The original still looks spectacular, goes to show powerful the ps4 was and more importantly how good 1st party studios were and still are at pushing the ps4 and and ps5..
I agree with you, the combination of the oversaturated nature, the changes of collor paletes and some "plastified" assets in the world makes the visuals a bit strange and artificial on the remaster...
Cutscenes look much better to my eye. They changed the look and feel of the gameplay visuals not for the better though. To me, hue and saturation of the plants doesn't match the overall composition anymore. Seems like they have done some adjustments to the tonecurve which results in a more flat looking image.
The colors I find to be worse personally, but overall it looks much better. Question though. While I love the new expressive motion capture to the characters, why the Hell does Vanasha talk through her teeth and barely move her mouth in the remaster?
she's now a realistic redhead, beta and elisabet hair is much darker, it is common for natural redheads to have a darker reddish hair color than this exaggerated orange
The remaster obviously looks good. It is clear they bumped up the visuals a tiny bit. But it really is unnecessary at this point. I paid $16 for the game on PC when it was on sale. An extra $10 is minor for a total of $26. But it's just not necessary when the game as is looks fantastic on PC and runs just as well on my PC. (120fps, 1440p.)
The remaster is sharper and seems to have more details but prefer the original as the grass and leaves in the trees move with the wind. Alloys hair also moves in the wind. Also the ear piece in her ear in the original.has a flashing light. In the remaster even though seems to have more details feels as incomplete as details from the PS4 version have been removed. Prefer the original.
Creo que en varias escenas se ve mucho mejor los colores más naturales en el Horizonte Original, ya que en el Remaster se ven muy saturados los colores. Digo si se agradece que corra a 60fps ahora pero no se nota mucho la diferencia.
The remaster has dynamic lighting, unlike the original games, static lighting. Obviously, scenes in the remaster will tend to have fewer shadows than before. That's just how light works
The remaster has better lighting, the shadows in closed spaces look more realistic, higher textures, animated NPC's,more vegetation, but there are lip sync issues with some characters, overall remaster looks better, but in the end is the same boring game
Wrong. The remastered has far better lighting. Much closer to how it actually should be. Not quite raytraced quality, but much more accurate compared to the original.
The remasters wind works differently compared to the original game. it is constantly windy in the og, but in the remaster, the wind is more randomly generated. It still does appear frequently, just not as much as before

Yup. We're at the level of diminishing returns when it comes to leaps in graphical fidelity between consoles.
The remaster obviously looks better, but the art direction looks worse to me. The remaster looks more like a cartoon at times
what
@@naturalfitness-1 the characters skin in original looks like clay...for me, the original looks like a Cartoon
@@WAGLBExactly.
@@WAGLB True. Way better-looking skin in the new version.

Meridian got quite an upgrade.
I hope in Horizon 3 we'll get an even bigger city. Either the Oseram or the Quen capital.
Orginal has better art direction, contrast and color when it comes to in game cinematics
Lol no
H*ll to the d*mn no!!
xbox alert
Nope have a copy myself. Options for Hdr rendering been added. Looks very bright and sharp.
Agree 100%
In the original, the leaves of the trees and vegetation in general sway, in the remaster it seems to remain static, it seems like there is no wind.

Remastered has more detail, but the original has better lighting and distance fog effects IMO
Game still looks stunning on ps4 we really didn’t need a remaster
I will never forget the experience in the original version playing Aloy as a child... groundbreaking stuff...
The colors I find to be worse personally, but overall it looks much better. Question though. While I love the new expressive motion capture to the characters, why the Hell does Vanasha talk through her teeth and barely move her mouth in the remaster?
7:05 character model is much better now, but she also looks more white and her hair is less red and more brown lol
she's now a realistic redhead, beta and elisabet hair is much darker, it is common for natural redheads to have a darker reddish hair color than this exaggerated orange
I dont understand why people keep saying she looks uglier now she literally looks the same but with better textures
@@Tomejatokoupil yess, I don't understand this either
she looks the same as in forbidden west.
Thanks for this

The original 100%
I dont like the shading in new one.its like there is barely any
Mocap in the remaster is mindblowing
7:46 remaster looks much better, nobody can say it looks worse here lol
Is it me or just the older looks better lol the remastered looks foggy and the old one looks more clear and sharper way better than the remastered ?

More like "Horizon Zero Dawn - Downgrade", No shadows and contrast on characters is a crime!
There are, they're just in a more proper place now. The lighting model is significantly better.
Facts and the faces are less detailed less wrinkles in the remaster
The remaster has dynamic lighting, unlike the original games, static lighting. Obviously, scenes in the remaster will tend to have fewer shadows than before. That's just how light works
9:00 I don't like this kind of acting, she is just talking, not in a play.
my man rost.... turned into a doll now.
All is better in remaster except the wind
The original honestly had better lighting
El remaster se ve mejor lo que tiene el original es la saturación y contraste por eso se ve más sólido
In game cinematics sonetimes looks worse on remastered like in the opening sequence
Imo you are very right
Because of the lighting,is more realistic in the remaster
Nope have a copy myself.
excuse me is the Remastered on the left side or the right side or maybe something wrong with my eyes

Art or Graphics?
I am not paying $800 for a game that looks like 3% better but same amount of fun and no different outcome or playability. Make it make sense......
Well you should not be paying $800 for any game. Where in the world did you get $800? Don't edit your comment either
@@SoFloWill817oh ooops. Im sorry Grammer teacher. I meant to say a "console is not worth $800 + tax" better!?!? Now im scared. 😢
All they should have changed and improved on was the inerections that the Remaster has. Everything else should have stayed the same.
Horizon Zero Dawn Windless Edition
The remasters wind works differently compared to the original game. it is constantly windy in the og, but in the remaster, the wind is more randomly generated. It still does appear frequently, just not as much as before
los modelos de personas esta mejor en el remaster pero las sombras de la cara esta mejor en el original
Why does young Aloy look Yassified
It's the same model as Forbidden west
It’s like they dulled the color out.
No they added a more realistic lighting system
Nope they added hdr rendering options.
@ liked the artistic coloring of the original among other things sadly think I’m not gonna upgrade
Is a CRIME !!!!!!!
Most unnecessary remaster of all time and it looks worse.
The original look better.
The original is so orange😂
I think the image was not corrected and is washed out.
Yeaaaa. No it’s doesn’t
No it doesnt

horrible el viejo se ve mucho mejor
Hahahahah funny
Lololol you ponies are out of your minds😂🐴💀🐴🙂🐴🐴🐴💀💀💀💀🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 more like a downgrade 💀

Remastered is objectively better. Cope harder
Original facial details with wrinkles and Ultra shadows On Remake Nintendo cartoon face Shadows very low setting on
