This was an amazing performance. Yes, Whitneys voice was not as great as it used to be, but she always gave her all when she was performing even in her later years. She still had amazing performances during her last years (her Oprah performance in 2009, X Factor performance in Italy in 2009 and her American Music Award performance also from 2009). Some of her great voice was still there, when she was well rested. I miss Whitney a lot, but her music and performances will always be there.
I don't particularly care for Kim Burrell singing. She's good. But Whitney Houston I grew with her and when she 1st started. A young woman of color with such excitement. She sung songs that touched my life.

As whatevers been gifted to you is supported by an energy or energies that do not fade or age (as in grow old). Too many folk look at others possessions (unearthly) as eartly possessions and will try to define them. Forgetting that one thing has zero to do with the other. Whitney said it herself, she just wasn't having fun anymore. Singing was fun to her (as it should be) as your gifts are meant to produce memorable moments. good duet but CeCe Winans and Whitney doing Bridge Over Troubled Waters for the VH1 honors was the best duet EVER truly I am a huge Whitney fan and she is the best and the voice and I've never heard her sing with CeCe like this in any performance she's ever done please do a a video reaction four Bridge Over Troubled Waters Whitney and CeCe VH1 honors trust me the best!
Thanks for this reaction, when this performance took place it immediately had a place in my heart. Kim Burrell did an amazing job. Whitney took us to church here :) And to your point, her gift never left. Even during the last tour she was capable now and then of show stopping performances.
