Seun stop bringing accomplished politicians who will hide abroad to tell us to be careful. Please bring the poor to tell you about their hunger and anger.
That is where the matter hangs. channels tv is a privately owned television that needs money to stay afloat. The poor will not have money to pay for the airtime. These accomplished politicians don't mind spending from their advantaged purses just to speak for their colleagues in politics. Where then is the Nigeria of the common man?
For me, even if the protest doesn't hold, this awareness alone has put the leaders on their toes. This actually means the power belongs to the people o
Protest must hold
Dey play. Which leaders did they put on their toes?
@@matthewmoses2786 so you don't see how perplexed the whole governors, traditional rulers, senators and other leaders are ?
Don't you see how they are running up and down telling their people to embrace dialogue?. If they are not afraid, let them go about their daily activities and just let the protest be.
@@ephanimhonitie6024 protest must hold
why are they afraid of the people I hope they said the power belongs to the leaders
If I were the president, I will come out and address my citizens.. Speak from the heart. The people are not robots, they will see through your truthfulness if there is any
My bad, the ways Nigerian politicians think is different. They feel that they cannot respond to our concerns because they don't want to be seen as weak and we would also undermine then. The president will not address us personally but other are speaking direct to our concerns but pushing a different narrative. Don't you why? They feels and know that our votes don't count, until our vote counts, we would be able to old them accountable.
Hahahahaha!! You actually think he has a heart
Tunde, you just nailed it: Nigerians are not so difficult to convince and talked to! Any leadership in Nigeria should be thankful to his Creator to lead in Nigeria because our people are so gentle and quick to forgive and give our politicians a second chance, a 3rd etc! We’re not a violent people politically! I’ve traveled alot in Nigeria and seen different tribes and people in Nigeria, different religions and cultures, we are not as divided as bigots and political infants tend to make it look!
A smart leadership that means well, whose principles have led to untold hardship, or increased the sufferings of the people, in humility can come out and speak to the people from the heart (without needing his ignorant and corrupt spokespersons eg Wike and Bayo to open their mouths and vomit nonsense and insults)! Am so convinced, that’ll go a long way to calm the tension in the country!
Even those supporting or making media rounds to defend the present government and its policies, know that the situation in the country is in a state of economic and social quagmire and it’s unacceptable in 2024!
One way of acting wisely is to
for the president to speak to the masses not from some useless scripted work, but from the heart!
We all know that since 99, let’s be frank, only one leadership meant well and that’s not ObJ, not even Jonathan but Yar’dua! Every other leadership ran the nation as though it was their own business and private investments! Corruption that we complained about during the military era, became institutionalized and implemented with impunity after May 29, 99: corruption even became worst than the known dictatorships before the 25years of democracy!
Tinubu, let’s face it and let me say this to you: we love you and we don’t want you to be the president that led the nation into present day Yeman, Libya, Sudan, but we want you to see this moment as a moment to write you name WITH GOLD, how? You can break from the *culture of taking the masses especially the poor for granted, and move the ship from sinking waters, take drastic decisions now! Let heads role in your government! Remove men you know that majority of Nigerians know to be masters of corruption eg Wike who respects nobody and talks complete trash! Remove your ministers and try them those that have embezzled funds. Address the price of fuel etc! Tinubu you still have much time!
My goodness. Mr. Speaker in blue agbada, I must confess , with your type still in Nigeria, there's a beacon of hope. Thanks for your line of argument and thought. Kudos👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💗💗💗
Who caused d more hardship. Is the government listening. Why are they focus on d bad in d protest. Let's focus on the leader to make a right decision. Fayose, please wastage is too much, get the basics
Thank you Segun Sowumi a million times. God bless your heart!
The price of agbado got me there... Well done seun.
Segun Sowunmi spitting facts!👍🏾
Fayose is scared of Wike and Tinubu
Apparently!
After viewing all the pressures coming down on our before now "heartless leaders" from the propose national protests by great Nigerian youths, and the positive response so far from the government. I believe Nigerian citizens especially the youths should give the government or our leaders a second or last chance to fix the country Nigeria as they have started working towards Positivities in their actions daily. Nigeria belong to us all, we can only have a country called Nigeria to have a better lives ahead. Youths have made their points very clearly n the leaders knows the strength of youths now clearly. So don't let yourself b use by anyone or some enemies of our well being as great Nigerians as they benefits more in such evil situations. God bless Nigeria! God bless Nigerian youths!!
A problem well defined is a problem half solved. A situation where a government believes there is no problem means they cannot be part of the solution. The government is not strategic in their handling of our socio-economic and political challenges. The government should see the chatter of demand presented by the youths as the statement of the problem of Nigeria and taylor thier policies and strategies towards the solution of these problems. The leadership continues pleading alibi, blaming past governments of current challenges shows they are bereft of ideas as far management and leadership ideas are concerned. They should organise periodic management courses for themselves. Strategic management is based on environmental scanning of current situation not history as this government wants us to believe.
Fayose stomach infrastructure is the part of Nigeria problem.
I am happy to see unity in the comment section. As he is talking about how religious and tribal divisions in Nigeria will hijack the protest, Nigerians are uniting on our demand for good governance.
Fayose should bury his face in shame. He's defending BAT in the face of the evil they have all perpetrated on us by destroyed Nigeria. BAT brought policies that took Nigeria several steps backwards. Why have they suddenly woken up? This man should face his efcc cases.
When there is violence in a protest, its either sponsored by government or the security agencies
Seun, can you please stop bringing ayo fayose to your program. He's not updated, but he's only saying rubies
They better make massive changes very fast because we the people are coming to reclaim what is ours. Much love Nigerian🇰🇪
Sen. Akpabio you’re part and parcel of where we are today. Your case over NDDA of which a lady exposed your corruption and bad influence over that authority was swept under the carpet. If Nigeria is working you should be in jail but unfortunately here you are No3 citizen of a failed Nation
From your headline of setting a N70k minimum wage and selling crude oil to Dangote in naira, it's clear that this is a positive step in the right direction. Let Dangote source naira to buy crude oil, instead of the usual practice.
I am a very proud Ekiti man, man of honor and integrity, will always say the truth and his mind and will never pretend and will know where Ekiti man stand . Fayose please remind them how Buhari and Emefele, brought Nigeria to were we are now, and the fact that people can no longer go to the farm
This guy is good, unlike that Ayo Fayose that could not manage a good sentence
He is so good...i can listen to him all day
Please what is his name. Feathers to his cap!!! 🎉. There's hope!
segun showunmi his name
I'm seeing Tribalism speech here Mr governor
It's not tribalism speech, it's a bitter truth
This man's answers are very sound and very educative. Please stop bringing people like Ayo Fayose on your platform.
Inviting traditional, religions rulers can't help Nigerians because they are just individual. Tinubu should do his best to Nigerians as a president and listen to the Nigerians their cry for hardship.
Fayose is not making sense. If people are unruly and dishonest, whose duty is it to keep them in check? It is the government. Nigerians are not worse than Americans, but the American government is working to keep order. Therefore, it is right to blame the government when there is no order. Fish rots from the head.
Seun, you should ask this man why the legislators are buying cars worth millions of naira. If only they have lived by example, everyone would adjust consequently. Practice what you preach GOVERNMENT
It's your job as well to ask those questions from your legislators. They represent your states and constituencies
26 years in a Government Job in Nigeria, 35,000
These northern Elites are wicked
That's why insecurity prevails in the North
aside govt wahala........who also asked him to pack many wives & children he knew he cldnt cater for with 35k?
Tinubu fell from the moon. He never participated in the APC government
He was only the National leader.
The Nigeria Press over to you,
The money this government has spent trying to prevent protests should have been channel into addressing the issues
First, it is easy for President Tinubu to say that the APC government, led by President Buhari since 2015, should be excused and that we Nigerians should separate this current APC administration from the previous government. This assertion is not only laughable but also absurd, as some of Tinubu's protégés were part of Buhari's administration, and some who served in the old administration are now serving in Tinubu's government. They are blaming their own party's previous government for running the nation down.
The more they speak, the more it becomes evident that Nigerians are being taken for a ride. Government is a continuum, and our politicians, irrespective of their party, must come with equity in their hands.
President Tinubu's team should stop telling us that the economy was on its knees before they came to power. The same rhetoric was used before they took over, and we are tired of hearing these excuses. The blame game is over; it is time to act. They should not forget that history has a way of recording events, and the narrative that "we can see what President Tinubu did in Lagos" suggests it should not be difficult to replicate success. The truth is that this current leadership is lacking, as evidenced by the performance of the cabinet.
Leadership is about influence, and we are not seeing it across all aspects of the economy with President Tinubu's cabinet's performance. The ministers keep telling us that they are here to speak to us about the President's agenda and are very passionate about it (for example, women affairs minister). However, the President's policies are not working, and it is not unreasonable for Nigerians to demand good governance. The government is taking us to a worse place than where we were.
The government's message of hope and restoration is fading fast, even under the foundation of "renewed hope." We cannot simply sit and do nothing as the country plunges into obscurity and doom. The government should rethink its approach going forward, as we demand tangible actions, not empty promises.
👌💯💯..I wish, can like this piece many, many times over ✅
Nigerian Port Authority should start charging in Naira as well
Tinubu is the petroleum minister yet he wants us to believe that he never knew Dangote was buying fuel from outside Nigeria. Na so oooo! So if Dangote didn't expose the Malta refinery they would have continued until the 20bn usd coy dies like our other refineries.
Can you imagine, such 🖤 wickedness in high places 😳
HMMMM.
4 WIFES, 16 CHILDREN.
34K A MOUNTH.
WE'RE THE PROBLEM OF OURSELVES IN NIGERIA
Guy Nigerians does give to children now compen to our for father whn they 20, 15, 30, 10, children yet they things is far better than today where government parastater aquire more than they can spend all their life we the citizens keep mote there would be Nigeria again
Useless fayose
Well done Mr Segun Sowunmi.
You've spoken well am certainly sure you know what Nigerians are passing through...
The current APC led government has failed woefully, now scared of what they started.
Brilliant conversation with Otunba
I really like the way Segun Sowunmi raised his points even an opposition party member that he is.
In all honestly, what he said does make sense.
Every single sentence 👍👍👍
Finances are bad but SUVs, Yacht, Private jets, sharing money and extra prayers in mail boxes . Fayose is just rambling around.
This man Segun Showunmi is so intelligent, he's not like the first one that spoke.
The government is presenting her case to Nigeria as if Nigeriaans are the cause of the hardship.
Bringing fayose here is a waste of time. He has nothing to say...
Hungary people on the streets will not be law abiding.
They have already made their point by this agitation.
Let the president address the nation. Aid local government to employ 10,000 each of the 770 (maybe non- graduate first) and later next year b4 June another set of graduate. To continue other years with states & federal - millions will be engaged this way.
Government should also watch their spending on wastes - our dept of 77 trillion with subsidy removal should not have risen to over 120tn in just one year addition.
So what kind of jobs are u gonna give those 10k ppl to do?
I am utterly disgusted at the lack of concern for the plight of the trodden masses of this great nation's unbearable suffering and inhumane living conditions. Seun, please don't bring rogues to your channel. All the answers he gave tonight were inconsistent with the very sensitive questions you raised
This last guy is so sound, simple and on point.
Segun you on point
People like this usually fail when they are given power
I can't believe I used to love Fayose! Shame!
Protest is not Violence, issues are legitimate, the Government is going the wrong direction, a protest will put them to check
Seun stop bringing politicians and past leaders who could not even pay salaries in their state.
The PDP guy was correct in his presentation...thank God that we have many intelligent men and women!!
Dr. O
If u can not rule as a leader remain in your house ok no body force u to be the persistent of the country if u can not do anything good to build the country
The military 🪖 has wasted long time on addressing the corruption in Nigeria.. Imagine the impunity of INEC and government officials....
Corruption in Nigeria started from the military. Nigeria haven't recovered from IBB and Abacha days. Democracy will always be better.
He is in abroad where things move in a right direction
When did we lost good thinking. I love this segun
Your just cooking up ur story for saying 16 children with four wifes earning 32 thousand let be clear north of today is not the same of that before I disagree with you
It’s gotten too bad that even the daughter of Mr President issuing threats to protesters
Mr Governor you one of the leaders i respect so much but am i highly disappointed by your views tonight and I strongly disagree with you because you are playing politics with a very sensitive and important issue here Sincerely i personally i don't support protest because of the Life of the innocent Nigerians but i must say this why should the Government allow things to get this worst or is it because you are a politician and you are feeding very well that is why you are sounding this way mr governor go to the local market by yourself and price things then you will know that life is worst for the ordinary Nigerians and you are here sounding like it is a joking matter mr government is it the Nigerians masses that increase the price of fuel to the ridiculous amount or is it the Nigerian masses that devalue our naira and make it worthless please tell me mr Governor is it Nigerians that increase tariff and the price of gas or Don't you know that this are the major cause of the sufferings in The land please mr governor next time you have the opportunity to appear on national TV kindly respect yourself and sound more reasonable and sensitive to the plight of the Nigerians citizens because you don't love asuwaju than us we love him too and that is why we are telling mr president to please adjust his policies for the betterment of the Nigerians masses thanks
👍👍👍👏👏👏💕
Fayose is playing politics 😅😊
I'm convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that PDP is not the solution to our problems. The PDP era was so bad and corruption was at its peak. Buhari was sectional and wicked. Nigerian politicians are so heartless. God will judge them very soon.
Fayose is not a right man to ask these questions. How much did he pay as salary. How much was his security vote. God will deal
I really like the analysis of this PDP guy.
I can listen to him all day....he is good
Why are they buying new planes, and renovating buildings for billions when Fayose is defending the government. If government is reasonable by cutting the cost of governance Nigerians will support it. But you cannot be spending extravagantly and then calling for patience. Mr Fayose park I beg
Fayose threatening people with consequences, when politicians steals billions of naira, there isn't any consequences, we are were we are today because of bad governance.
Fayose, can 35k sustain a family of 4 in this present economy and stop using a family of 16 0r more as yardstick?
Fayose is a secret member of the APC
Seun has continued to show his deep prowess. Governor Fayose is also eating fat tactically in the current government.
Of course I love Gov. Fayose because he has once been the only voice during the early days of PMB... before things got very bad. Now everybody now finally agreed that PMB scored zero.
How did Fayose become a governor of the most educated state?
I'm worried why people fail to see below their noise. APC government are wicked people and very insensitive.
In the days of PDP, they listened to the people and fear what people will say, but APC do not care.
I remember the days of Aregbesola in Osun...The man ran Osun underground.
The sad part is that, the poor people still defend the oppressors
Sowore and the take it back movement and the revolution now movement were vociferous loud through the regime of Buhari since 2017. They led several protests that cumulated into soro soke and the endsars protest
Don't mind this corrupt ex governor, he should be ashamed that he is part of those who have ruled and ruined this country. Fayose has nothing to offer. Bringing him to an interview is a pure waste of time.
Akpabio is a grace to Nigeria, for the fact that the President admit there is hardship does mean he doesn't know that some people can hijacked the protests but the president is still pleading what The hunger protester needs to hear now is to plead and commitment unlike this threatening messages from the 3 Rd citizens Mr Akpabio please stop this threatening messages we don't need now , government is guilty of all these mess whether from now to the last regime already they are still same APC
Council of state where the past presidents will come to fix all they mess they have caused 😂😂😂😂
D problem is P m price and food stuff price 4 Nigeria people Nigeria people Nigeria we be better again ongry every wr in Nigeria mr president reduced fuel prices and food stuff price
This is the first time in my life that I would see Government at all level pleading with Nigeria over the intending protest and this is simply because the president is a Democrat. People pleaded with Buhari before he could address the nation during the Endsars protest. No need for the protest !!!
A democrat and people can't feed. With judges been bribed and corruption is the order of the day😅
Salary of #34,000 monthly. Families of 16 children from 4 different wives and such citizens are still blaming bad governance? We must be joking!! Most Nigerian citizens must change their ways lifestyles or attitudes towards life. Change began with you sha .......
The government is going on the wrong way, but for the first time in 50 years, Nigeria now have it's own refinery and selling crude oil in naira. We all need to support Mr. Dangote, and President Tinubu. Not crying for hunger. Let's Nigerians religions leaders invest in farming for their members. Let's there be full prosecution of the law against qny criminal on our streets.
😂😂Your mumu dey smell, 50years no refinary? You're so uninformed. Which fuel is been sold in Naira?
@@olabeker8737I think u are poorly informed When was the last time our own refineries worked? Apparently u dont understand what refineries stand for.
@@okeoja4447 how old are Nigeria refineries 😂? Bros stop this your misinformation and for your information dangote refinery is not working yet and I don't know which refinery that's selling fuel in naira

If Tinubu your brother can’t fix the problem please 🙏 ask him to resign before he destroy Wht is left
Wishful thinking buddy.
Mr president reduced fuel prices and food stuff price 4 Nigeria people Nigeria we be better again
This is not true. That flippant display on the day of swearing in, is reason for the hardship.
Here you are right Fayoshe what's a teacher doing with 2 wives and a Toyota Sequire Jeep with a 5.6 litre Engine 😅😅😅
He was once one of them.. Why not go and stay in the slump.. Govern us well and treat all equal
Is a shame fayose is always dodging the question thrown @ him. Why is it that no politician pleading for restraint in protest talking about govt extravagant spending... This govt still is not ready; even if this protest happen to lead to a military take over so be it; the politicians will have themselves to blame afterall.
Fayose is talking nonsense!
So because Buhari didn't see protest, we should Keep mite?
Fayose is here with agbado brain again, endsars protest was during Buhari, was Fayose under the rock?
Judges, Inec, assembly , poverty, Nepotism , The faces!!!
BAT said I will continue where Buhari stopped.
Fayose should be asked if the government is futuristic when it is busy spending money to build new house for the VP, buying a new presidential jet etc.
Here goes the stomach infrastructure governor!
Why didn't the snatch it and run away president wait till midterm before subsidy is gone mantra was vomited and the naira floated.
We are not all fools!
I love SEGUN SHOWUNMI
Will fayose speak to the people in this manner during his electoral campaign?
So we should be hungry forever?
Tell them true sir
This guy is sound....with facts
Thanks Sheun for your sense of humours around your questions passed on your invited guests tonight and I believed that the ‘Peaceful protest should progress without any form of intimidation or allows the husking to hijack it.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed is not Jesus Christ or Prophet Muhammed (SAW). Hence as human, he should by now make an ‘Apology’ to the disappointed citizens of Nigeria for his lapses and oversights.
By now, he ought to have analysed where he gets it wrong and right here ask to bring in board, notably the leaders and to collect and sieve in details all they, the protesters are demanding.
If however, he can do all these, then by now he would have gotten some sort of empathy and support for admitting he git few things wrong as a human being.
Then such appeals will have soften the minds and hearts of the 1st of August protest ring leaders leaders, or whoever they may be.
Hence : @Two wrongs can never be made ‘Right.’
There is no need to disturb the youth of our country if they decided there is a need for a genuine and peaceful protest at any times.
The duty of the government will be to ensure that, such protest is not hijacked by hoodlums or sabotaged by the police men, who are meant to discharge their roles as expected as deemed necessary.
I therefore hope that nothing will happen that will throw the face of the protest in a ‘Hyperbolic’ shape and cause mayhem that is avoidable.
Everything is in the hand of the Almighty and so he will guide both sides cautiously and peacefully on the first day of the coming protest.
Yes
He is rich so he is not affected
👏👏😄😄😄
What's wrong with Fayose Tonight
Sounds like a con man tbh
Mr Fayose we are not all to blame it is the responsibility of government to oversight it’s citizens all over the world and you guys are here abdicating responsibility and doing apple and orange comparison ..I wonder how this one ruled a state.
👌👌💯 very correct and on point.
70.000 naira can.not even buy a bag of rice.
Generally, humans are expected to be destructive in nature when there's no law or an enforcer. It's a shame to hear someone who has been in government to say the citizens are the problem. What then is the job and responsiblities of the government???? What a sad thing to say on national TV. we need to take a cue from countries that has a turn around time of less than 10 yrs, go see El savador or Argentina, or India
But the president ought to address d nation
Fayose is just not answering any of the questions, just deviating from all the questions...Asked about Solution, his talking about a man with 3 wives and 17 kids...Definitely his saying no solution.
Too much crimes in our nation Nigeria today is because of ongry every wr mr president reduced fuel prices and food stuff price 4 Nigeria people Nigeria we be great again just try it
Why is seun always interviewing this man?
Nigerians should understand that power belongs to the people. We should come together and fix our dear country. Our leaders are just having sleepless night due to the planned protest
No! No!! The power does not belong to the people that is in ideal world not Nigeria because our votes does not count.
When we complain of Buhari's health challenge did he stop him from spending 8 years comoare to Biden's story in Anerica. I say no more,
