The best example of a Murray cod fishing bite window

  • Many of us have heard of the bite window when fishing. A short time frame in which the fish come on the bite really well before shutting down again. Murray cod are notorious for this but I am sure that it extends to other species of fish.
In this video the bite window is very pronounced, and lasted for around 45 minutes or so.

At the weir wall on the still side, headed out left to the boat ramp, straight down the middle of the river, trolled a 2or4 bladed yellow black and red spinner bait and got a cod from my feet to my shoulder long. Thought I was snagged for a couple of minutes. Very rare experience but there must be some big ones there, if you ever get down there with the kayak. A few years ago so not sure what the fishing or water is like there to date. It’s the only cod I’ve ever caught there.
