zizou ace no one makes dua to anyone else but allah .. we just sometimes make dua for allah and pleed to his mercy through his love for prophet mohammad and imams .. i know some shia say ya ali or ya hussein ... if they mean that ali or hussein will make something happen to them without allah then they are wrong but if they are pleeding dua to allah through his love for ali or hussein then its ok .. and there are many narrations that show sahabas doing dua to allah and pleeding for him thru prophet mohammad .. during his life and after his death .. nothing wrong with that .. allah says to seek him through “waseela” ... and waseela can be many things .. ur prayer ur zaka ur every day good deeds and also through his prophets and imams ... of course u might say why imams .. well that’s another topic since u need to believe they are appointed by allah like we believe ..
But i agree some shias exaggerate in the way they say things but i know their intentions are not shirk ... if it was up to me i would correct these habits .. for example the best way to say things is

Who gives authority to so called Emams such as Bukhari , Hanifa to relate the Narration to our beloved Prophet Muhammd (saw) which is considered blames and lies , if should be us to judge and decide if these are the words of our Prophet Muhammad or not.
I believe only on those narration or Ravi-Ravayat which relate to Quran all other are lies and fabrication.
If you love Prophet Muhammad (saw) then you should not let any one refer the word hadith to our Prophet Muhammad (saw). Haidith does not mean the word of our Prophet Muhammad (saw) but the word of Ravi, the word of narrator. Majority of the Ravi or Narrator were liers and manipulators. May Allah keep all Emams in hell forever.

I'm Shia too. I never cursed any Sahaba, never cursed Aisha, never prayed to anyone except ALLAH SWT. I'm Iranian, and my family members are religious, and I never seen them do any of that, nor any other Iranian. I never seen Iranians cut themselves, that a small sect of Shia in India, but I have seen Iranians tap their chests lightly. Khamenei put a fatwa for those that do curse Aisha, and for those that cut themselves, saying that it's against Islam. This stigma against Shia are extreme people, like Isis is extreme Sunni's.

I'm not Muslim but it seems like getting a tattoo is technically disrespectful to Allah because he owns your body, you are his creation, so to alter that in a permanent way is disrespectful. Let’s discuss their sources. According to Shia, the 12 imams know the ghqyb (unseen), they know what is & what will be and they do not die EXCEPT by their choice!! If the Prophet (pbuh) himself didn’t know somethings, how could they know?
If they wont die except by choice than why do they allegedly claim that Ali (ra) hid from omar (ra) when he was hurting Fatema (ra), according to their false narrations? How could Ali (ra) who according to them carried the door of khaybar by himself, do a coward thing to his wife when he only dies by choice! AstaghfurAllah.
Why is the mahdi some shia claim is alive, why is he scared to come out & why is he hiding if he knows what is & will be & will only die by his choice!!
Ali (ra) himself gave bayaa (allegiance) to Abu Bakir & Omar, yet Shia say those who gave bayaa to them are hypocrites & murtadoon (kuffar), pls explain Ali (ra)?
Al Hassan also gave bayaa to Mu’awiyah, how could Al Hassan give up leadership of the Muslims to a kaffir (astaghfurAllah)?

We make dua for allah too majority of the time but when people ask something from the prophets they are not asking FROM them that particular thing its just like a رسالة. Think of it this way yeah..you want to ask someone from an important person, so you talk to someone that knows that important person is is highly respected and loved by them to ask for you, you get it? So no its not shirk cuz shias arent making duas directly asking from the prophets if that makes any sense.

Why do you ask the doctor for help, is it so hard to ask Allah directly to cure you? Is the doctor mightier than Allah?
I want the same people who bring this as an argument, to never go to a doctor again, as well as never ask a question or ask anything of anyone except Allah. In addition, you should not eat anything, because one should only feed oneself from Allah and not help themselves.
The verse is about relying on Allah alone and knowing that he has all authority and power. From the servant's point of view, everyone but Allah is said to be powerless, mortal and perishable. This is what the verse is talking about, not to ignore anything around you and only ask Allah if you want something. In contrary, Allah commanded us to seek the means of nearness to him:
"O you who have believed, fear Allah and seek *the means [Waseelah = Tawassul]* of nearness to Him and strive in His cause that you may succeed."
[Qur‘an 5:35]
"…And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muḥammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness *FOR* them, they would have found Allah Accepting of Repentance and Merciful."
[Qur‘an 4:64]
Allah is the only essence that can be relied on and worshiped. Only He deserves man's trust in everything. But using one's creations, specially his chosen ones, as a means does not make one a Polytheist (Mushrik).
We see an example in the Holy Qur'an, when the sons of Prophet Ya‘qub (ع) asked their father to intercede with Allah for forgiveness of their sins:
They said, "O our father, *ask for us forgiveness of our sins;* indeed, we have been sinners."
[Quran 12:97]
According to your deviant Salafi belief, the Prophet Ya‘qub (ع) would have to say that they (his sons) should make a direct supplication to Allah, otherwise they would join their father with Allah. But what did the Holy Prophet Ya‘qub (ع) say instead?
He said, *"I will ask forgiveness for you from my Lord.* Indeed, it is he who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."
[Quran 12:98]
Did prophet Ya‘qub (ع) just associate himself with Allah? Has the Prophet of Allah become a Mushrik? Na’udhubillah. So why are you ascribing Shirk to us even though we are practicing the exact same supplication as the sons of Ya‘qub (ع)?
You would respond to me by saying that what the sons of Ya‘qub (ع) did was not Shirk, because the Prophet Ya‘qub (ع) was still alive at that time, unlike now, as Prophet Muhammad (ص) and his Ahlulbayt (ع) are apparently dead. And that Allah says:
"You cannot make the dead hear..."
[Qur‘an 30:52]
We respond by bringing the next verse, which makes an important exception clear:
"…You will only make *hear* those *who believe in Our verses, as they are in submission [Muslimun] to Allah."*
[Qur‘an 30:53]
Two dilemma situations arise from this verse:
-Either you insist despite this verse that the Prophet (ص) and the Ahlulbayt (ع) cannot hear, which, however, would mean that you accuse them of kuffr [disbelief] in the signs of Allah.
-Or you accept the fact that certain dead believers can hear us, which then ensures that your Salafi/Wahhabi basis is broken and the Shirk accusations against us are no longer tenable.
And that’s not the only verse refuting you, Allah also says:
"Do *NOT* say that those who are killed in Allah’s cause are dead; *they are alive,* though *you do not realize it."*
[Quran 2:154]
All of our imams, except Imam Mahdi (عج) (who is still physically alive), were murdered either by sword or by poison. And since all who have been killed in Allah‘s cause, i.e. the martyrs, are alive, we can conclude that practicing Tawassul is neither Shirk nor Bid’a, just like asking someone for help in everyday life. Of course, we don't believe that they are physically alive, but their souls are still with us, they can hear us and see us just as we read it in the Qur’an. If you are a Muslim, never again attribute death to them.
They are only the intermediaries [Waseelah] of our Du’a to Allah. If one calls Prophet Muhammad (ص) or Imam ‘Ali (ع) for help, he is, in fact, calling Allah for help through intermediary of the Prophet or the Imams, and he does that with the understanding that the Prophet or the Imams doe not have any independent power, but rather what they have [which many others lack] is that they have credit in front of Allah and that Allah does not put down their requests if they pray to Allah on my behalf.

Was this said in relation to people going to our Beloved Nabi (salaALLAHu'alayhi wasallam), the only rotting people are those who believe our Beloved Nabi (salaALLAHu'alayhi wasallam) is rotting may ALLAH protect us from this evil belief.

Now, obviously if Asma'a (RA) was 100 years old in 73 hijrah she should have been 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah. If Asma'a (RA) was 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah, Ayesha (RA) should have been 17 or 18 years old at that time. Thus, Ayesha (RA), if she got married in 1 AH (after hijrah) or 2 AH, was between 18 to 20 years old at the time of her marriage.

According to almost all the historians Asma'a (RA), the elder sister of Ayesha (RA) was ten years older than Ayesha (RA). It is reported in Taqri'bu'l-tehzi'b as well as Al-bidayah wa'l-nihayah that Asma'a (RA) died in 73 hijrah when she was 100 years old. Now, obviously if Asma'a (RA) was 100 years old in 73 hijrah she should have been 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah. If Asma'a (RA) was 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah, Ayesha (RA) should have been 17 or 18 years old at that time. Thus, Ayesha (RA), if she got married in 1 AH (after hijrah) or 2 AH, was between 18 to 20 years old at the time of her marriage.

I am Shia Muslim and thanks to Allah. We don't ask nothing from the dead or anyone. The only thing we say is pray for us from the Shaheed (Martyred) only or the prophet(pbuh). We don't ask for nothing only from Allah. Remember Allah says in the Quran don't worry Shaheed(martyrs) are alive not dead. The best martyrs were imams such s imam Hussain and other imams.

Ali is slightly mistaken here. God has enable his awliyas to do things other humans deem unnatural or as miracles. This is where tassawwuf comes into play, but these modern neo salafis unfortunately completely deny the spiritual realm of Islam. The person that said to Prophet Sulaiman that he can bring forth the throne of Sheba in the blink of an eye was neither a prophet or a jinn. He was an awliyah of Allah. That being said the Shias do exaggerate and some definitely fall into shirk.

The word hadith means " talk or talk of" . If you type word by word meaning of Quran you will see the meaning of the word hadith. Islam was one before Emams appeared among us.
Sheikh, Mufti, Alam, and Emam are the follower of Shaitan, we should read Quran, and Narrated history of Islam and decide for our children.

Quran implies that muslims should follow example of prophet muhammad saw in surah 33 ayah 21 and in surah 24 ayah 54. I pity you for reducing the status of hadiths to just mere words if you love prophet then his authentic traditions and his words should be well respected and obediently followed. Thats the problem with shias they dont take quran into account they dont want to learn anything from authentic hadiths but they want to learn every and anything from their majalis that misguides them to the point that they reject hadiths amd even overlook ayahs of quran.
The main diffrence between sunni and shia is sunnis are obedient to Allah and his prophet muhammad saw but shias insist on adding 12 people who themselves were fallible and have made mistakes(ex Ali radiyaAllahuano burnt 10 shia-tu-ali alaong with abdullah ibn sabah who claimed that Ali was incarnate of Allah audhbillah Allah prohibits punishing people by burning them because this punishment of burning people is only restricted to Allah aand Allah will burn the misguided in hellfire) so the shias themselves are making mistake by blindly following 12 fallible people who were never appointed or called imams by Allah swt nor by prophet muhammad saw and they themselves never claimed to be imams

Without a doubt shirk is the greatest sin in Islam we agree on that. The Prophet of Allah (Swt) and the Ahlulbayt (As) thought us pure Tawheed. Now we all know that there is a hadith that the intention counts behind every action. So the question is what the intention of the believers are when they are visiting the blessed Graves of the Holy Prophet (S) and his Ahlulbayt (As) You and me as muslims agree that within our very salaah we send direct salutations to the Holy Prophet (S) by saying "Assalamo Alayka AYYUHANNABIYYO warahmatollahi wabarakaatoh" This is "sigha nida" in other words "Peace be upon you O Prophet....." It`s a direct communication, but by the permission and power of Allah (Swt) ofcourse. Now that shows us that Allah (Swt) has made saying salaam to the Holy Prophet as a daily ibadat for the believing muslims. If saying salaam would be shirk that had never been a part of the dailiy salaah of all the muslims around the world. The reason is to acknowledge the Risaalah of the Prophet (S) and to pay the deepest love, respect and allegiance to the Holy Prophet (S) as him beeing the beloved Messenger of Allah (Swt) I`m sure you will agree that vising the graves of ones elders is permitted and a good thing to do in Islam because they have rights on us. The right RasulAllah (S) and Ahlulbayt (As) have on us are the greatest ones. Specially when Allah (Swt) has told us that martyrs arent dead they are alive. They can listen to us and they can see us by the permission and blessings of Allah (Swt) "And do not say that whoso is killed in the path of Allah his dead. No! Indeed they are alive but you do not know how." (Surah al-Baqarah:154)
Now about asking needs from them instead of Allah, thats not beeing done brother. We ask them to make dua to Allah (Swt.) for our istighfaar, our needs. This is with the intention of Shifaa`ah. Asking the holy Prophet (S) to pray for us to Allah is a sunnah and the Holy Quran is mentioning it clearly: "And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah . And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful." (Surah Nisa verse 64)
Therefore brother. The intention behind Ziayara is not to worship anyone other than Allah. Thats why the believers pray 2 Rakah of Salaah in worship to Allah alone beside the blessed Graves of Ahlulbayt, and make dua to Allah by the right of his beloved ones. We say salaam to Ahlulbayt for showing our love to them, giving our alligance..... all love for the sake of Allah (Swt) This is not shirk but the very worship of Allah Azza wa Jall.

Jazak Allah a sincere reply, but brother, verses 1:4-1:5 give us the clear direction, Vasila is not required. The quresh were not worshipping all of their Idols (some of them yes), but they called all of them Allah's friends and requested them to present their Dua (prayers) to Allah believing Allah will accept it if it went through those Idols. I visited Pakistan 5 years ago, and was shocked to notice every street in even in residential area's had a minimum 1 Pir live or dead, they can easily be translated as Vasilas. The problem is if we accept one then we open the door for millions, and if I am not exaggerating there are in hundred thousands in Pakistan alone.

TL:DR - The hadith you quotes is form shiite website and it is daeef/fabricated.
There are 2 points in my answer, point 1 talks about why waseelah is shirk. Point 2 talks about the hadith you mentioned. Directly go to POINT 2 if you are here for only hadith clarification.
POINT 1 -
In matters pertaining to shirk, there is no need to refer to any hadith because the Qur’an is extremely clear!
trying to draw close to Allah by calling on the dead or people who are absent, asking them for help, and so on. This is a form of major shirk (shirk akbar), which goes against Tawheed and means that a person is no longer considered to be a Muslim. Calling upon Allah, whether it is for a purpose such as asking Him to grant some benefit or to ward off some harm, or as an act of worship to express humility and submission before Him, can only be addressed directly to Allah. If du’aas or prayers are addressed to anything or anyone else, this is shirk. Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) says in the Qur’an: “And your Lord said: Invoke Me (and ask Me for anything), I will respond to your invocation. Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e., do not invoke Me and do not believe in My Oneness], they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!” (Soorah Ghaafir, 40:60). In this ayah, Allah explains the punishment of those who arrogantly refuse to call on Allah, whether they call on someone other than Allah or they do not call on Him at all, out of pride and self-admiration, even if they do not call on anyone else.
Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) says in the Qur’an: “Invoke your Lord with humility and in secret” (Soorah al-Araaf, 7:55). Allah commands His slaves to call on Him and not anyone else.
Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) says of the people of Hell in the Qur’an: “[They say:] By Allah, we were truly in a manifest error when we held you (false gods) as equals (in worship) with the Lord of the Worlds. (Soorah al-Shuara, 26:96-97)
Anything that results in equating something other than Allah with Allah in worship or acts of obedience is shirk, the crime of associating partners with Him. Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) says in the Qur’an: “And who is more astray than one who calls (invokes) besides Allah, such as will not answer him until the Day of Resurrection, and who are (even) unaware of their calls (invocations) to them? And when mankind are gathered (one the Day of Resurrection), they (false deities) will become enemies for them and will deny their worshipping.” (Soorah al-Ahqaaf, 46:5-6)
Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) says in the Qur’an: “And whoever invokes (or worships) besides Allah, any other god, of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely, al-kaafiroon (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah) will not be successful.” (Soorah al-Muminoon, 23:117)
Allah states that anyone who calls on anything other than him is taking that thing as a god, as He (سبحانه و تعالى) says in the Qur’an: “And those, whom you invoke or call upon instead of Him, own not even a qitmeer (the thin membrane over a date-stone). If you invoke (or call upon) them, they hear not your call, and if (in case) they were to hear, they could not grant it (your request) to you. And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your worshipping them. And none can inform you (O Muhammad), like Him Who is the All-Knower (of everything).” (Soorah Faatir, 35:13-14) In this ayah, Allah explains that He is the only One Who deserves to be called upon, because He, and no one else, is the Sovereign who is directing everything. Those things that are worshipped cannot hear du’aas, let alone respond to the one who invokes them, and even if they were able to hear, they cannot respond, because they do not have the power to either benefit or harm.
The mushrik Arabs, whom the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was sent to call, were disbelievers because of this shirk. They would call upon Allah sincerely at times of difficulty, but they became disbelievers at times of ease and plenty, when they would call on others besides Him. Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) says in the Qur’an: “And when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allah, making their Faith pure for Him only, but when He brings them safely to land, behold, they give a share of their worship to others.” (Soorah al-Ankaboot, 29:65) and “And when harm touches you upon the sea, those that you call upon besides Him vanish from you except Him (Allah Alone). But when He brings you safely to land, you turn away (from Him)” (Soorah al-Isra 17:67) and “till when you are in the ships and they sail with them with a favorable wind, and they are glad therein, then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think that they are encircled therein, they invoke Allah, making their Faith pure for Him Alone” (Soorah Yoonus, 10:33)
The shirk of some people nowadays goes even further than the shirk of people in the past, because they direct some acts of worship to something other than Allah, calling upon them and asking them for help even at times of distress; laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (there is no strength and no help except in Allah).
To sum up: asking the dead for anything is shirk, and asking the living for anything that no one except Allah is able to do, is also shirk.
POINT 2-
There are literally hundreds of thousands of ahadith which have been manufactured after the death of these scholars and people have attributed all kinds of things to these pious slaves of Allah. It is absolutely inconceivable that a scholar of the status of Abdullah ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) would have said the above words of blatant shirk which are absolutely against the clear teachings and guidance of the Qur’an. Abdulla ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنه) is considered amongst the best scholars of Qur’an and Sunnah, and …he dared not say these words of shirk. Please bear in mind, that there are plenty of ahadith which are manufactured and added long after the death of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) and his companions by unscrupulous people. The first condition of accepting a hadith or narration as [authentic] or sahih, is that it should be in conformity with the Qur’an if it is not, then it will be immediately rejected! [Nevertheless, for the satisfaction of the reader, The footnote to this hadith in the book ‘Fada’il al-Sahaba’ by Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (same reference as provided by questioner) clearly states that one narrator in the chain is accused of lying and the other one is accused of fabrication; moreover, Ibn Habban said two of the narrators in the chain of his hadith are unknown to him]

Two things which distinguishes Tawassul and Shirk should be noted here.
First, we do not believe that the Prophet and Imams have any independent power from Allah. Second, Allah is the one who assigned the intermediate. The idol worshipers used a wrong intermediate, and that was another reason why it was condemned. Moreover, the idol worshippers believed that the idols can cause harm or render a benefit.
