to the lower (easier) pull setting? I think I remember that stock they are in the middle setting, so can go stiffer pull or lower pull if you still need a lighter lever pull.
It was nice riding with you guys yesterday. Thanks for showing us around.
Sooo.... The truth comes out 😡.. PaiN's Rides isn't going to be your first 😢................🤣😂
Had a great time. We have to get to FRO next season with you guys!
Unplanned group sesh, Mike. You’re our first planned ride 😀. Just get here, already!

I think that you’ll like the altrider lever, Ray. Pricey but pretty sweet!
It is pricey but I don't regret my purchase at all
I agree!

No, I haven’t tried that but the clutch pull feels pretty good to me. I didn’t realize that could be changed so thanks for the info.
