    11:58 - I thought Swiatek's serve was better this year but Putintseva was returning extremely well. Her drop shots were also very effective against Swiatek. Also Putintseva was able to largely absorb the pressure during rallies. End result was quite a lot of unforced errors by Swiatek. All of these put a lot of pressure on Swiatek and perhaps this is a blue print for others on how to beat her in future.

    Came a shock for me that Iga lost aswell . I wonder why (and I"v seen it before) .Iga had no plan B .Insteed she overhit more and more .She forgot that old rule keeping the ball in
    play and chaning the pace. ( moonballing shaping and bringing Pudienseva to the net with short sliceangels, and geting the net aswell .Insted of hitting hard and flat Iga might
    have put Putenseva out of her comfortzone. So the lesson for Iga is playing with Diversety ! Your comment coach ?

    • @IntuitiveTennis
      @IntuitiveTennis  18 дней назад

      I think she just needs more matches on grass to figure out how to win. Even Sampras needed time to figure the grass out, not comparing Iga to him since he had the ultimate grass game but Iga can win on fast hard courts which means she can win on grass. Movement and point consturction are different on grass. People used to say Nadal had no shot at Wimbledon and he made 5 finals.

    I am half expecting Kalinskaya to get hurt again playing Rybakina like she did in Rome last year, but if she doesn’t then I think Rybakina is going to beat her anyway.
    Rybakina beat Kalinskaya in Miami last year when she was hurt and almost came back to beat her when she was even more hurt in Madrid last year.
    I think if she beats Kalinskaya then Svitolina or Wang won’t be able to stop her and Ostapenko and Collins will probably kill each other in the quarterfinals so Rybakina will be able to defeat the winner.
    Once Rybakina is in the final I don’t see her losing it even to Gauff.

    • @IntuitiveTennis
      @IntuitiveTennis  18 дней назад

      It’s most likely going to be Rybakina all the way

      @@IntuitiveTennis
      Normally when I watch matches that Rybakina wins in straight sets fairly easily I see massive holes in her tennis that still makes me worry about the next match, but against Woz she only made a few mistakes that allowed Woz to win a single game and none of her mistakes actually jeopardized her path to victory. Her match against Svitolina in Roland Garros was easy but it was mostly because of Svitolina’s horrible playing and I knew Rybakina would struggle against Paolini or lose against her if she played like that again, but if Rybakina plays like she did in her last match she will definitely beat Kalinskaya.

      None of this is necessary to win at WTA. Of course when some has variety they can have a lot of success ie Barty, but the vast majority of top WTA players have no variety whatsoever. Iga can win Wimbledon!

    The obvious point is that Raducanu should not have signed up for the mixed in the first place. It was totally predictable she would pull out. It's also easy enough to understand why she gets so much negativity. It's probably not her fault, ultimately. She's probably similar to someone like Tomic - a victim of horrendous parenting. But it has damaged her personality and I personally doubt she'll be able to mature into a well rounded person while playing pro tennis. She's clearly volatile and suffering from mental health issues and I suspect not great to be around. Hopefully as she matures and gets some distance from her upbringing she may be able to escape it, but many do not.
