Welcome to your doom! For the sake of nostalgia I might have to get this. I don’t collect the 3.75/4 inch stuff, but I love that scale for the old video game characters.
I know this figure is for 1/18 scale figure collector and i respect that, as a 1/12 scale figure collector i will respond like this, “come on just make it 1/12, i would swoop all the figures of the Altered Beast if that is the case”.
I saw all three of wave 1 for 9.97 each at Walmart. Had both Altered Beast wolf and Axle in my hand but left them near the counter. Thought if I waited longer they might go on sale later on Walmart. Or would appear cheaper at either Ross, Burlington, Marshalls, TJ Maxx. If I'm patient enough and if they do appear.
Dude they're $10 and Walmart exclusive. Good chance you won't be seeing them again outside of Walmart for that price. I just found one today randomly in store waiting for a prescription. Was the only Werewolf with 3 Axels sitting around.
I have mixed feelings about this. The proportions are very strange, despite being articulated you can’t recreate any of the poses from the game, not even his idle stance. It’s also tiny so it’s not fitting in with any other 6” figure. And I would’ve preferred a fireball, his signature attack, instead of a spirit ball, which doesn’t even come with a plastic stand to hold it. It’s okay, definitely worth buying, but it could’ve been better.
It'd be neat if the buzz from this figure spurred on other toy companies to make something! Like Jada Toys! Or.... big maybe on this one... Storm Collectibles.
