Just bought the extensions and works alright (thanks!), except for one minor issue. The markers that are used by the extensions are the sequence markers and not the clip markers. I had to recreate all my clip markers at the sequence level. I suggest being able to select clip or sequence or both types of markers on export
Amazing video! I thought this was not possible! I have a question: how do I export frames between two markers? Is that even possible? Or do I need to put a marler in every frame I want? Thanks!
Glad it helped! For now, you would need to place a marker at every frame that you would like to export. Depending on what you're trying to do, you may want to look into how to export to an image sequence. That would export your entire sequence into a series of jpegs or pngs for example.
@@BetterEditor That makes sense. I can create a sequence just for the part that I need to export if it is too big. I am trying to remove text, and then apply the Lasso tool with AI in Photoshop to do the job, and import back the frames without the text :)
Thank you!!! Just one question. When I give to export with the sequence name it does it well, but if I select to export the frames with maker name I get an error. It tells "your in and out points may have changed. marker name is undefined". Any solution? Thank you very much
Is there a way to choose HDR whites / nits when exporting? When I export my HDR footage using PM the stills are over exposed. It looks like PM defaults to 100 nits even though I have Color Management in Project Settings set to 203. When I export using Premiere's built in functionality, my screenshots are at 203 (re: they match what Program Monitor is showing me).
I downloaded the permanent marker extension, but it doesn't recognize my markers are markers. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Someone mentioned something about clip vs sequence markers, how can I differentiate between the two. I'm clicking "m" where I want a marker. Could someone help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!
Hey - not sure if you ever figured it out but I had the same issue and managed to - when you're adding a marker with 'm' - if your clip is selected/highlighted, it will add it to the clip - you need to have the playhead over the area you want, without the clip selected and then press 'm' and it should add a marker to the sequence instead. You can make this easier by toggling the blue 'V1' (or V2, V3, whichever the clips you want to add markers to are on) to the left of the sequence window which will 'toggle the track for targeting this track'. If you toggle this blue box off, your playhead will not automatically select/highlight the clip, which means you can add markers much more easily. Another way to turn this off is by going to 'Sequence -> Selection Follows Playhead' and turn it off.
When I get back from a shoot, all my clips get labeled and put into a folder on the network. I create a folder of keyframe exports. It would be great if I could export a marker frame for each clip that auto names itself to the clip name. This can get complicated for sequences that have multiple layers, and the screenshot may be a composite of several layers. -maybe have the option to "label by clip name" on layer "v1".
We don't have that functionality yet, but a work around in the meantime could be to use Automation Blocks to name your markers and then export with PM. ruclips.net/video/a_JR-t9vmGc/видео.html

PM isn’t setup for that sort of functionality, but if you add Automation Blocks to your workflow, you can automate what you’re interested in doing. This should start you in the right direction ruclips.net/video/a_JR-t9vmGc/видео.htmlsi=pQtvefE2eMvv15lA
Shot logs are a great example. Producers frequently need spreadsheets with descriptions of images and thumbnails. Until now, that was a very manual and tedious process.
You're providing wonderful information it's a shame people go for less professional tutorials
I appreciate you saying so. Very kind words!
Love this! This sped up a good portion of my workflow. Thank you 👍
Heck yeah!!!
So dope! Looks great too. I think you nailed it 🔥
It was a team effort, but I’ll take the compliment ;)
Super helpful tool! Thanks a lot 🙌
thank you!
You bet!

@@BetterEditor Thank you again - this tool is saving me a tonne of time
Thanks I can see using this with transcripts sent to clients for review.
That’s a great idea. Simple enough to spit out and drop in a doc.
Nice tool. Does it have the ability to pull information from the Marker Comment on export as well as the name?
Thanks Sir !
You bet!

Thank you for this comment. We just released a new version (v1.0.3) that resolves this issue.

Unfortunately no there isn’t at this time. Sorry! Best solution is to make sure your clips and sequence are in rec709 color space.

Sorry for the late reply. PM does online work with sequence markers. That means the ones that are placed in a timeline.

hm. in which cases u need many still frames?
Shot logs are a great example. Producers frequently need spreadsheets with descriptions of images and thumbnails. Until now, that was a very manual and tedious process.
@@BetterEditor hm., interesting. 1 still frame per video file or more?
Depends on the project really, but yes, in my experience it's usually 1 hero frame per shot.
My God why is this so hard.
It’s not anymore 😎
Ummm, it does not work. Nothing happens when I click export

How can I export multiple videos?
