Yeah I think this guy might be the real deal. I went to one of the pre-season games and in the second half today I saw the style of play I saw there really coming together. Building up from deep with short passes but then accelerating into space in the final 3rd. They suck the opponents in and then open up the channels. I’m excited!
I like how he ignores the media trying to bait him about Quansah coming off. He just ignore it, which is the best approach. Klopp was intense and all business, but maybe felt too much compassion at times for players, media etc.

Slot showed exactly what all Feyenoord fans already were saying. it can go bad the first half but he is tactical so good, he will tell exactly during half time what to do to win the match.
Yeah the tactical tweaks at halftime were clear to see. Loved it!

As a Dutchman, I really hope Slot will succeed in England and have succeses. Such a great, down to earth guy and most of all a great coach/manager.
Really liking the way he answers questions, he seems extremely focused.
before he gives an interview he waits for half an hour and reads the summary and reactions in the media and really prepares himself before he gives an interview

Arne is typical Dutch. Not holding back but telling what he sees and thinks. Pretty straight forwarded.
His players will love him for that even the substitutes.

Genuine, honest, straight to the point and a big personality, knows when to make changes and was honest about the first half. I know it's only the first game and it was against Ipswich but still, I'm very happy with Arne Slot so far. Hopefully this will continue.

I really hope we get to play Liverpool in the Champions League. Just to see our coach again. I am so glad he is doing well and he won the first match. Its also nice to see that he is the exact same as he was here. He will do amazing. Liverpool fans couldnt have hoped for a better coach after Jurgen.

So saying Klopp often waited too long to make changes is too early, this is Arne’s first game and when Liverpool will be in different competitions around December, with players being injured or not available due to fitness issues, we will see.
Yeah they'd have to have an obvious howler like Lovren vs Spurs at Wembley. Slot seems more proactive than reactive in that respect. Good signs 🤞

I love him. Very managerial, straight forward. Not an approach of entertainment as a manager, it's just pure business. Play and win love it.
Aside from his calmness on the sideline that positively affects his team, I really liked the timing of his substitutes: he reacted the first half long balls problem on the half time. Let alone replacing both full backs and bringing Gakpo which brought a wave of new energy. I know it's too early, but Slot in charge looks very promising.
He's famous in NL because the many times he's changed games during halftime with his tactics and substitutes.

I’ve liked him from his very first interviews. Now seeing his press conferences and pundit interviews, I’m convinced he’s the right man for this club… honest, straight talking, calm and collected.

Little bit surprised he specifically called Jarrel out. He’s a young lad still learning his trade. But I suppose he wouldn’t have got anywhere near the first team unless he had the mentality to deal with knock-backs.
Definitely a different approach from Arne so far. He’s clearly believes 100% in his methods.
He didn't call Jarell out. He was actually protecting him. He took Jarell off so he didn't want fans or the media to make him into the scapegoat by saying "it wasn't only Jarell".
He does this all the time, especially with youngsters who he believes have the capacity to improve a specific aspect of their game.

As a Feyenoordfan I still haven't seen the full "Slot" potential today. The players weren't all defending and hunting the ball as great as Feyenoord did.
That being said, the combinations were pretty solid. In the first half they just lost it in the last phase of the attack.
They weren't ever really in trouble.
Slot, like so many times at Feyenoord, knows what to say during half time and it worked out in the end.
I don't think we will 100% play like Feyenoord, I'd say he will mix something up with Jurgen's and Arne's
