I am always thrown for a loop when others talk about winter & winter fashion. We have had snow for almost 6 weeks and have already had several days last week of -30C! 🇨🇦 Winter fashion here is layering everything you own all at one time!!!😆
I used to live in Montreal and I miss it so much 😢😢❤ especially the winter weirdly enough. I hope you can still find a way to layer everything you own stylishly haha
Very cute outfits! It is fun to see you go so wintery-living in upstate New York I can appreciate you dressing for the cold weather! The puffer coat and vest were great, and who knew a cream colored beanie would be so versatile!😁 You looked great in everything! Honestly though, I really don’t feel ThredUp is a great value and resource! I find it so absolutely ANNOYING the way ThredUp values the clothing they sell at such ridiculously high prices when the pieces are 1) Second hand and HAS BEEN DONATED FREE TO THEM!; 2) Often from many seasons ago! They can ask what they want for their clothing…their prerogative!…but by always valuing the pieces at such high price points (Granted, they may have cost that much years ago, but you really do not get any great deals with them, it just APPEARS THAT WAY WITH THEIR ARTIFICIALLY INFLATED VALUES! It is much more economical to go to real thrift stores!! Anyone else agree? No shade on you Taylor-you did choose some nice things, and ALL the RUclips Thrifters utilize ThredUp!

@@justinatheodora The reason influencers use ThredUp is because they get the stuff for free so they will advertise ThredUp! Of course everyone else actually pays for their stuff and it tends to be quite expensive for what it is!! If there is a specific piece you want and you find it on ThredUp, then that might be worth it! But even with the influencers getting stuff for free, the pieces are older-significantly so, and the “retail price” they put on the clothing is no longer applicable..at least that is what I feel! You can do much better at a thrift store! Of course, if you only order one time, you can get $30% off for that first order and they do sometimes have a sale or percentage off! The thing is, the pieces are not like what you find on Poshmark or other consignment-type places (There they are usually newer and/or more trendy/valuable!). The clothes on ThredUp are usually just donated pieces like you would find at your local Goodwill-though at ThredUp you CAN search for what you want which if you find something you want, you can purchase it!
@@pjcullinane2011 whenever I search for specific items it comes up no results. I agree with everything you wrote. Part of the reason I'm not impressed by them is bc I'm an avid thrifter. I can see how people who arent thrifters might think thredup is the cats meow.

What a precious find! The leather skirt outfit is my favorite. It fits you like a glove and is the perfect length and so modern. The puffer vest is really cute. I thrifted one almost 3 years ago and think it's actually really fun to style up. Great video and thanks for the thrifting inspiration!

So here for the peep jacket! I have a bright pink teddy coat that turned out to be surprisingly versatile and I wear it all the time! It just makes me smile, especially in winter. I call it my carebear jacket 😂
I am in SHOCK!! when you pulled up that white vintage express sweater, I instantly knew I have the SAME one in black, also second hand (and it was a steal!!)

Does anyone know anywhere good to thrift in the UK? My town doesn’t really have many charity shops so I can’t always find cute stuff I’m looking for :/
Heyyy... just incase any thrift newbs think that the neck trick actually works... it only works if you are a smaller size (like, less than 30" waist). This is because our neck circumference does not grade at half the rate that the body circumference grades. So this DOES NOT WORK if you are larger. For instance... if your waist is 40", a 20" flat waistband will likely be MUCH bigger than your neck. Most neck circumferences top out around 15"~16", even for plus sizes.
Personally not a fan of Thred Up- I think they are a total rip off if you are sending in items- I sent two huge bags once and they gave me $12, then after the postage, they said I owed them money- INSANE! I don't think so... I feel like they sucker a lot of "influencers" and Bloggers into tooting their horn, but they are horrible if you care about selling your items.
