- Week three we covered some serious ground in Alaska. I saw Mt. Mckenley or Denali, which was a lifelong dream. God's creation is specular, incredible, amazing beyond what words can express. We visited Deadman Lake, Tok, North Pole, Fairbanks, Denali, Anchorage, Hope, Homer, and Whittier. We saw grizzly bears, moose, caribou, porcupine and some crazy little squirrels. I ended the week a little under the weather.
Join us on our Alaska Adventure. We are traveling in a 2003 seventeen-foot Road Trek van from East Tennessee to Denali National Park in Alaska.
I am traveling with my 84-year-old dad in a 20-year-old van. 6 weeks and 12,000 miles of rough roads and rugged country. Make no mistake it is an adventure, not a vacation. A lifetime of memories and experiences.

I think my favorite part of this video is at 17:29. Looking at God’s beautiful creation and listening to “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms”. My heart was full and overjoyed. How could anyone possibly doubt that God doesn’t exit? Becky, I think God lifted the clouds so that you could see your lifetime wish to see Mount McKinley. Love Alaska was stationed there from 1970 to 72 and 82 to 86 and went back on vacation in 2004. Gods glory.

Becky Its absolute beautiful ❤ I've wanted to go to Alaska since I was in my early 20s and now I'm in my 60s. You definitely were blessed with some great views. God blessed you with your father joining you on this venture. You are so lucky to have him in your life. I am so glad Brett kept the clouds down, so you could see the rear of Mt. McKinley and made it worth your extra 100 mile trek. I hope you print the photo of that and hopefully one of you and your dad with the same view background. I travelled to Alaska in July 1980. London Heathrow, with a Panam 747 to Los Angeles and via the road to Fairbanks ! UNFORGETTABLE !
The Canadian part of the Alaskan Highway was NO bitumen in those days. Did a side trip to Kotzebue at the Bering Strait. From Anchorage with British Airways over the North Pole back to Heathrow.
Highest on my wishlist is a roadtrip from Santiago de Chile to Tierra del Fuego, also some sort of "Alaskan" Highway. Best is to drive from Tierra del Fuego to Fairbanks but that won't happen anymore. Apart from that I am far from being a Sun lover and stay away from the Equator !

I truly hope someone explained to you that you can see Denali from Anchorage! I have! It is even more spectacular to realize you ca see it that far away! We could see it from our home in Big Lake just off the parkway before Wasilla where Sarah Pallin lives.
The Lord loves to give His children treats. I'm certain He arranged the position of the clouds at Mt. McKinley just for you, His precious child. He knew you would appreciate it.
