They removed several moving things from CSGO to have better performance and because some were annoying and did nothing but get in the way and did not cover because they moved, in addition to the fact that the character got stuck and caused strange movement when you got too close to the objects.
In a multiplayer game it really doesn't matter at all if the world is interactive and responsive, the main focus should be put on map design and actual gameplay
Cs source had so many physics props because the devs wanted to show the world their physics engine and they were kinda obsessed with it, giving every object physics even those which were bad for the gameplay and when they made csgo they removed a lot of the physics objects because there is no real reason for a half destructible environment in such a game

they actually changed the ways the gun handle as in the spread etc in 2012, before that the guns were worse, but in 2012 it literally got the same spread system csgo uses albeit csgo has 2 different recoil vectors m_aimPunchAngle and m_viewPunchAngle aimPunchAngle is for the bullet calculation, viewpunch name is obvious CSS only has vecPunchAngle which shows the real recoil more accurately but its also less smooth but the same counterstrafing etc applies since 2012
