- Do we really need to make contact with aliens? Every day scientists are sending out signals into space attempting to contact extraterrestrial life, but is that really such a smart idea? Check out today's insane new video that gives you an hour-by-hour breakdown of what first contact with aliens would actually be like!

Thank you, I really needed this post!

LOL good one.
45 minutes after contact: Toilet paper is sold-out world-wide.
can't have the aliens using it up, you know? toilet paper is for humans only.
Their portrayal of the SOD hanging up on them, then rudely demanding why they didn't inform him seemed pretty accurate. 🤣
I feel like our understanding of aliens or extraterrestrials is too reliant on movies and video games
100%
Where do you think they got most of their ideas?
What else do we have? If not for movies or games we have nothing on them.
We're going to probably be the alien invaders
We are extraterrestrial in nature
If aliens ever attacked earth, my first question would be “which sci-fi film came the closest?”
..hopefully not "aliens" the sequel 😨
War of the world, or Prometheus
10 Cloverfield Lane
Independence Day....probably.
Great question I'd have to lean towards independence day or eternals
The thought of the world’s nations coming together for once and taking a stand as one is generally pleasing
Except for the idea of a common enemy is the only thing that seems to be able to unite the world.
That happened in a Twilight Zone episode 'A small talent for war'. It was an amazing episode.
We all know Joe Biden would only work with other nations if him and his son got a few million. There’s no way he’d do anything good for the country for free
@@laurentiat5312 so do you want to make a common enemy for the sake of humanity?
Why would they when WAR makes so much money for the arms dealers and ammo dealers who sell to both sides. And big bombs help with population control.
It wont happen until the New World Order has taken full effect with MANY of us dead !
The first two hours humans will be looting Walgreens and CVS , stealing ice cream and cigarettes. Carrying flatscreen out of Walmart.
“Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying.” ― Arthur C. Clarke
I honestly would find it much scarier if we were the only ones to exist
Steven hawking said humans will mostly hit a technology wall and that will end us way before we find other life forms
If we knew we are alone, we'd just look up at the Universe and say "It's free real estate!" and progress not much faster towards up there than we do now.
There would also be no competition but ourselves, the Humanity, so we would have really no reason to unite.
Didn't Carl Sagan said that ?
Or maybe Einstein, yes , Einstein said every quote on the internet
neither is terrifying .
"If humans can't have the planet, no one can." The Imperium Approves 👍
We will nuke the planet so nobody can have it
"Do not allow any guise of sentience to stay your hand, for there can be no hesitation when the survival of humanity as a species is at stake."
~ Inquisitor Kartize, Ordo Xenos
"A man who has nothing can still have faith,
and a man who has nothing can still offer his life.
Success is measured in blood, yours or your enemies.
Only in death does duty end." ~The Imperial Guard
"He who allows the alien to live shares in the crime of its existence." ~Inquisitor Apollyon, Ordo Xenos.
I, for one, would welcome our new alien overlords. Nukes? Not in my name.
There's no reason for aliens to contact Earth at this time. Maybe in another two hundred to five hundred years they might want to communicate with us if we're still around
Basically an alien arrival would show just how confused and small we are in the universe.
☝
If confronted by aliens, who mastered space/time dilation, can you imagine what their military would be like? They would more likely send drones to get an idea of what's on earth first (living beings, atmosphere, etc).
Maybe the things that are being picked up by Military pilots are some type of alien drone
And their first words would be
“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. We come in..”
“What? No I’m not an ang..oh they are groveling..oh dear..”
@@Tdr-jv2nc been saying this those are not manned ships they are drones like how we use satellites to look at planets theirs are just more advance
That makes sense. So this contact is only after extensive surveillance has already been done.
Yes they would have zero reason to be there physically.
My favorite theory about hostile aliens is that we'll never get a chance to fight them. They'll park out in the Oort cloud, aim several large objects from the cloud at Earth and wait for them to wipe out civilization. The few humans that survive would not have the resources to even mount a feeble defense.
bingo. Less dramatic but more realistic
Or they could just develop a virus and wait it out…
We can accelerate objects at orbital speeds (7 km /s), while an advanced civilisation could accelerate objects at the Galactic speeds (200 km/s).
Being hit by something at that speed has undescribable effects; a good example would be the shot fired by Moff Tarkin's battlestation at Aldeeran...
@@rayoflight62 Yes, they probably could fire something that fast. However if their goal is to capture the planet for its resources they're not going to fire something fast enough to obliterate the planet.* Several smaller, slower moving objects aimed at points around the globe would maximize fatalities without cataclysmic damage such as punching a hole through the earth's crust.
*Imagine the commander of the mission reporting he destroyed the planet:
Commander: Sir, we engaged operations at sector 8472 as ordered.
Alien Leader: Excellent! How soon can we send our colony ships?
C: Your excellency there might be a slight problem in that regard.
AL: What kind of problem?
C: Well sir, one of our junior technicians assigned to operate the mass drivers made a small mistake.
AL: Define small 😡
C: Instead of setting the driver speed to 20km/s, he accidently put in 200km/s
AL: (angrily) So you're saying the target planet was..
C: Obliterated, yes sir. There is now a second asteroid belt in that star system. Sir, It's not a total loss, there's lots of material recoverable from the debris!
AL: Big deal! Our information on that planet said it had beautiful beaches on par with any in the galaxy! Now where am I going to hold the next intergalactic beauty pageant? I promised a new venue now I've got nothing!
C: I don't know what to say sir other than I apologize for the actions of my team.
AL: Consider this your resignation Commander. And I want that junior technician on the next ship to the garbage planet of sector 27.
C: Yes sir.
Why not just drop a pathogen or zombie virus and let us wipe ourselves out and then come down and deactivate whatever they dropped and take our planet as it is so they can harvest the planet
This may be a nice idea for a Hollywood movie, but reality will most likely be more mundane. If the aliens are peaceful, they'll make sure their presence is known, a long time -- years or even centuries -- before they attempt any connection, let alone a visit (assuming that is even possible).
OTOH, if there is anything here which they want and we're in their way, we'd probably be gone before we even know what hit us.
Ok but I haven't watched a lot of your videos but so far I am deeply impressed. This is a high quality script like really freaking good. Whoever writes this should get a raise or work for a big media company or their own movie or tv show seriously. I was just engrossed into the story and I loved every second of it. Thank you
You say this impress's you, ? It's all wrong bud and i would not pay these people in broken washers to do any thought process for me. If Aliens ever came to Earth don't you think that if they were coming in peace they themselves would contact us also.. Think about it, if you visited another world and found aliens you' would not just fly in and land would you. You'd make contact first. I don't go up the road and let myself in to my neighbours home to say hi, i knock on the door first and await for an answer.
Sounds like a great script, right? I can picture... Will Smith as a fighter pilot who survived the first attack and fights back. And maybe Jeff Goldblum? As the lazy genius that figures out how to save us all...
As a retired Marine, pretty sure someone in the Corps will try to sleep with it... just saying!
Why u say that??
W.t.h?
Clap dem alien cheeks!
When the US says "send in the Marines" we mean it.

If aliens have the technology to travel between stars, there is no way we could win a war with them.

Contact is being made. It's been happening quietly to individuals and small groups around campfires, wilderness areas, and in suburban areas to people capable of peaceful intent and people that do not succumb to being awestruck, incapable of belief to what they're seeing. If you see something incredible, acknowledge to yourself that you are seeing it, try to observe yourself having the experience while in the experience. Control your excitement, be calm. Don't curse and jump up and down like animals. Be someone who would make contact with another being.

It is yet unclear if the arrival of the rebel youth has severely negatively impacted the previously uncontacted and intellectually inferior tribe of HUMANS. Prior attempts to eradicate the invasive species proved unsuccessful by the galactic confederation (ALL HAIL!). we are prepared for aliens but what if we find other humans?
we'd probably get along just fine if its the same species
No, no no. Please no. That’s worse
That would be the end of us.
Bigfoot apparently wants nothing to do with us.
Did you mean humanoid type aliens?
I can’t imagine an alien civilization observing humans wouldn’t notice we are aggressive and destructive.
Why would they think we would be peaceful?
I think that applies to all lifeforms on earth, especially if they are sentient. Have you ever seen how a cat reacts to a human when it has never had human contact? Yeah.... humans arent special in their hostility and destruction. We are just a wee bit more smart about how we bring it about
Ever seen what every other primates does?
Because we can be.
Any intelligent species is likely to have a violent past. Sadly it's just part of nature. We are evolving past that point but some people are making it harder for humanity to overall overcome violence. I'm sure there's plenty of spacefaring species that are still very violent towards eachother
Good point, humans are destructive and our history is stained with blood, too the riots and looting when the show up wouldn't look good. Hopefully they see less aggression and more scared little underdeveloped civilization, that and I hope they see the respect most of us would show for there technology
14:36 "We don't want to destroy ourselves in the process of fighting off the alien threat"...I think you give humanity way too much credit there.
If a ship was detected approaching Earth then it is a pretty sure bet it is hostile. They are obviously intelligent and therefore would know the stress it would cause on the less technologically advanced specie by coming unannounced. It would be like walking into a stranger's bedroom in the middle of the night rather than knocking on the door.
Not pretty sure, 100% oh yeah, if our warning that Aliens r coming is we can see them coming, were fuked!
Well, knocking on a door... I remember me something about something that happened a few years ago in the USA. A guy had a car-accident and survived this. Wounded he came to a house, knocked on the door, and got shot by the owner of the house. So, also not so wise for an alien to come this way to earth... 😰
@@nachtschadedoggerbank1089 The "knocking on the front door" is my analogy for a long-distance communication, possibly from the kyper belt or even the port cloud, but NOT while approaching Earth within our solar system.
You are assuming our way of thinking here.
Perhaps they have no actual concept of making oneself known. Perhaps just going places is their thing. Perhaps they were sending strong mind signals all year long, and they wondered why nobody answered.
Perhaps we are the first planet with life they have ever seen, and perhaps they thought they were all alone, just cruising around looking for a nice spot to chill.
There could be countless reasons for flying around in a spaceship. Assuming a species to be warlike, just because we are, well. That's very human indeed.
can be rest assured hostile aliens wouldnt come at all, if you think a hostile alien take over would involve presence, ships blasting lazers and sending boots on the ground then im not sure what to say. As a futuristic being to a caveman, would i need a gun to take over/eradicate his land? Kinda like taking out a 10 gauge for an ants nest or wasps nest, ermmm yeah eventually it would work, but would be messy, time consuming and basically unnecessary waste of resource whilst X amount of light years away from your home.....
The first thing I would do after getting that signal will be to take a restroom break, get some coffee and recheck the data. That will take an hour at least.
For the bathroom?
Most people think of contact happening in a similar way as Europeans meeting Indigenous peoples, but it’s probably more like how we interact with wild animals. You can watch videos right here on RUclips of humans placing mirrors in the jungle to observe how animals react, or the animatronic gorillas placed among groups of gorillas. If there are aliens capable of interstellar travel they’d be so far advanced they’d relate, and interact with us in the same way we interact with so called wild animals. Just my opinion.
and an opinion I can agree with.

yes, but what about last contact? Is there still a scenario.
Hmm.. you know... once you have the technology to do interplanetary travel, getting any resources you need from space instead of diving down a gravity well is just a lot easier. Once you mastered interstellar travel, a small rock like earth has little to contribute, and enslaving some biological species which needs a biosphere to survive is.... extremely impractical when you can also build robots to do the work.
But unique earth DNA might be very marketable. They can get rocks anywhere. But unique earth DNA might make some alien capitalist a lot of moola.

Same. Also I hope any civilization, that makes it to us knows that the folks that managed to crawl to the top of our current system do not represent all of us.
Interesting conjecture, but no. There would be more than minutes because they need to slow down as they approach and there's a limit to how much acceleration they can survive (if they are here in person and not just AI). It would take longer than minutes to do the tech work. If they are transmitting radio signals then they would instantly see our response, and us transmitting sequences of primes would instantly make the point and suggest a reply. If they're not transmitting radio signals then we would not see them approach. They would not come to conquer us - if they had the technology to come then there is literally nothing in the universe they would need to come here for - they could make it themselves. And if they want to wipe us out, they would not bother coming, they would just use missiles/lasers from their armchairs, in which case we would not know till it hit. But apart from that, spot on. I look forward to being kept as a pet by an alien - free food and tummy rubs.
i love your work thank you so much for what you do and create on your channel
I'm a fan of Neil DeGrasse Tyson's idea, in which perhaps aliens have already discovered our planet, studied and observed what there is to offer and concluded that there was no intelligent life found.
It wasn't his idea at all. It's a common answer to the paradox we haven't had contact yet.
One thing for sure, is it aliens physically visit, they are most probably prepared to do exactly what they intend to do, and we can only go with the flow - if they want to communicate they already learned how to do so and will accommodate us. If they don't communicate, we need a last ditch effort to convince them we're worth keeping alive by showcasing the best of our culture - a welcoming ceremony.
Maybe they've watched our world war documentaries and mistaken sci-fi flicks for historical archives, and concluded we are not a species to be f****d with ... or even contacted. :D
De grass is simply projecting his own feelings about the human race onto the aliens.
at least not worth speaking to. after all, if you see an anthill you look at it for a bit, watch the ants running around, then you go do something else. The ants are interesting, even intelligent, but not that exciting.
I like the first half , but maybe they don't want to interrupt our progression . we could be a big experiment and they are just observing. you could say the same about God. we're just but one creation, and he's just watching
Being able to coordinate multiple observatories across the planet to line up their equipment on a precise location within 4 minutes of first contact seems extremely improbable.
Very true. Let’s be real, it’s an alien contact RUclips video, how about you enjoy the play time.
Nuclear response can be done within 90 seconds, so I’m sure repositioning a satellite in 4 minutes is possible
They have many linked , and amateur units also link on their own. I know it seems like a short period of time, it's not, they are in constant communication. If one person discovers something, they tell each other and get confirmation once others see it at all, they just need the location and switch them on the computer systems
It’s called the dark knight orbits the poles. Check it out
I loled when they aligned the Hubble telescope and got results 5 minutes after some dude got the first reading. Not sure I want to trust the rest of the video.
The way our politicians been behaving maybe an intergalactic invasion wouldn't be so bad...

the urgency was serious 😂😂😂😂
Here is the answer to the solution to the Fermi paradox. other civilizations will NEVER agree to contact humanity while it is at such a savage level that it is not even able to survive the first contact in a civilized manner.
If aliens wanted to eliminate us, we wouldn't know what hit us, we'd just be gone.
^ This. I remember I came up with a story as a kid that was just a series of simulations of how aliens could wipe us out. In none of them did we ever realize we were under attack. If I could come up with so many ways of killing humanity/the planet without ever making contact, how much more ways can an advanced alien civilization come up with? I would be sorely disappointed if they did a Mars Attacks/Independence Day style invasion. Do a fly by and go about your day if you want to eliminate the threat.

This is almost a decent precis of the plots of Contact and Independence Day.
Aliens do not need 72 hours.
They need 5 minutes... "As we thought, there are no intelligent life on this planet, lets move on".
We need to develop a huge breakthrough technology that peaks the interests of aliens that might be monitoring us, they'd come down to either take it or if they are impressed by what we made they finally see us as worth helping.
Not exactly. If they come from a different planet they could easily value some mineral or element that doesn't exist on theirs like Copper etc. Think about it ... Something so simple could be like diamonds to them
Bad idea. It might be the last thing we do as a species. Or it could result in big leaps forward with technology they share. What a gamble.
The chances of us impressing and attracting aliens that way are low.
or maybe they could help us with such things if they think we deserve it and are worthy enough n wont use it to harm eachother but who knows. So many crazy possibilities when thinking theoretically. Theoretics about everything are fun and good thought exercises to think of anything about everything and what could be even if not possible by our point of view its still good to wonder
The thing is, if alies can come here, there is nothing impressive we can show them.

That is the argument that is most discussed in universities oposing S.H.’s theory: What could anything that can travel across the galaxies, past much more rare-mineral rich planets than ours, want from us.
Theoretically, we are charming enough and interesting enough, that they could want us for pets. But to travel this far to be the first purveyor of human pets on their planet? Really? We’re just not all that great. There is an entire planet made of diamonds.
@@adrianspeeder 🤣🤣🤣
There is an inherent flaw in your theory: If the aliens didn't need anything from us why would they show up here? Besides, what Earthbound civilization didn't find something desirable among the possessions of a primitive society? It could be water, minerals, genetic material, some rare element not ubiquitous in the rest of the universe or they may just be incredibly curious. To a certain extent I agree that our history wouldn't be a great help in analyzing the actions, motivations or needs of an alien race or how we should react under those circumstances. However, their true needs, motivations and attitudes would probably be so inconceivable, so cryptic and so bizarre that figuring out what they want, why they're here or how to communicate with them would be a possibly insurmountable problem. They could have a history, physiology and motivation that would be so far outside our experience that even communication would be impossible. Who can even try to predict anything about an alien encounter?
“We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn’t want to meet. I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet. Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they can reach,” Hawking said in a 2011 Discovery Channel special. “If aliens ever visit us, I think the outcome would be much as when Christopher Columbus first landed in America, which didn’t turn out very well for the Native Americans.”
From a genetic/evolutionary standpoint, humans aren't that different from chimps. However, chimps couldn't fathom engineering a ship that could send someone to the moon, or the development of the internet. Nor could they operate the technology if it was given to them. Now, imagine there are aliens, and their intellect gap with us, the disparity could be equal to the human/chimp gap, or, hundreds of times greater. Imagine the technology available to them, I wonder if we could ever grasp how it works, even if they took the time to explain it to us.
This topic is equally fascinating, as it is frightening. Hopefully, they think we're more than just walking plumbing with violent tendencies.
Equally likely they will tell us there are plenty of intelligent beings in the galaxy and most of them reguard us as irregularly violent and self harmy in a circumstance were cooperation might be more appropriate.

That's why we should put some effort into being out there first with the most. If there are no aliens, great, more planets for us. If there are, well, we get to at least meet them on less unequal terms, far from here, without any obvious stuff telling them where Earth is located. No matter how many ships vanish over the western ocean, it's always better to invent them and send them out than to sit around and wait for someone to show up from the other side.
I love how the aliens all have huge bug eyes.
"The scientists must thoroughly check the signal". 1 minute later "It's aliens".
Ask yourself this; if you were an alien, would there be any benefit gained by befriending the human race? Or is it more likely that once befriended, the humans will experience a technological golden age and afterwards try to wipe you out?
We're vicious creatures, 9/10 times only into something for personal gain. Any sense of continuation of species is practicly non existent.
We have quite a few things to learn and change before we can be of use to anyone, let alone some sort of galactic federation. As we are now, i'd say the chance of being contacted for the purpose of being buddies is next to 0. To me it's far more likely that incase we'd make contact we'd be wiped out, and we have no one to blame but ourselves.
We could've been further into the future technology wise by now. We could've colonized planets by now, making us far less vulnerable for any nature based cataclysmic event. Yet here we are..
If only we could set aside our differences for 150 years or so, we'd be fighting about who gets the nicest planet in a solar system. Not about how close nato is to russia's borders..
They might see it kind of like domesticating and adopting a wild animal. They could even be entirely altruistic and make contact solely to teach us how to be better.
Everything that makes humans "bad": the violence, the expansionism, etc, is why we're here in the first place. Are basically the "survival skills" that made us the top species from our planet
And most certainly are the one that made the aliens the dominant species from their planet
We would be equal
@@purpleshaft234 Except, clearly they will be far more technologically advanced if they are able to reach us. Also, while those traits did allow us to survive and become the dominant species on Earth, now that we have no competition other than ourselves, those traits have become largely self-destructive. An older civilization may very well have learned to advance beyond them. Today our survival depends far more on cooperation than aggression, and a civilization that has lasted long enough to achieve interstellar travel will likely have realized this too.
If all the money time and investment that has been poured into the military worldwide in the last 120 years has been instead put into space travel we would be living on Mars and the moon and the minds of Jupiter now

In reality, the signal would have been received and cataloged into a database. It won't be reviewed for months. Nobody is going to be moving that quickly, most folks will be getting a cup of coffee, in the bathroom, etc. Cause in reality, ain't that much work being done in these communities. Its largely automated processes, hence the collection in databases for further analyzing later. Sometimes it takes years. By the time we noticed, the contact probably already drove by.
The aliens would've watched few alien movies made by this planet, and they're trying to figure how to approach the planet without humans going nuts.
Then they would have to approach children only.
How about the aliens make a movie how about approach a civilization that still sticking on the ground?

The Aliens know we are here and it's not too hard to believe that they are avoiding us.
They probably know that making contact in a peaceful way and not cause huge drama to unfold among us would be extremely difficult, so they are trying to find out a way to come in peace without causing mass hysteria. A life form that could travel through space, would be smart enough to know those basic principles of a society.

You have no idea 🤣 When life is common outside our planet it would mean that things like water would be extremely valueble and we would have been harversted already 😂
From the moment that we develop warp speed and we will be able to colonise other planets we will be able to find other life forms.
I agree !! They are going to stop the destruction of earth. They are only interested in protecting earth. I believe if they do come , no one can do anything!! If they can move that fast and go under water and back into space. Its over !!

The Voyager 1&2 spacecraft we launched in the 1970s and have taught us a lot about our solar system. However as they are leaving the solar system shouldn't destroy them... we don't want to risk aliens tracking them back to us?
While we should be ready to fight if we have to, we need to first see if they have hostile intentions. If they are advanced enough to come all this way, we do NOT want to have to fight them, as we'll have basically no chance.
Obviously we fight anyway if we have to. but if they don't want to harm us, we should confirm this first.
Imagine the aliens were just passing by saying “Wow that planet is beautiful!” Then getting a radio signal and just screaming “YO WTF”
It is absolutely ridiculous to assume we could actually fight a species that is advanced enough to cross the vastness of the universe. One ship could easily annihilate us if they wished to.
Sadly all speculation. They may be peaceful or non warfaring? Like the carthaginians.
@@SuchDoge4242 I assume you are correct. I hope you are correct, but that doesn't really have anything to do with the OP. I am sure that the only way a species could reach that level would be to have evolved past the need for authoritarian states so that means most likely any alien visitors would be free market capitalists and as such would be inherently peaceful.
@@ynkybomber it does in the sense that if they are peaceful they may actually be a potential for us to me more militarily advanced or equal to them if that isn't their primary focus. Again though this is all speculation
@@SuchDoge4242 not possible the fact that they can fly between stars guarantees one ship could completely destroy this planet.
@@ynkybomber no it doesn't. Just because Italy makes fast cars, doesn't make them good at war. They could be competent, or not. We wouldn't know til it happens. But the ability of faster travel doesn't equate to wartime abilities.
I started laughing when he said "minutes after". Telescopes have long since been automated. Images go onto hard drives to be locked at and compared weeks later by servers. If you asked NASA to reposition Hubble, they'd give you a form and tell you all time has been booked for the next few years. Even if you detected some signals and someone was alerted within hours, it would take days or weeks to figure out they actually meant something and days more to get someone to look at it.
Five days after contact, aliens get tired of being asked to pose for selfies. They decide to go home.
It al depends on how rare earth like planets are.
If habitable planets are rare, aliens would definitely "fight" over it.
If there are plentiful, they might just pass to the next one or come peacefully.
It's just that simple. When resources a low, life competes.
Might not be that hard to terraform. Especially if you need to travel vast distances for a naturally good one.
When humans learnt to build houses, we stopped living in caves. Why would we assume a sufficiently advanced species wouldn't do the same? If you have the power to travel between stars, you certainly have all sorts of infrastructure in your own solar system, including the ability to make paradise orbital habitats. The effort involved in terraforming a planet (even things like how fast it spins, axis, etc) will take thousands of years, if not longer. Why bother, when you can make a habitat exactly the way you want.
My theory is that they are investigating human life just like we are investigating Alien life and one day they will arrive to Analyse the planet
if they are an advanced race they probably have the technology to terraform
@@FunnierIrishPerson Tom Delonge said they want our souls, we have souls and that makes us immortal and these things do not, I'm not saying I believe it. I don't see this theory posted often.

Your thumbnail for this video made me LOL.
The idea that there is a top secret alien contact protocol is nutty. Why would such a protocol need to be classified?
Tbh the only real reasons any alien would come here would be things like
1 they want to take over/colonize the planet
2 they want to invite us into a galactic empire
3 they wish to drain our planet of resources,
4 there really just trying to show other planets there not alone
We either change to there standards or we no longer exist
The saddest thing is, this is most likely the only thing that can bring the human race together
Even then. If they are a factional or tribal species like ourselves it could just make things more volatile.
@@burningsnow9870 huh? Can you explain that
@art-games6230 Well think about it. Imagine the inverse situation. What if the U.S. found a factional alien species and got friendly terms with them. Our adversaries would rush to secure alliances with opposing factions of that race.
@@burningsnow9870 yeah, you’re right about that

I think the fact that this is , now, sort of on the back burner of our thoughts is pretty amazing…. It really feels like something is coming
Like we are being prepared foe what they already know.
I agree that they should be more advanced, but maybe not THAT MUCH advanced, and that's where it gets scary. We as humanity didn't yet focus on space exploration fully, we didn't have a great motivation to do so. What if we had? What if we had to leave earth desperately and find the nearest planet that supports organic life forms? Wouldn't we try to leave with everything we could possibily take with us that would ensure our dominance at arrival?

The Doctor in Doctor Who made the joke that the film Alien was racist and discriminatory and no wonder Earth kept getting invaded.
The Hubble telescopes tracking system has a hard time seeing the Moon because of its relative velocity across the sky. Small objects up close would be pixelated and too fast moving to be seen. It's a deep space telescope by design.
If aliens can figure out how to get here, proves it would be futile to try to fight them. Einstein says light speed cannot be eclipsed, so we'd have to learn to warp space and that is technologically extremely difficult.
What a strange thing to say - 'if aliens came to earth it would likely be for a purpose and they don't care if humans are living on it or not'. The *only* thing our planet has that likely can't be found anywhere else *is* humans and earth life. So you could logically conclude that the *only* reason they would come to earth involved humans.
I think the only way that we would stand any chance against aliens in a fight would be two scenarios. One being that they have evolved beyond the point of physical violence in their culture, so much so that they don't even consider threats of violence anymore since they have been so far removed from it themselves. The other possibility would be kind of the opposite, where their weaponry is so advanced that all of their defenses are designed to defend against super high tech weapons, but may be susceptible to our 'primitive weapons'. Something like their defenses are all based on defending from electromagnetic or plasma weaponry etc. but despite doing that well, it ends up actually being susceptible to our dumb weapons that primitively just shoot pieces of metal at each other. Kind of like in the Dune universe where the shields evolved so much that guns were rendered basically useless, but the shielding ended up being susceptible to a simple knife.
Yeah, Kinda like how the replicators on Stargate SG1 were temporarily vulnerable to primitive projectile weapons but not energy weapons, the Goa'uld personal shields were vulnerable to slower moving weapons like a thrown knife too
A fight? I think most Alien Races, or rather I hope, would have evolved past physical violence and consider it practiced by savages.
I may be wrong but I truly hope not.
I don't think the second scenario is practical. Let's say our weapons are somewhat effective against their defenses. But that doesn't make their weapons any less stronger. We would shoot one missible and by the time it hits one of their fighter jets, five of ours would be knocked down. So 15 of their fighter jets can take out the entire Royal Air Force. And since they are so much advanced they might even be able to repair their damaged vehicles within few hours if not minutes. So we are doomed anyways. And remember if we can build biochemical weapons, they can build way more deadlier thing than that which may end all life forms within few days.
Any species that gets that far ahead in technology will of course have written history. They would know what ballistic weapons are and can probably see what kinda weapons we're packing to counter it. Your assumption is that a highly advanced species is somehow stupider than our modern military command. I just don't see how a species would travel countless light-years just to show up and go whoops we have no defense against a missile.
Nothing is beating Aliens. I see a video of it fly away , nothing moves that fast in decades to come. This thing was so fast you only see it disappear but the clouds parted . There's been footage even A Navy Destroyer came in contact with one. They didn't attack or anything they know better. But this ufo went straight under water then shot out at the speed of light into space. Also if you search you will see UFOs would hover over Nuclear sites and control everything. They can launch and stop the launch of Missiles. The guy working said he could not stop the launch. But miraculously the ufo stopped it. If it is Aliens , they know everything about us . And the reality is they have full control and power over us already. I doubt even a nuclear missile would destroy a spaceship !! The technology they must have is unimaginable!! I believe most of these weapons created are from Alien weapons. Ill never forget a contractor who worked at Area 51 . Said he came in contact with 3 still alive and shot at them. One he said Zapped him and the laser cut him in half. Somehow he survived, even Doctors said that whatever did it is not from this planet or anything they ever seen. A week later he committed suicide. After touching the Alien he said he could see earth the way they see it . And he got the knowledge of everything. He couldn't take it and no one believed him , so he jumped out the window. I believe he was killed .
I love how normal this has become, i even get a tiny bit of anxiety watching this lol
Ever wonder if "They" have slowly been innoculating humanity to the idea of an alien invasion so that they can eventually disclose they have been living among us for generations.
Why tho who knows we might be wrong and there just trying to help us

Even as slaves there would eventually be humans that gained greater access to alien technology. By choosing not to die in a hopeless battle its might be possible to live long enough to make the battle not so hopeless.

Don't think Hubble can do that, too close....... Always Good stuff!
If there's one thing you can rely on, it's this: Human paranoia. We always find the wrong solution.
2:10 - Hubble does not have thrusters, it uses reaction wheels to to reposition itself. These wheels would take 15 minutes to turn 90 degrees so you likely wouldn't be looking at an image from it one minute later unless by some miracle of happenstance it just happened to be already pointing that way.
🤓
Two things.
1. Why would hostile aliens be the more likely scenario? Earth has nothing that’s worth going to war and wiping out an “intelligent” species over. If anything, it seems more likely to me that they’d be scientists that would want to study a primitive species like us, not unlike how we attempt to leave animals alone to study them in their natural habitat.
2. Science fiction, this included, really has to downplay the power of nuclear weapons to make for a good story.
I find it interesting that in science fiction alien civilizations always have some sort of energy shield that protects against _everything_ we throw at it.
What they consider 'scientific research' we could consider hostile.. same way we sent animals to space before we did humans..
@@THall-vi8cp because they would need something like that to be able to move at the speed of light without crashing into a speck of dust. If they made it here, they have it.
@@thedarkprince6 even within our own milkyway lightspeed is not enough and going faster breaks universal laws of physics. Theyd need warp technology 🤷♂️
Hostile aliens would be the most likely scenario because we have a rich planet full of goodies anyone could use, and also because it's very unlikely that aliens would travel sooooooo far to get here to try to make friends. Especially after they meet us. The likeliest scenario is that they'd come here for resources or to steal our planet, both would probably mean war which would indeed make them hostile.
