I remember that auction. I bid on that same engine. Glad it found a great home! It went a little above my budget that the wife had set on me. But I did get some other items I was wanting.

Glad to see it ended up in good hands! Was watching that auction to see how everything went. Thankful that I had the pleasure to meet Tom once and see this set in his office.

Amazing video and an amazing tribute to Snyder and McComas. I was the one who purchased McComas' dark grey Commodore Vanderbilt, which was the next lot after Snyder's C&O Hudson. I do have a few short videos of it, but I will be doing a full video on it that will also be part of my Tom McComas tribute video series. Tom McComas was a friend of mine and I was able to meet him back in December, 2022 at his store/studio. He was an absolute treasure of a person and it was his I Love Toy Trains show that got me into the hobby. RIP Tom McComas and Tom Snyder.

Great video! Glad you won the auction! It's comforting knowing it's in good hands. I was fortunate enough to see it at the Edison Greenberg show. Thank you for bringing it! - Ryan

A incredible video! A wonderful tribute to Tom and all he did for all of us. If it weren't for him I wouldn't of gotten into video editing or being interested in O Gauge at all! I had the pleasure of meeting Tom in 2019. I bought a 2411 Pipe Flatcar from the store and he was the one who checked me out. I was able to find the exact car that I bought from them in I Love Toy Trains the Final Show. Tom will be missed may he rest in peace.

If I knew a few things about IRL engines, I know nearly nothing about their models, let alone Lionel. Hearing about this little history as well as the personal attachment to Lionel is just so sweet to hear. Still can't get enough of this lovely corndog engine, in model form or not.

My god, I hope TM doesn't retire. That's my biggest concern because I was hoping to appeare with my layout in one of their videos when it gets finished.

Maybe the observation car was stolen.
By the way the observation car that they used for Tom Synder’s hudson that you can use to make it longer again was the Lionel 6-19150 Chesapeake & Ohio Aluminum Observation Car.

Congratulations on winning the C&O Hudson Tom Snyder set! I’m glad that this set was now in safe care. Also, I didn’t know that there were two more passenger cars with this C&O set?
RIP to both Tom Snyder and McComas.

What a great addition to a collection. If this was art. It would be a Rembrandt.

I checked out the Stout auction, I was surprised that Tom had some really clean post war pieces that went for bargain prices. Provenance, I would love to get a piece of Karl Burkhardt collection, iam trying to run it down.

What happened to the aluminum observation car of the Tom Synder's C&O?
I'm so glad that train and its 2 cars are safe with you and I really hope you take really great care of it for both Toms. All if TM's trains and accessories used in their past videos
including rare ones, custom painted, custom built, pilot samples, and prototypes really mean a lot to me like they do for Tom McComas along with Jeff.
