One quick question for the UP,--What do ya'll do with scrap / bad / used-up ties one you are doing picking them back up. I know they are soaked and permeated with creosote / oils, so I am guessing ya'll are not just dumping in a landfill? Do they make good co-gen fuel material?
UP is a great company. I harken back to my childhood, back in the 50’s taking our annual family trip from Chicago to Los Angeles once a year on The City Of Los Angeles. And UP stock is a solid investment, even over the last two miserable years. I watched the Big Boy being towed out of Pomona Fairgrounds, and hope see it under steam someday.
