Having tons of horsepower is awesome, but if you can't stop the fun usually ends quickly and in a terrible manner. Luckily Little Shop MFG came through with this MASSIVE 16" rotor, 6 piston caliper combo for the GTM 400 4x4 trucks. While we're on the topic of safety, Zac decided to add an FIA certified fuel cell, and a few other fuel system goodies from Radium Engineering.

"Probably don't want to see me on fire.....or maybe you do."
Zac, you're always on fire my guy.
Pump the brakes 😉
@@DavelyDriven LMAO
It's always hilarious when future-proofing one part (the fuel cell) leads to cutting out frame structure and converting the suspension type, I know he was going to do it anyway but that's the "rabbit hole" that T-Ray is always talking about lol you change one thing and it forces you to change a bunch of other things sooner than anticipated
Gary would say „what are you trying to stop with these brakes? The world hunger?“
Gonna hit the brakes and go back in time 😂
Into the future lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@lukethompson7970if by future you mean windshield, or back of the front seats.😂😂
nahhhhh stop time what u talkin bout
Hit the brakes and the earth stops spinning
Run hydro boost master cylinder. It applies more pressure than a vacuum booster and just runs off the power steering system for the additional power
You beat me to it 😅. I was thinking manual brakes with 4 giant 6 piston calipers would probably be quite a bit of pedal effort 😮
na properly sized manual master cylinder would feel just fine. assuming you like the feel of manual brakes to begin with@@tommyisrad131131
Would be relatively easy to run hydro boost off power steering
Going fast is cool, but sh*t happens. Zach spitting Facts
These brakes are huuuuuuuuuuuuge~ and beautiful. Good idea to dump the vacuum booster on an engine like that. But, you might consider hydroboost on a mamma with that much drama
I cant wait to see it stop 😃
Screw that, I can’t wait to see it GO!
It's gunna stand on tip-toes! 😂🤘
Its gonna do the opposte of LS George blazer... Its gonna pull stoppies
7:05 - had me laughing because it looks so like a forza build of stock rims, race brakes. Love its silly
Rear axle will travel rearward under compression if the shakles are in the rear as they are in most applications. It will push forward under accelleration but rearward when hitting a bump. It's close Hope it works out GLHF!
He's swapping to links he said bub they arc forward
Damn got big brake energy rocking on this one.
It's amazing how far Little Shop has come from their minitruckin days.....
I used little shop MFG for the onboard air system on my Duramax. Works like a dream. Awesome company
TBM Brakes would have been a better solution for this ride... truly no need for a 16-inch setup which limits the wheels you can use and makes you add more rotating mass on each corner.
Zac gittin gray on the temples and making good decisions on the fuel system......
Signs of maturity. Finally.
With those brakes you’re going to stop time period and throw off the time-line lol 😆. I’m loving the build and the content as always bro!
Zacs builds are always clean, can def appreciate
Don’t know if anyone else knows this but Zach’s old truck Boomhauer is up for sale in bring a trailer
2:38 *Chef's kiss* with the Beetlejuice cut scene. Nice one editor!
@12:32 That bushing reminds me of grandmas heel for some odd reason 😂
I've already seen square tire setup, but square brake setup is new to me. Really cool anyway!
Keep the stock wheels Zac, make it a sleeper
I guess the decent exhaust notes Zacs cars tend to have would take it away, probably a mile before you could get a glance at them wheels
Those aren't even the stock wheels, and they look crap
M.F.G... My Fuc*ing God that's a big brake kit😂
Adding lightness is a whole other conversation ZAC. 🤤🤤
This thing is going to be an absolute Beast!
Zac running the motha fuggin gangsta brakes
Those brakes are absolutely massive! I'm really enjoying this build series, it's gonna be such an animal once completed. 🤙🏼
I love my lt4 10 speed swapped 96 Tahoe I won from cleetus 🤘🏼this thing is going to be rad as a 4x4
Don’t forget the Loctite on those brake parts for final assembly. The mounting brackets.
Are the brackets for the calipers on the correct sides? the caliper bolts on the brackets looked off centre for the brackets
Zac is the king of chop
Little shop Manufacturing...i have the 16" 6 piston calipers front and rear kit for my 2 door..
This thing is going to be rowdy. But this is Zac so we already knew that! Killer build coming together
More please! 😮
Definitely don't want to see you on fire Zac, just fired up!!
I had a boss who had a full size blazer with a huge 632 aluminum big block making 1500 Hp that was street friendly,I watched him drop it in 4x4 low ,one day at a construction site where it had rained for 4 days ,& a fully loaded concrete truck got stuck up to its axles in the mud ..he backed up threw a chain on it and a tow strap ,and just pulled a 65,000 LB truck out on the first hit ,it was nuts ..😂😂😂😂
I was going to say Zac is the only one that finishes the project, but no uploads for weeks
Dang 16:15 no "Taps" happening editors?
Keep it gang with the content. I can't imagine the volume of media you've to process.
16” GYAT DAM
Big brake kit “adding lightness”. Love it
Makes me want to fix up my 99 denali. Love my obs
The billet stuff and the proper torque specs worry me but man that looks sick
the truck should look like Godzilla when it's done.
- 50" super swampers
- headers out the side
- blower out the hood
This is the sickest build on the channel… hell yeah
Weight removal < Adding lightness
Still Wondering about that turbo mounting position
This thing is going to be wicked
Little Shop FTW!
U have my favorite selection of cars of the group
Shimmy shimmy yah shimmy yah shimmy hey
- Gen. George Custer
When are we getting “ going fast is cool” t shirts?😂
Daaaaaaaaamn, the Music for this episode has some bass to it...Shits falling off the walls
Digging this more than you can imagine. Huge OBS fan!!
I had a 99 suburban. It was absolutely criminal how small the front rotors were. I was constantly ruining rotors.
Zach what are you talking about that's a 12 bolt rear end, 14 bolt differentials are full float 8 lug axles and don't use c clips to keep them in place. I think the burn tire smoke is finally hitting you.
Best project on YT
Try and get some custom lower control arms made that can still use the torsion bars
Hair still on point
Those rotors look insane
Can never have to big of brakes!! I have a 76 beetle with sti brakes! 😂😂
Everything is looking great. Nice build.
MFG calipers…. Stands for Mother F’n gangster lol…. Freaking HUGE!…
Good lord those rotors are sick. Ooofta.
Hey, bring back the "Garage, GaRAAAAGE" intro!
There is such a thing as overbraking. If you can lock your stock brakes, there is no point going bigger. Any upgrades are better aimed at reducing brake fade and improving brake feel. Better cooling, better pads, etc. Bigger is only better if it helps with thermal management.
Man, how did Zach know I've been listening to ying yang twins
Respect from the UK
Has The great Geary King Jr once said, "Wat you trying to stop, world hunger?"
RIP Chris Benoit🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
MFG'S AND A BFD !
Is that the same "Little Shop Of Horrors" from back in the days?
Brakes big enough to stop world hunger
I'm most excited about Zac's build. love his episodes
I know my expectations are not high even knowing I want ever get one but the truck your building is one of my must have or dream truck I need a 2d Tahoe ss 5 speed the factory style but love to have yours with that motor so hey man keep me in mind it really is a dream ride for me and my wife even got my kids wanting one there actually hard to find that some kid not chop up or clap out
Zac your awesome dude
So 17" welds and drag radials all-round =)
Motion raceworks sells the master cylinder..
The truck is looking sweet zac nice work 🤜👍
This thing is gonna be siiiiiick!🤘
I wish I had something like this for my 454 ss
I love this build!!! Gonna be So Damn Sick!!!
POV you watch the only person modifying a truck to put the appropriate brakes on their build.
They skipped the axle install in the timelapse for the rear brakes so i couldnt get a good look but does this kit address the issue of pad knock back for c clip axles in any way?
Is the mounting bracket the wrong way round on the front?
Hell yeah, Brother
Were the calliper brackets handed? It looked like the mounting fixtures were offset. If they could be swapped left for right, they might align negating the need for shims?
Your editor fucking hilarious keep going more
Who else seems like Zac looks like homelander lol
I love watching this series because I like the GT Tahoe cuz that's when they look good and because you put a Godzilla in there and that's the new universal swap who cares about the Ls
This is gonna be one of the best builds to date so sick
Keep up the good work.
Zac needs to hit up Beto from ONDGAS for wheels
Brakes bigger than my wheels :D
Did I miss an episode showing what was done to the front diff to make it stronger? And what about the 14 bolt aren't those usually 8 lug? Were the axle studs just redrilled or whole new axles? Those front differences are not known to be strong!
Well after watching the rest of this video, that is not a 14 bolt rear, 12 bolt, p
Big brakes aren't made big to stop faster.. it is to remain cooler under racing conditions...
When you press on the brakes they have to warm up to "peak operating range" before they brake well.. and unless you are doing a ton of braking like while racing they are not reaching optimal ranges... They have done tests on this with 4x4 trucks and big wheels and most of them only put big brakes on because they have the weight in the truck to reach peak operating ranges...
Something you might want to look into....
I believe that Dodge Viper truck had 16" discs on the front, if I recall. I only ever got to work on one and it was cool af. It had ducting to the brakes un the body work as well, prertty sure. This was lile 10 or more years ago
They were 14.96 inch rotors on the SRT-10.
what size wheels & tires did you finally go with? Did you have to trim anything?
R.I.P. dana 44 front
Imagine if these guys made an op v6 challenger and just to make it more challenging use the 3.5 not the 3.6 v6
