After I wanted to go again! My sister said “have you ever been on this ride?” The worker said “yes. Every morning I do. And this ride is made out of military equipment that they use for tanks!” So apparently this ride is made with military equipment. That made us feel A LOT better that it was made of military equipment.

today at cedar point someone got injured from the top thrill dragster from being in an area they weren't suppose to be in and then they shut it down for the rest of the day, kinda sucks bc i wanted to go on it for the first time

any of the rides that don't go upside down would probably be best if you're looking for things that are fun but not too intense. that's how I started with coasters! :)

I live like 3-4 hours from CP and only go once a year. We got a medic pass so we would be able to ride everything without waiting in the line doing nothing. I got to ride steel twice
I went to cedar point like a month ago and we were gonna rode that ride but it shut down and we stayed there for two and a half hours and right when we left the ride started again.
Rollbacks happened yesterday at the end of the night after it wasn't running for quite a while. It feels like your back's going thru the seat. gravity wants you out of it. Just as it picks up a lot of speed it turns into a smooth stop. Ours stalled at the top for 3 sec then crept backwards. They don't all make it to the top. It's actually been stuck about 3 times with riders on it. My maintenance supervisor friend pushed it over. There's videos of it. They take an elevator to the top. It's the silver piece you see in the center. If you're on Magnum's stairs you can see TTD's tower shake. Fun stuff.
I just went for Halloweekends and we had only rode two rides all day. But I really wanted to ride the Dragster cause it’s my favorite ride and I wanted to ride it. So I run off and find a spot in line. It had broken down 5 times and we had waited over 3 hours to ride and it was worth every minute. That was the best ride I’ve gotten on there by far

Top thrill is closed a lot. They have to send a lot of trains before they can open it, because they have to launch it like really fast to wake it up, but as a testing train they send it up faster each time so it’s unsafe for workers and even riders to ride. So, at least they know they need to do certain stuff to keep people safe - it’s hard to explain that’s what a ride operator told me
Good video. Bad luck with too thrill for you guys. Love that ride. Three times in one day. Front cart every time. Takes an extra 20-25 min and you’re gambling it doesn’t breakdown but amazing 12 seconds.
My favorite ride is the Maverick. I went to cedar point a few days ago and rode the Gemini. We were in the blue car and they had both cars working that day. So the blue card ahead of us just finished our ride and got stuck at the bottom right by the loading area. So they had to try to fix them, so without notifying us for our safety around 65 feet (half way up)We got stuck on top of the hill for 16 whole minutes. You don’t know how terrifying it was. After they brought us down everyone was clapping and we got a free fast pass for any ride except for the steel vengeance but we went on the Maverick and it is my new favorite ride lol
Oldish launched coasters are weird like that. They break down a lot, and the lines are ridiculous when they are open. I went to a place called Silver Dollar City, and there is a roller coaster with a launch very similar to Top Thrill Dragster. Called Powder Keg. It was closed for half the day. I was able to ride it once. (There are only 3 other big ones and I rode them at least twice. One 5 times.) It had a long line for an overcast Wednesday with a 40% chance of rain at a park that rarely gets long lines. It was 20 minutes. (Everything else had a wait time ranging 0-5 minutes.) Roller Coaster Manufacturers have found a way to make launched coasters more reliable by changing not replacing the hydraulic launches (Top Thrill Dragster) with LSM (linear synchronous motors) like on maverick.
This was so dope to watch! Cedar Point was my first video and we used a GoPro when we got on the rides. The Valraven was amazing with the GoPro. You should sneak one on next time you go

Was just there today! Rode the dragster about 15 times! First time using fast lane, well worth it. It is definitely my favorite ride along with steel vengeance.
I haven’t been there in forever but last time I was there it was Maverick. I think the most underrated roller coaster at cedar point is corkscrew I got no head banging on it. By the way most coaster enthusiast would die just to get a roll back on top thrill dragster
They only put a couple people at first because it takes a lot more speed to get the ride over empty as you may think it would be the opposite but it’s not and they start dialing in the ride by sending a few at a time to get it down to the right speed because if they put a full train right after shooting empty ones that train would fly over that top hat way to fast because of the momentum that’s why before opening in the morning they usually are using water dummies to get the launch dialed in to take a full train of guest

I grew up at cedar point. First time I went to cedar point I was about a month old. (I have big brothers, so they went all the time). I was at cedar point every summer all the way up until 2018. I've gotten on all of the roller coasters. I became close friends with some of the workers and managers.
I’m afraid of rollercoaster I mean I LOVE the one with the restraints around your shoulder but I way too skinny and I’m deathly afraid of the ones that go really fast and have big drops with just around the waist because it doesn’t go around my waist...

Was just there today! Rode the dragster about 15 times! First time using fast lane, well worth it. It is definitely my favorite ride along with steel vengeance.

I haven’t been there in forever but last time I was there it was Maverick. I think the most underrated roller coaster at cedar point is corkscrew I got no head banging on it. By the way most coaster enthusiast would die just to get a roll back on top thrill dragster
I LOVE MAVERICK!!! such a good ride!!!
They only put a couple people at first because it takes a lot more speed to get the ride over empty as you may think it would be the opposite but it’s not and they start dialing in the ride by sending a few at a time to get it down to the right speed because if they put a full train right after shooting empty ones that train would fly over that top hat way to fast because of the momentum that’s why before opening in the morning they usually are using water dummies to get the launch dialed in to take a full train of guest

I avoid corkscrew whenever I go to Michigan’s Adventure or Cedar Point because it hurts my soul

I grew up at cedar point. First time I went to cedar point I was about a month old. (I have big brothers, so they went all the time). I was at cedar point every summer all the way up until 2018. I've gotten on all of the roller coasters. I became close friends with some of the workers and managers.

I’m afraid of rollercoaster I mean I LOVE the one with the restraints around your shoulder but I way too skinny and I’m deathly afraid of the ones that go really fast and have big drops with just around the waist because it doesn’t go around my waist...
Sometimes I don’t trust them either hahah. But they’re so much fun!!!
