Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. The business was started as a tribute to Mrs. Soap & Clay's grandmother, the OG maker in the family that cultivated everyone's love for the DIY life. The studio/retail shop opened in 2017 on 6th Ave in Tacoma, and immediately began teaching soap, bath bomb, lotion, and scrub classes to the makers and maker enthusiasts of the PNW. In 2019, the pottery studio opened as well, making the soap shop a busy place full of artistic energy every minute of the day.
Mrs. Soap & Clay has been featured on Business Spotlight, New Day Northwest, and was awarded a coveted place on the South Sound's 40 under 40 list in 2019, an award given to the most influential business people under the age of 40 each year. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.
Drawing from her chemistry background and her maker spirit, Mrs. Soap & Clay infuses her favorite things into her soapy designs and creates products that are fun to see, use, and learn to make. Stick around for this ride - she'll take you on a great one.

Oh wow, yes of course the Disney trip. Awwww you will have a blast and good for you wearing your merch. I love love love that sweatshirt. I still perfecting my bath bombs, tricky lil bagars if ya dont get things right. Yours turned out great.and cool rustic pkg too. 🙃😉
True facts about the water! I live in the desert, so I just premoisten my baking soda, then I add all the other stuff... voila. And of course vary according to how humid the day is... because... Bath bombs... so temperamental. 😂
Another awesome video - thanks!
Cookie cutters do amazing things! I also use them for soap. I pour batter into a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, and 24 hours later, use a cookie cutter to cut my desired shape. It's great for making soap with a llama or a dinosaur in it 😁
Holding out on me with the cute ideas, eh? I see how it is. 😂

I only make bath bombs during Winter. Winter in germany is dry, some days i only have 20% humidity in my apartment. As soon as spring is around the corner my bath bombs expands and get acne 🙄. It is rainy and humid since weeks and i gave up on making bath bombs about 2 weeks ago because my recipes didnt worked anymore.
I'm in Alabama and I have just accepted to making bathbomb powders with surprises inside..... humidity here is horrible even with a dehydrator...I dry my own flowers but they still discolor...
Really? That’s wild! I’ve never had a flower discoloration problem in bath bombs - that sucks so much!
2/10 no ears present. You were there for the formulation of my next coming collection. Now I wanna make a series of foodie bath bombs tho >.>
I’m so excited for that collection!!!
Just went to the website to order a box and couldn't find them ...🥺

@@MrsSoapAndClay I spoke too soon. Temps dropped last night and now it's freezing lol
Good luck it's not what it used to be long long long gone are the days where you could save up your babysitting money and go on the weekends back then it was $10 to get in I highly doubt I will ever ever go back to Disneyland!
That’s ok. I plan to spend boatloads and love every minute of it. First Disney Trip for the kidlets should be celebrated in style!
@@MrsSoapAndClay yes it should be!
