I'm 12, and this recipe was so quick and easy. I didn't have Panko bread crumbs, so I pulsed up some bread and baked it at 325 for 10 minutes.

I made this today! I made my own katsu sauce using a mixture of ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oyster sauce, and a bit of sugar. The pork was crunchy, tender, and juicy, and the sauce went well with it.

One of my first jobs when I was 16 was at an Asian restaurant called Orient Express (RIP) in Sacramento. I learned how to make this in addition to all the grilled stuff like teriyaki, learned how to present food, etc. My brother loved this at the time and it's still a hit today. The pork part is easy to make, but don't forget the sauce. Google some sauce recipes and you will not be dissapointed. One of the easiest and fastest things you can make.

Thank you so much for sharing!! For the first timers out there, make sure you’re using a deep fryer / make sure the tonkatsu is not touching the pan floor so the breadcrumbs don’t burn with the meat being prematurely cooked. I recommend you tenderize the meat too with either meat hammer / rolling pin / or even a water bottle so it’s thinner (crispier). :)
