I'm quite surprised how good these were, with three exceptions I will get to at the end. In terms of representation, far more balanced than what we have seen in recent years. Both car ads were extremely polished and exciting but not that memorable. The Tesco smile was a bit grotesque, which ruined an otherwise good idea. I thought most of the ads were very effective. The best: 🥉Johnnie Walker's "music stopper" cork is a solid gimmick, and great use of lighting. The ad seems to have been slightly sped-up to create a more "dynamic" feel, however, I played it again at 90% speed and found it far more pleasing. 🥈The HSBC F-word is an even better gimmick. Very memorable ad, this one might stick in the public mind for a while. 🥇Cunard was simply stunning, accompanied by an excellent choice of music. Perhaps not as memorable as the other two but I was blown away by it. The worst: 💩🥉Linde Hydrogen gave us a terribly outdated 3D render and ugly overlaid text. Dull corporate music. Very amateurish. 💩🥈Barclay's hot sauce "risk" analogy really doesn't work at all. It seems like the kind of idea that would usually come out first or second during a brainstorming session to break the ice, only to be quickly supplanted by three or four better ideas. 💩🥇Unilever's equity lecture was as visually basic and dull as the "message" it tried to put across. I think we're all a bit tired of divisive grievance culture now and it's certainly no way to excite potential customers.
British TV adverts no longer target or appeal to my culture, creed, colour or heritage. I’m white but I’m ok with that if that’s what brands and products want to achieve. No harm in appealing to other ethnic groups but I do feel isolated by brands, products and TV programs. TV advertising income has dramatically dropped for all commercial channels, simply because of that fact that large proportion of British population is not represented or even valued.
2021 census 4 million black people,6.5 million South Asian people, the rest 7 million, white people 52 million. It's ad men based in London screwing the figures.@@jamesyjames1385

A Saudi friend was watching TV in London last week. He asked me if there were any white people in England.
