@chriswhynder8311 from my understanding, downshifting the transmission to first gear when slowing down puts a lot of stress on the clutches. I think first gear gets worn out the most. Maybe it's not so bad on dual clutches, I'm not sure. Either way I usually avoid doing that on my car in manual mode.
